Wait wait wait. You psycologically trained yourself to love the Pokemon anime as if you lived and breathed it because a video blew up and are now a somewhat well recognized member of the anipoke community. That's.....what I call commitment!
Kind of hard to get excited about getting 2 copies of almost the exact same game with only a few differences. Yeah, let me buy both so that I can get some little accessory & very rarely touch whichever becomes the secondary game
Ya know Ginger.... I can relate the same way: For me..... I have to end up waiting to get my copy of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond for Christmas instead of on launch date. :/
Dude, I can relate I did wanted my pre order for Pokémon Double pack from the Pokémon center to get the cute damn plushie Keychain, but they were sold out..... this was 2 Months ago. So I settle on buying one version with the random plushie keychain qwq ------------------------------------ And my order hasn't arrived on the release date even doe I ordered this 2 month ago. Doing my best to avoid spoilers for the meantime. Have a nice day :D
Pokemon is such a cool and iconic franchise and it’s unfortunate that it has one of the least innovative and potentially least talented group of developers behind it. Over 25 years of the franchise and the last 10 years has been a copy/paste every 3 years which somehow manages to lose content instead of gaining stuff. Sword and Shield was such a pitiful game and fans of the franchise deserve so much better.
The story we never knew is that this is The Pokemon Company's marketing ploy to sell both copies of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl without having to make the special double pack edition. Words are cheap to tell buyers the double pack is cancelled.
I know this is a semi-sketch video, but for real; do not preorder. People complain so much about loot boxes and micro transactions, but the biggest problem this industry is facing right now is the fact that everyone gets too excited about games before they come out, and buy the games without knowing anything about them other than "___ made the game, and it's called ___". This whole preorder trend makes the bar for production go down the drain at record pace. Even CD Project Red thought they could get away with releasing a half-assed game because so many people would buy the game regardless of the state it's in. Pokemon has been doing this since XY, and a ton of other game producers have been doing it for as long or longer than that. I understand wanting the games as soon as they come out, but do you honestly want a half-assed game day one as opposed to a great game day 2 or 3?
so I tried to pre-order at Best Buy like Tuesday and I couldn’t get the double pack, so I pre-ordered at Walmart and got the double pack with the penson Friday, even though I can’t write in print.
I can feel your pain. However I did secure my preorder. It was a midnight release and I had the double pack. Our store only had 2! And there were 3 preorders. I was lucky enough to get the last doublepack with the pins (Had no clue on the pins being included but was a nice surprise. Gamestop legit had less stock of the promotions than the games separately. Lord Arceus this doesn’t happen in January
I got a physical copy of BDiamond first thing. D&P are some of my favorite games of all time, Unfortunately ORuby and ASaphire are remakes that will never be topped.
The struggle 😭. I've been hunting for a new switch lite (I didn't have a switch at all) before the game came out. It was out of stock everywhere near me. After I got my preorder from Gamestop, I drove to Best Buy, Target and Walmart. Luckily Walmart still had the new switch lite from the day before. So I bought it 😁. I exercised a lot of delayed gratification this week.
