It would be weird to drop the bombshell that ash is around his late 20s to mid 30s. While the Pokémon world has seen minimal technological changes since Journeys. And going by the logic of Pokémon since Ash is 10 throughout the series have seen major technological innovations and advancements that in the real world took decades, while the guy himself is 10 years old through these changes. Meaning human biology and year system works differently in the Pokémon world. I think ash would be probably 14 or maybe 15/16, as going by the show's logic. However, if they decided to make a decade pass, making him 20 years old. I wouldn't argue. And I wouldn't expect any major interaction between the two other than a symbolic passing the torch from one previous protagonist to the current one. And we get to see Ash as a cameo.

I don't think Liko is meant to be "The New Ash" because if being accomplished means evolving your starter Pokémon instead of winning a world tournament, then that is the weirdest flex I've heard all year. Especially since Ash and Pikachu were against evolving Pikachu into Raichu, and Pikachu, along with Ash's unevolved mons, proved their own worth in their own strength without needing to evolve at all.

It would have been awesome if Ash and all his travel companions were grown up and teachers at the school.

Don't Ever Compare this trash to ash and Pikachu.. ash wanted to evolve Pikachu multiple times but Pikachu didn't want too.. Ash's Pikachu will MOP the floor with this girls pokemon and all these new Pokemon.. this new generation will never cherish and give thanks too all the OG Pokemons and there trainers..

You can say some critics repeat points, and granted that can be the case. But some of those points, like the whole “How did she survive getting stabbed by a Lightsaber” thing are repeated for a reason No disrespect to Moses Ingram, I’m sure she’s a Great actor and an even better person. In my opinion as much as I loved Gen 1 & 2 growing up in the 90’s/early 2000’s Ash & Pikachu’s journey should have lasted no longer than 7 years. It’s called Pokémon The Anime, not the Ash Ketchum show and the world of Pokémon is vast & meant to have infinite characters with their own Pokémon Stories to tell which I wished the Anime did just like the Games by changing the protagonist more often a lot sooner. If the purists have been watching since 1997 & 1998 I am shocked they have not grown tired of seeing Ash and Team Rocket every week which gets repetitive after many years. I know it’s about the “journey” but one of the reasons I dropped off watching the Anime was the repetitiveness of seeing Ash lose all the time and now it’s about time for a change

But due to various spam I’ve dealt with on Discord(and a Lot of Bad Faith takes), I’ve grown to love HZ for deviating from just Copying and Pasting the games’ story…and actually Succeeding doing it(cough cough Journeys)

My order: 8. Johto journeys (More of an ash OG team) 7. Sun and Moon (Ash’s team was pretty overwhelming tbh, it reminded me of Tobias with all those Ultra beasts and Legendary) 6. Advanced (Not much to say but it was alright) 5. Journeys (Like the return of the characters but his companions weren’t the best 4. Black and White (I grew up with it, that’s why it’s high, Although ash was dumb, some of his dumb moments make me laugh, not to mention the teasing from Iris. I loved watching this series and graphics were amazing. If only they could’ve done better, this would be hands down #1. 3. XY I also grew up with XY but looking back, all I can say is overrated for a number of reasons. 1. Sawyer acting so immature, although he matured later on, it still kills the series imo, the battles literal jokes besides the semi finals. Also he talked so much. 2. Clemont being very inconsistent. Yes his inventions were nice but they all blew up and the names were pretty bad, it was funny at first but it got very annoying because it kept happening constantly. Also how Tf is he slower than his little sister 3. Bonnie was annoying, her saying “Will you take care of my brother” was also funny but when she had the dream it literally changed my opinion on that. 4. Alían should’ve appeared much earlier in the series, he was a great rival but he showed up way too late. 5. Shauna, Tierno and Trevor were all boring ngl. 6. Serena’s performances appear too often which didn’t really interest me, I had to skip all those rewatching the series. But good series overall 2. Original (Funny series tbh, especially team rocket, whenever they would get mad. Ash OG team was incredible especially when Pikachu alongside his starter Pokémon were lost together in “Island if the giant Pokémon” The OG team was amazing 1. Diamond and Pearl Paul wasn’t all my favorite at first but he had his funny moments and I got heartbroken when he abandoned chimchar, but that’s were ash saves the day, and Paul paid for it when he got destroyed by Brandon’s Regi Pokémon. Dawn and Brock were amazing too. Amazing team and amazing showdown with ash and Paul in the sinnoh league. Unfortunately Tobias has to ruin it all. But by far the best series This is all my opinion, we all have different opinions.

To be fair Scarlet’s paradox pokemon are a lot easier to explain than Violet’s. Prehistoric evolutionary ancestors came from the time machine. Oh neat so Donphan used to be this big elephant guy I can see that. But with Violet I feel like they were ALL just… “I built a Gardevoir Gallade hybrid machine!” “Why though?…” “… *shrugs*”

Paul is, and always will be my favorite rival. I was always happy to see him cause it radiated "I dont care" energy from him when I was a kid which was a mood when I was watching the Diamond and Pearl anime. Paul was sure, a jerk but I got over stimulation so easily - the 'I don't like noisy crowds' is just him. He just literally was doing his own thing and then the freaking Chosen One rolls up and ruins his moment, I kinda like how he just doesn't mess around and cuts Team Rocket's crap sometimes. Do we really need some up-beat cheerful motto every time with the same disguises that Ash easily - and maybe just a theory - but maybe Ash already knows its Jesse James and Meowth but he can easily beat them with just Pikachu, so maybe Ash is a little messed up. Ever anyone think about that? Ash is an adrenaline junkie, lets face it he never wants to go home to his mom and talk about his problems, he would rather stay with Professor Cerise/Sakuragi despite Pallet Town being so close - research fellow my butt, he'd rather stay with Kukui. Ash has problems, he's messed up and you can't convince me other wise. Paul acknowledges this that Ash uses his cheerfulness as a facade for when he's really angry. Yet they complain about Pokemon Horizons and want another rival like Paul, everyone get a grip. Proves we weren't ready for Diamond and Pearl's anime. Though great video.
