Okay ... new subscriber here, and gosh darn it all your recipes have me hungry. Years ago I worked in a bank in New Britain, CT. that was frequented by mostly Polish people who lived-in the area, all the girls I worked with came from Poland. Up until that time I had never tasted a pierogi or potato pancake, but man oh man you cannot beat handmade at home. I've not had any as good as the ones they would bring in since about the early 90's ... I'm definitely going to try yours, and this bread, yes please. In the oven now. For some reason the dough stuck to my towel, even though I used a lot of flower. The dough seemed to have a bit too much moisture....maybe because I proofed it in the oven on my proofing setting. So now I'm making one loaf of bread and a small roll!

My wonderful Polish Grandmother --bless her heart, used to be famous for her babka that she made all by hand---even when she was recovering from cancer as it was good exercise for her arms----Unfortunately she took her recipe to heaven with her, and her Chrusciki recipe as well... Do you have any good recipes for either? I know she used golden raisins in her babka and it was just delicious with a little butter on it, and her Chrusciki would just melt in your mouth! Sadly, my Dad has joined her and is with God, too, so I have no idea anymore about key ingredients that were used....I am enjoying your videos immensely and hope your family is well and staying safe! xo

I would like to make this but I don't have any cast iron skillets but I do have a stone ware baking dish would that be a doable substitute? Otherwise I maybe able to see if I can track one down in the family.

Yum! Fresh baked pan bread, although lately have had trouble with getting the dough to properly rise, thought maybe the yeast had gone off, so went and bought fresh, and it still didn't seem to rise all the way? The house was cool, as I just had got home from being gone for awhile, but not that cool.
I know making videos is time consuming, etc...so no judgement, but lots of begging for more videos and for more often. 🙆🏻♀️ I’ve done all the ones here, some several times (yummy by the way) but I’d love a larger Polish repertoire. At any rate much love, admiration, and appreciation for both of you!
