Them going from dead bodies are SO GROSS to the catacombs being their favorite and wanting to touch the skull walls !? These boys have so much complexity and depth.
It's hilarious how, while Frankie is trying to explain something, he then adds something that truly has NOTHING to do with the topic of conversation and Joe calls him out on it 😅😂
i love reading the comments before watching the episode or meanwhile i just started it and they are ALL all over the place and its so difficult to guess how the fuck they got to each theme 😭
I have no fucking idea why, but as a kid I LOVED the shot in The Cat in the Hat where the pile of apples on the counter tumbles over. I would get genuinely excited for the sound of the apples falling. That shot still lived in my head rent free. It has no real significance and is just a single moment in the movie, yet it has stuck with me.
This is like me with that part in the simpsons movie where Homer eats the piece of shrimp from the grill and it crunches. That sound lives rent free in my head. I’m forever trying to recreate that crunch.
I’ve been listening to this podcast to go to sleep for years (since it started). I have really bad anxiety and depression and my thoughts make it hard to sleep. Listening to this podcast has me going to sleep with a smile on my face instead of crying myself to sleep like I used to. So grateful to them ❤
im an undertaker too , we transfer from the place of death to the funeral home. they dont scare me but they do make sounds sometimes from the trapped gas lol
Not an undertaker but an aspiring one. Did a placement in a funeral home and no, not creepy whatsoever, only time I got creeped out was when I was left alone in a room with one of the deceased for 40 minutes and by the end I swear I could it breathe 😂
ALLLL that Jumanji shit is so relatable; the bloody lip, the hands, the sand. It all hit some kind of funny-bone in me as a kid. AND THE PAGEMASTER?? forgettaboutit
I know nobody cares, but to be clear the significance of the burning bush was not just the fact that it was burning, but that the bush itself was not being consumed by the fire nor were Moses' bare feet burned when he approached the bush. That, and the whole angel of the Lord speaking to Moses and all that jazz.
Frankie suggesting that Joe go home and eat shellfish to see if he has an allergic reaction 😂😂 Joe needs to use zocdoc to find an allergist and do allergy testing in an environment staffed by trained medical pros.
i don't think he needs to get an allergy test tho. they spend a good amount of time talking about eating lobster and crab, so if he was allergic he would already have had a reaction
18:50 I've been hunting since I was 18, apprenticed at 16 and followed my Uncle's around on their hunt/fishing trips since 12. There is a hunter code that most hunters follow of not "showing off" your kills in a way that may be inappropriate to the general public..where I'm from you're provincially bound to not do that, they will suspend your license otherwise. I think there's something pretty powerful in hunting, especially when you can do so with a groups. You never get over seeing the sunrise from a tree-stand or the reward that you're going to feed your family and loved ones. I think it's weirder that people are fine with mass production of animals for fast-food production and being stuck in small cages while being pumped with pesticides..instead of choosing an animal that dies instantly, on it's turf, without fear, without stress and no antibiotics. "Organic" and "natural" or "free range" are not what you think they are, in fact some are legally trademarked words.
Its crazy thinking years ago in college my boyfriend was like "that douchie looking guy who makes fun of people has a podcast now and its kinda good." To now being incredibly attached to The Basement Yard and seeing Joe and Frank doing shows ❤️😂
Going through such a tough tough breakup.. I couldn’t stop crying. I knew this would help. 2 seconds in and I’m already laughing. I wish they knew how much they mean to me..
The convo with my partner during the archeologist segment: Me: "Sometimes they gotta' pick it up to lick it." Partner: "That sounds weird out of context." Me: "Talking about bones." Partner: "That's even weirder with context." Had to tell him about how you can tell if it's a bone by licking it. 🤣
