@@secondhandreactions If you do ‘Thank you god’ make sure it’s with the symphony orchestra and from Tim’s own channel. Also his new music ‘the aeroplane’ is really worth a listen:)
So glad to see you going down the Tim Minchin rabbit hole. He's been a personal favourite of mine for years and it's great to see him getting some love from you and other reactors recently - more please. On a requesting note, we all know that Ren turned us on to Dirt Miller (and thank god he did), well he is at it again. The next Ren recommendation is Asaf Avidan - 900 days (In A Box III version). Having listened to it, I think you'll love it and Asaf in general - another truly stupendously talented musician with a very unique sound and a really great performer and artist - another rabbit hole for you to explore I hope and expect - will be happy to join your exploration.
That’s really wonderful to hear, I personally know some people that experienced the horrors that go along with the topic of this song, and my heart continues to go out to them
As Christmas Approaches , not sure if you guys have reacted to it yet, cant find it on your page, But Tim has a beautiful Christmas song that my Mother plays and cries to each year. Its called "White wine in the Sun" (Does not sound like a Christmas song in your Hemisphere but Christmas here in Aussie is as hot as a devils Cauldron) Couple of nice live versions on youtube. Hope you give it a listen. Might get your heat Strings Going.
When you decide you'd like to react some of Tim's more serious work, my personal favorite is "The Aeroplane." I won't spoil it, but let's just say it shows a completely different side of his talent. Less than three minutes long, but there's a lot of emotion packed into those almost 3 minutes: The Aeroplane: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ep6o562dKvc.html
@@secondhandreactions I have to admit, it would make sense if you did "Thank You, God" next. Logical follow-up to "The Pope Song." Just please put my suggestion somewhere in the (I'm sure) ever-growing bucket of Tim Minchin suggestions, if you would be so kind lol.
@@neighborsueI suggested this song, in part, because I believe it displays a side of Tim's talent that would support your observation (which I agree with) that he and Ren could form an incredible collaborative team, whether it be on a single song or an entire musical.
There's a small documentary about Tim from around 2008 showing him just starting out (without the mascara and fuzzy hair), and growing bigely in about 6 months. This is the time of the 4 Horsemen (ie: Christopher Hitchens, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, and Daniel Dennett) and the 2012 Reason Rally held in Washington DC. All of his songs are great except one and that one is good and not the good book.
Thanks for the reply look forward to the reaction , the best one is the one at the charity bash for breast cancer i think , pink and blue background anyway cheers guys @@secondhandreactions
