Join us in 'the posh part of Kent' or as most of us call it, Sevenoaks, as we explore this historic Kent town to find out why Londoners are so obsessed with it.
We enjoy a wander through the quint essentially British town centre and stop for a coffee accompanied by the most expensive croissant ever! No visit to Sevenoaks would be complete without exploring Knole Park and having some truly enchanting encounters with the wild deer population as well as watching a cricket match, finding a piece of Beatles history and stumbling across the real Hagrid's Hut!

Here's a story for you. I worked with someone in the 80's from Sevenoaks. A friend of his moved into a lodge in Knowle park. He had a clean up etc. When he'd done he put some flowers on the mantle piece. Some days later an old lady knocked on the door and said "I have a message for you", thank you for the flowers!! He didn't sleep very well that night!!

Thank you for this of course. An area I know very well too as I live near Dartford too. A very nice area it is too. I used to go there with my Dad but sadly he died a few years ago. I have not been back there since as alas I am disabled too. But well done of course though too!

I’m an American expat living a couple of miles down the road in Otford. I fell in love with this area whilst down here for a cycling sportive in nearby Westerham. When the weather is nice, Sevenoaks cafes and beer gardens are buzzing; great atmosphere. The people are definitely more laid-back and easygoing.

What a lovely day you both had. I love Sevenoaks apart from the very busy main road that runs through it. Lovely original shops, but as you say a very expensive area to either live or shop. The Deer are beautiful aren't they? We have been to Knoll Park a few times, yet we have never found a deers antlers after they have been shed. That Croissant thing with the almonds looked delicious. I had to laugh at Jason's determined step to get to the top f the hill, then tripped. Glad you didn't fall flat on your face. Thanks Guys another interesting, historical vlog. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Love Sevenoaks, one of my fav parts of Kent! When will you go to the other district parts of Sevenoaks like in Swanley-esp Swanley Park with the mini-train..... And also Westerham, Hever, esp -Hever Castle sure you must know of them parts but have you been there?? Also I loved how Knole park was the filming location for the Beatles' "Strawberry Fields Forever" promotional music video I'm also from Kent right between Dartford/Bexley😀

The deer were so cool to see - especially when they were running. That did look like Hagrids hut. Kevin thought the Beetles arch was cool.

I was born and grew up in Sevenoaks …. Got pushed out by the people who moved here due to them pushing up the house prices. Lovely memories of playing in Knole park and growing up there though.

I got mugged by one of the deer at Knole Park when aged about 9 and on a school trip 😂😂🙈it pushed me over and literally went through my pockets 😂😂😂beautiful place to spend the day though ! 💞

One day - if it's not too far to go. Could you go to Bournemouth. I think there's a long jetty(pier) and a ferris wheel. The Durrels lived there and I think Mary Shelley is buried there?

I live in Brasted, a village very near Sevenoaks. In my opinion he's just showing the good parts of it. The center has a lot of shops but they are kind of weird, like theres a vape shop and across the road is a WHSmiths, it's hard to describe. Me and my family go out to eat here all the time but there aren't really any posh establishments. The nando's is probably the best place to eat, the wagamama is also good but in short its not really that nice.

Agreed it's not that nice, but there are lots of expensive places to eat outside the centre!
