I actually remember seeing a really cool fan art of this as a concept, and it works surprisingly well considering the color scheme of DIO's outfit. Though naturally it also resembles The World, which seems like a natural consequence.
Sounds great with the whole P.O.K.E. gimmick but Lugnut's proportions don't line up with Saitama. It would be way too bulky and kinda miss the point of One Punch Man.
I'm surprised he didn't mention turning Cyclonus into Perfect Cell, their designs are so similar and it's such an easy repaint I custom made one myself.
TakaraTomy USED to own Tatsunoko, who provided animation for Go and the unfortunately terrible Prime Wars series. They're still a shareholder, so it's possible. Also Time Bokan would be awesome.
Doing the Going Merry or Thousand Sunny from One Piece would take a lot of work but sell out instantly. I want a retooled Blaster with a Bocchi the Rock theme. Make it pink, give it a guitar and the option of turning into a stage (with a partsforming Starry sign) with minifigs of Kessoku Band to put on top.
With a Thousand Sunny Transformer, they could make it a Star Saber-esque toy where you could have the Iron Pirate “Franky Shogun” along with its separate individual components (the Kurosai FR-U IV and the Brachio Tank V) form the head and/or part of the torso while the Sunny (the ship) forms the rest of the body.
5:50 Well, Digimon has toylines with transforming figures. But a bigger series, celebrating their 25th, is YuGiOh. Give me Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon that becomes Seto Kaiba that is so the move he would do. "You, engineer. Make my jet transform or I'll hire someone who will!"
While they would most likely go with the original Yu-Gi-Oh series, I would love to see the 5D's crew turn into their bikes. Especially to see what engineering wackiness they'd come up with for Jack's monowheel.

He's already got a combining robot. And the Straw Hat's ships are as iconic as they are. Heck we had a set of model kits of various cute chopper vehicles that combined into a giant robot. or use Monster Point Chopper.
If you think about it Hasbro has done a transformer that goes from one beast to another in Noble from beast machines, but I think the Gundam runs into the Jetfire situation with Bandai
For Sailor Moon's hair, it would have to be shell from the alt mode. There's a transforming Hatsune Miku that goes from Nendoroid-style chibi doll into a horse/pony, and the twintails are made up of shell that makes up the body of the pony. Have All Might turn into a giant fist. Have Saitama turn into a giant fist.
If they ever do a Dragon Ball x Transformer I think they could make a Vegeta that turns into an Ozaru using the Kindom Optimus Primal mold, mainly because you could keep the shoulders up on both forms. Although I agree that the hair could be a problem.

Hm... Surprised no one brought up Panty & Stocking. There's an entire episode that's dedicated to Transformers and the main characters even get Transformers-inspired designs. Since the guys over at Trigger even managed to work on an offical TF anniversary MV, a collaborative project definitly wouldn't be too far fetched.
With the listings for a new Swindle figure, I would love to see a transforming See Through. And the name for it is right there as well. Sadly it probably won't happen because Panty & Stocking is very much way too crass and vulgar of a show that even Takara may not wanna touch it.

Thought I'd pick Astro Boy to use the Gamer edtion OP mold. 3) Override mold for the Mach 5 and as an extension all the other racers remolded into F-Zero models. 4) Windblade mold into the Swordfish from Cowboy Bebop. 5) Vector Prime mold used for the Outlaw Star. 6) Cheetor mold into the Voltron Lions if you want to do the pilots, or use a new mold for the limbs to a retooled Sky Lynx for a full blown combiner. 7) Mini-con teams retoooled into X, Y, Z robots from Yugi Moto's deck. 8) Predaking mold retooled into Escaflowne 9) Female Autobot racer mold retooled into Revolutionary Girl Utena (a bit a of deeper cut with the naked luge racing) 10) Prime Wheeljack mold retooled in Battle Angel Alita 11) We already have 3 out of 4 celestial beasts common in a number of anime. Byakko the White Tiger (Tigertron), Seiryu the Azure Serpent (Prime Sky Lynx), Suzaku the Vermillion Bird (Airazor repaint), that just leaves Gebbu the Black Tortoise. 12) And you missed the obvious Optimus Primal as Ozaru 13) I'll toss in an extra. Predacon Megatron retooled into Greymon, Transmetal 1 Megatron into Wargreymon.
For Genbu, just retool Turtler/Halfshell/the turtle Seacon, or pretool the Beast Wars turtle mold. For Seiryu, is Crimsonflame, the Asia-exclusive release, not a better basis for a mold? While we're at it, maybe make em a scramble city combiner with the Huanglong as the torso.
The only thing from an anime I want as a Transformer is Cuirassier, Saber's motorcycle in Fate/Zero. I was actually hoping that was what Project Knight was before it turned out to be Knight Rider.
No way, the Swordfish is way skinnier in the wings than the N-1 and has fins instead of chunky engines at the ends. Not to mention the big ball cockpit smack in the middle, and the whole engine cluster sticking past the wings. I'm not saying it's an impossible vehicle mold, but there's no easy retool for it.
Ryo-oki as a Transformer actually would work and is accurate to Tenchi and the character herself. You can treat the little space cabbit form as the robot form and have it turn into her spaceship form. Or! She does have a humanoid form as well that you could use. Personally I want a Gurren Lagann Transformer, especially give that Arc Gurren Lagann and Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann are both colossal space ships that become robots.
i was thinking here of a Saint Seiya crossover as well, not very popular in the US or Canada, but i feel like its a known name at least, a lot of the cloths would make some nice mechanical beast transformers and you can already adapt the characters wearing those cloths into robots, a Pegasus Transformer would be very unique

I thought it was really weird the first anime collaboration was Naruto (unless you count zoids) If we'd do Dragonball I'd like to see a flying saucer somehow turn into Freiza. I would love to see other giant robot anime become transformers, some Gundams are already basic transformers such as the Wing Gundam, imagine if you had the Wing Gundam transform into Starscream's F-15 jet, or had a Leo become Hound's Jeep

While Animated Optimus would work for All Might, i could also see a certain season 7 spoiler working as well especially since a car was involved with it in the show
If a Transformer turn into a Gundam I think it would be something like punch/counterpunch kind of way from gundam to cybertronian and maybe a flight mode
I think the best option for Yu-Gi-Oh would be a triple-changer of the KaibaCorp Blue-Eyes White Dragon Jet that turns into a robot with Seto's head and the actual Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Maybe use Priest Seto details in robot mode so he could have a Millennium Rod accessory that's blast effects compatible.
Well, gray with red on the bottom is pretty standard for any naval vessel. So they were just trying to make Broadside realistic. Though him being called Broadside when he's an aircraft carrier as opposed to a battleship doesn't make much sense. Trunks' time machine is probably the most iconic vehicle from Dragon Ball. There's an easy option. From InuYasha, a figure of Sesshumaru than turns into his dog form would be pretty cool. Coming up with characters and picking alt modes for them isn't so easy. Maybe Saitama turns into a giant fist. 😄
Lazy options: - Ironhide/Ratchet as The Isekai Van. - Nova Prime's robot mode retooled into a Freedom Gundam. Because any version of the Freedom sells. Then they can also use it for a Strike Freedom. And Strike Freedom Spec II. And Mighty Strike Freedom. - Chainsaw Man as one of the recent weaponisers. Just a mad max vehicle with an attachable chainsaw for the head that plugs into the side of the vehicle.
I would love it if they made Transformers out of the Duel Runners from Yugioh 5ds. But if they were to make Yugioh Transformers, you would probably want representations of the iconic monsters such as Blue-Eyes White Dragon or Red-Eyes Black Dragon, and you could feasibly use the Legacy Dragon Megatron mold for either of those. Though I would want them to take it a step further and make a Transformer out of the Blue-Eyes Dragon Jet from the anime. Would be the coolest thing.

I have a few ideas I'd like for anime crossovers. The thousand sunny turning into luffy, a great ape into kid goku(Maybe it has a headmaster that turns into the moon), and all mights car into armored all might. Those would be cool.
One anime that you never talked about it Digimon. You do have vehicles like Locomon and you have the motorcycle in like Beezlebemon or the jet in with Dukemon CM. You have animals both 4 legs and 2 legs

Multiple ships from Gundam are possible, but the White Base is a no brainer. Though the Archangel is another I would like. As for Mobile Suits, it wouldn't be difficult to give already transforming ones paint deco's and new heads of transformers characters. For non-transforming MS units you could do a manual flip around head and maybe invert the other body parts perhaps?
imagine a titan class collaborative that's the 7 dragon balls that transform in to different segments of Shenron and you combine them into a giant shenron figure or maybe figures of the saiyans( Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, etc.) that transform into the the little pod ships (those would probably be deluxe class figures) or figures of Gohan, Vegeta, and young Goku that transform from their standard humanoid forms into the mighty Oozaru (great ape) they could heavily retool and remold Optimus Primal for that or maybe figures of some of the main cast that transform into capsule corp. vehicles for example a figure of Trunks that transforms into the time machine
Imagine a Goku or Vegeta figure that turns into a Great Ape. Could potentially do that with an extensive remold of the POTP Optimal Optimus for that one.
Not only would a Gundam collab be the easiest layup one could imagine, what a lotta people don't seem to know is that Gundam has PLENTY of transforming mobile suits ripe for the picking, the RX-78-2 itself combines with with other suits in the original show, something they yeeted for the movie re-releases because it was silly, but on top of that even just something like the Zeta would be sick, though personally I'd wanna see a Zaku-like Transformer. Also, Dragon Ball's got the great apes too I'm just sayin
Dragon Ball could also use a Great Ape, but I honestly see them going with a vehicle of some kind, maybe Freezas ship, or a Saiyan Pod? Or maybe Trunks’ Time Machine
no matter how unfamiliar you are with modern anime, the lack of One Piece in this video is downright criminal. General Franky is literally a giant transforming robot, but more than that The Thousand Sunny and Going Marry. they could easily be re-shells of each other and most fans would buy both happily.
with gundam it kinda interesting mainly cause of the fact that there are so many different types of mobile suits but also because of the that there are gundams that can and are well know for transforming the two I could think out of my head the zeta and wing I also like to see them make a callobative figure based on those giant stealth bomber jet things that appear in a couple of episodes of evangelion
Out of all the Gundams that pretend to transform, the only one I remember looking like a vehicle worth a damn was the Taurus from Wing. Even that was still just the usual "lie down, do a Z bend with the double knee joint, unfold wings from backpack" but it had enough fairings at the joints and aerodynamic smoothness to the design to actually look like something that might be viable as a flyer without just straight up anti-gravity and ignoring or using a pumpkin seed shaped force field around itself to reduce drag.
The Whitebase is already having a transforming toy under the Diaclone line. I assume it's sold under that line as opposed to Transformers since it'll likely be too expensive, but just pretend that's your Titan Whitebase.
There is a 90's anime that did have an animal mascot. It's even an animal that had a Transformer use it for an alt mode in Beast Wars Neo. And it's even had collabs before. Transforming Pen Pen from Neon Genesis Evangelion. But let's hope it looks better than BW II Break did.
Honestly, there is one DBZ collab figure I would LOVE to see them do. A HEAVY retool (to possibly make him into a triple changer) of Kingdom Cyclonus into Cell. The robot mode would obviously be based on his Perfect form, as it has similar overall proportions. The jet mode would pretty much be the standard jet mode from the original, only with the adjustable wings swept back, making the mode look like a Y from overhead. Then comes the curve ball. Some additional parts to give him a full-on bug mode modeled after his larval state. Might need to have it partsform to make it look somewhat coherent, but eh, what can you do when given such a monumental task?
Yeah, he debuted in 1992, but I wasn't implying that I didn't know that. I was merely suggesting the retool due to the similarities between Cyclonus' robot mode and Perfect Cell's design.
Chimera from Yu-Gi-Oh could be possible with Legacy Silverbolt, or maybe Charizard out of Legacy Transmetal Megatron, Tyrantrum out of 86 Grimlock or WFC BW Megatron
FYI, I don't think Broadside was a reference to Battleship Yamato. It's far more likely that both are based on the fact that most actual ships are painted that way. Most ships have a special coating below the water line that is designed to deter the growth of barnacles. And that coating is usually a brownish red.
I'm as intrigued as you TJ on where they can go with anime collaborations. But I would hope they steer away from modern anime. Stick with the nostalgia stuff: Akira, MSG (Gundam Wing literally already has a transforming mobile suit and a built-in remold), Patlabor, another take on Evangelion, Gatchaman, etc.
Arael/Sahaquiel could be interesting (or the NERV VTOL), and it would be really funny to have a Big Zam transformer. Bakugan, Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh have plenty of good creature designs. And Dann Of Thursday from Gun X Sword is just free, considered the thing transforms into a sword during it's entry/exit sequence.
