#starwars #swtor #sith Master Jedi and Sith Lord Fight Together Against EVIL- Ex Dark Council Member- Darth Ekkage Star Wars The Old Republic Discord - / discord
I find it hilarious how this sith lord comes out and she's all "mwahaha going to take over the galaxy" then gets put back in her cell within 2 minutes without killing/harming anyone. It's almost like you're just covering for the prison guards.
When everything is over: Jedi and Sith are siting in a Cantina, telling the stories of their journeys, while playing Pazaak and enjoying some high quality drinks with a snacks.
I honestly love this friendship, especially the mail that you get that essentially says "Hm, maybe there is a chance for Sith and Jedi to get along. I hope that day comes"
@@sephiroaone-of-nine101 having a friend within the Republic is too valuable, same as the Republic troops that help you with Rathari. It makes diplomacy with the Republic easier which opens more options that may lead to better outcomes. Killing them serves only the Empire Sparing them is good for you Sith puts themselves first not the Empire, therefore true Sith.
@@ra.n9482 The Sith Code doesn’t. But it is inherently selfish in it’s philosophy. Combine that with the Dark Side, which is actively calling for murder, and you have the Sith Order.
@@kingofthings7929 Its more so an issue of inherent flaws in a belief of *true* freedom, and the accumulation of power. Freedom without responsibility is what yields the mighty murder hobo in all his inglorious greatness. The power, or assumption you have the power, to just kill what troubles you is peak freedom and lacks all responsibility. Though, that is just physical power. Our light side leaning sith friend here shows us that you can either get 1 gummy bear now, or half a gummy bear, for 4 days, and having 2 gummy bears is much more favorable when the goal is to have as much gummy bear as you can.
@@efaristi9737 as a Sith I rarely ever got to work with Jedi nor recruit them. There was only one jedi I could recruit but as a Jedi you recruit a bunch of sith
@@GhostWarrior334 the only Jedi you can get as a Sith is Guss and the only Sith you can get as a Jedi is Xalek, no? I'm not counting class-specific characters like Nadia or Ashara. Plus there's Ramos, Hexid, and Star Fortress companions but they are available to both factions.
@@Anetron1 Guess is an ex Jedi Padawan or something, not really a Jedi, the only Jedi you get is one from the Alderan Star fortress. For Sith you get Lana, Xelak, Squid chick. Not counting player companions that return as they don't join unless that class is there, there was no real Jedi major character in the story that fought with you.
@@Anetron1 lmao sorry I'm having my morning coffee and saw I basically wrote what you wrote but storey wise there ls no Jedi companion that company's you just Lana
How I love a humble Light Sith, someone who embraces the ideology of free will and emotion. I like this character because it demonstrates that the embraced emotions, though can be considered selfish in doing so, doesn’t have to be destructive and evil.
@@aidenmiller3832 I wonder if Grey Sith could be a thing, too? The naturally self-centered and passionate Dark Side-leaning teachings of the Sith becoming offset to an equal measure by the choice to use your free will to do morally righteous activities. Jedi are about rigid conduct that can border stagnancy at worst, so replacing that staunch traditionalism with a Sith's openness to changing oneself constantly and evolve as a person could prove a most formidable concoction if ever it was explored....
@@DT-267K I mean if you had those ideal you would jus be a "grey jedi" lol... they're called grey "jedi" but its really jus the term for force users who dont commit to one side of the force... like you could be a sith or jedi and then leave whatever side and be a grey jedi, I wouldn't say that grey jedi is an order or faction jus a term, pretty much what you jus described is a grey jedi lmfaooo
Timms: we need to strike together, I'll come sweeping from above and you- SW: circle from the side and come up from below Timms: um yeah...how did you know? SW: it seemed to be the sensible approach Anakin: that's odd, I felt a strange resistance to my combat techniques
This was one of my favorite missions, and the mail you get from him a while after that describes the shock the jedi council had over the friendly team up is amazing and one of my favorite mails in the game.
@@strategossable1366 Here's the text of the mail you receive from your Jedi "friend": -Master Timmns: -Subject: A Welcome Alliance --- " I have had much to consider since our alliance on Belsavis. Darth Ekkage is one matter, but a Jedi cooperating with Sith is unprecedented." --- " When I told the Jedi Council of our partnership, they chouldn't believe it. For hours they debated, wondering how the Sith who hunter Jaesa Wilsaam could show such restraint. Confusion and prejudice clouds their minds." --- " Your actions gave me hope. Through it may be decades before another Sith and Jedi join hands. I will ensure our alliane serves as an example for all students of the Jedi Academy."
One of my favorite facets of The Old Republic era- Some Sith are more than just genocidal maniacs. Many use the Dark Side but are still reasonable and actual people. I want to see more of that. Imagine seeing a Jedi and Sith working together in war against something akin to a Star Cabal 2.0 or Yuuzhan Vong on the big screen… that would be amazing.
In particular, it could make an awesome reveal, especially if the fact the Sith was indeed a Sith was kept secret. You have these two, already established as allies, and eventually there's a setpiece of 'You cannot defeat me, Jedi'. Cue red saber reveal.
@@cecilsmith2061 With an extra year of thinking about it, I still think it'd be awesome. Disney has on several occasions raised the (very valid) point that the Jedi are flawed. Presenting an actual deconstruction and balanced argument of both sides through their respective practitioners, concluding with the suggestion that they work better in concert rather than being allowed to fall to their respective toxic extremes would be wonderful. Demonstrated of course through an awesome action setpiece where Jedi finesse, subtlety and environmental combat supports and is supported by Sith brute strength, direct force and practical force combat. Even combined techniques - like the Sith using force lightning, which the final boss dodges, the Jedi on the other side absorbs it with Tutaminis and then releases it back.
*Sith enters the room* Movie and animated series Jedi: ‘Sith! Attack! They’re here to kill us!’ *Sith enters the room* SWTOR Jedi: ‘Yo, Sith, what up?’
you know what? Even though his actions are hardly any different to Icy's sith brother, I just can't bring myself to hate him or want his death. He's too pure and wholesome and exudes too many positive vibes. A positive influence on the Empire overall
Light Sith: we’ll defeat you with the power of friendship Bounty Hunter that comes along to help out: And this gun I found. Pulls out slugthrower scattergun
4:12 Always liked this bit with the LS sith warrior. Annoyed Bioware hasnt had this guy show up in Odessen, could have had Timmns and Norman Karr show up on Odessen with LS!Warrior asking for a game of Pazakk or something
Nomen Karr would most likely never want to associate with you even if your SW is 100% pure LS, in part due to his own wounded pride for losing to you, and in part because you "stole" his Padawan (Jaesa) from him....he may even hate you even more if he finds out that Timmns worked with you to prevent Ekkage from escaping, since that would be one more way that you managed to screw over Baras while Karr wasn't able to have any involvement in finally ending Baras, especially after how long he and Baras ahd been at odds with one another. Considering the darkness Karr was hiding, it's unlikely that he would ever get over it or "forgive" you for your actions. Timmns, however would most likely have at least showed up in person to hear you out, but my guess is that Timmns probably died during the 5 years that you spent frozen in carbonite, most likely trying to fight back against the forces of Zakuul, only to ultimately fail and lose his life.
felt it could have been a mission where the sith goes to the jedi temple or republic in an attempt to recruit members for the alliance or something, and all the jedi he spared or parted in good terms join up and you get to talk to them again.
@@Bluesonofman You mean Bengel Morr? Depends on what you do after you defeat him on Tython. If you killed him, he (obviously) won't return since he's dead. If you spared him (regardless of whether you spared him with the LS or DS options), he will reappear on Corellia. If you mean the woman? She shows up under the Emperor's control a bit later on (and you also learn that she was having a forbidden romantic relationship with another Jedi), as the first of the missing mind-controlled Jedi that you encounter, and you can either kill her or spare her (with the added option of exposing her relationship to the Jedi Council for DS points and both Scourge and Kira's disapproval). She also appears again during a later flashpoint, and she's clearly become mentally unstable since the last time you saw her.
I love how he turns his lightsaber on and off a few times as the cutscene begins "Man this thing's so COOL, look I've had it a while but every so-often I have to remind myself that I have an honest-to-Force LIGHTSABER in my hands."
My Sith isnt necessarily dark side, she's just pragmatic, neither too dark or too light. So she did kill her but still parted with the Jedi on good terms. Gotta give it to the Sith Warrior Story Line. It perfectly accomodates roleplay.
I didn't. He promised he access to the computers if I helped him get out of his improvised cell, and he destroyed them while you were the things needed to free him. Him being a FILTHY JEDI was enough to for me to want him dead, but we had a deal, and playing as a sith I took promises VERY seriously (because what's scarier than a sith who can make good on their threats?), so lying or double-crossing me gets you a ticket straight to the grave
I love how she delivers that stereotype villain monologue at 2:49, telling how things will be according to her, only to be told “No! You sit yo’ ass down!” one spanking later! 😂
sad and true. They set up a lot of things in the original story they can easily follow up on even if they need to find new voice actors for these characters. Sadly the whole time skip thing against Zakuul was used to justify them not returning either the result of them being killed off during the time skip in the war against Zakuul or having moved on to other things in life. The Imperial Agent double agent had a lot of potential for this, for example, where they could have brought back the members of SIS and have them join the Alliance if players choose to go the Double Agent ending path for their imperial agent.
I love stuff like this. I have a light side sith Warrior and Inquisitor, and honestly it's so much fun to have the Sith title but act as a saint. It's like A Sheep in Wolf's clothing.
@@georgigs Good willed and charismatic Sith, wise and intelligent Jedi and the student learning from both. Honestly this straight up sounds like the equivalent reshuffle of new Anakin, Obi Wan and Ashoka for the Old Republic.
Ya know I'm surprised Ekkage didn't just straight up murder Melicoste for straight leaving. She seems like the kind to call someone a coward and snuff em out, but she was probably grateful in some capacity he let her out
I can just imagine when the war 'ends' with a short truce at most, and this sith goes on a clandestine tour across the republic to meet and greet all of his many, many friends.
My Sith Warrior was a villian but I made him sort of lawful evil. He respected strength, loyalty and honor and hated cowardice, he wouldn't attack non combatants because it would be a form of cowardice although he would intimidate them. Anyway he worked with the jedi because he acknowledged him as a fellow warrior and let him live because the jedi showed honor.
Probably because the Sith are straight up the villains, along with the Agent and Hunter, that every single storyline on the Imperial side is far more interesting simply because there's more room for nuance. Play every one of them, and every choice you can make has insane potential, simply because there's room for a wider range of responses vs the Republic side, especially the Jedi classes.
I made both of my Sith neutral alignment focused on ruthless pragmatism, and though I eliminated Ekkage I also chose to spare this Jedi. He was a capable ally and had the foresight to focus on the bigger threat. It would have been a waste to kill him, too. Thanks for uploading your own version of events. It took me down memory lane.
Does anyone else feel like when they play through swtor as any of the characters that you end up following the light side more than the dark no matter which class story?
That’s because most of the Dark options are comically EVUL. I did play Smuggler Dark though, because most of theirs are pragmatic and sometimes make sense rather than just “kill for fun lol” like not leaving any witnesses or not letting enemies leave.
Would actually be neat to see a sith and a jedi just casually meeting in a bar and talking about stuff. Like, not killing each other just genuine talk and managing to uphold a decen relationship. A fantasy i know but still.
I find the best, most dramatic conclusion is to argue that she has to die, but then get the Jedi to do it. Or at least that is how I remember it happening...
Idk if it's a good idea or a bad idea to let the other Sith leave without any fight because I think that any followers of Baras and also loyal to him should die. If he were to live, he might do something bad against me. (This is just RP mindset XD)
I think the idea is that the jedi did something to the locks to make release impossible ("I'll fuse the locks so she can never get out.") Although yeah, there's always gonna be a way to get around a system so its riskier than just killing her. On the bright side, if that were to happen, the SW would be far too powerful by then to be stopped by ekkage lmao.
This kind of Sith is what I believe one who had forgiven the Jedi and Republic for their crimes against Sith-kind, and sees how destructive and futile revenge can be would act This is the type of Sith who saw the Great Hyperspace War as a mistake and hopes to redeem Sith-kind through reforming the Empire In short, a pragmatic but cunning Sith, the most dangerous kind
I'm honestly kinda surprised that Timmns doesn't raise the possibility of a LS Sith Warrior leaving the Empire to become a Jedi. Could even lead to an amusing reaction from Jaesa where she might be like: *"Wait, so first I'm a Jedi, then I become the apprentice of a Sith, and now I'm going back to the Jedi? ....I'm very confused."* :P
i used to play a bounty hunter on SWTOR for like a month, i got him to level 30 and ur vids made me want to play him again lmao, jus kinda reminded me. good vids!
I love playing light side Sith. When you parlay with Jedi do keep the peace they're all like, "WTF? I don't understand you." It's so funny & the dialogue is great!
God, I wish Xi'thari was an actual character in Star Wars. Watching a light side Sith warrior Lord is incredibly interesting to watch. Xi'thari is an example to not judge a book by its cover.
The interesting thing is that Light Sith and Dark Jedi would be the right thing to do, as Darth Imperious you actually aid the empire way more than you do as Darth Nox, the Empire's Wrath is the same deal. And it remains true on the opposite side, Dark Jedi, whether Knight or Consular, defying the council strengthens the republic.
I play a mostly Light Side Sith Juggernaut, but I killed Ekkage. If she escaped, she could be an even greater threat than Baras. Parted with Timms as friends though. My Juggernaut likes Timms, but he also views him as something of a fool (a lot of the sass options making fun of him when he gets locked up and needs the Wrath to save him are hilarious)
Playing a light side sith was really fun. I was playing a sort of honorable imperial soldier, bought into all the empire propaganda and stuff who found himself a force sensitive.
I am actually playing a totally LS Sith Warrior making every LS choice....for the first time. I usually play a grey or Dark Side Sith Character. I will say it has been a challenge not the kill the opponents that I usually kill (hey they tried to kill me first, so I usually have no problem with "doing unto others"). When I get to the part with Quinn and with Saresh, I don't know how I am going to be able to click that Light Side Option, or even the "grey" option.
I love Timms so much, very underrated Jedi. Grey Sith and Jedi should not be foes, one of the greatest Sith was Revan, someone who tempered the darkness with light and Sith STILL praised him.
