@@KichaaKichaa Its been four years I was 16 then and used my aunts phone to make this comment this video will always be very special to me as it was the reason my inclination towards hiking started now I'm about to do this same trek so I thought I must see the video again thanks again my brother
@@cyclingmonk913 thank you for such a warm message. I am really glad that my film inspired you to go to the mountains. I am too excited and looking forward to go to ebc and gokyo via chola pass next month. I hope you have a wonderful and safe AC trek. ❤️❤️😊
this is way better than just a vlog-type style video about your hiking adventures. I love learning about new things like the prayer flags. fantastic choice of music, very relaxing. brilliant editing! this should definitely have at least 1.3 mill views. the thumbnail and title are well thought out and make you want to click.
Thank you for the kind words and wonderful wishes. I'm glad my film was captivating and informative to you. I hope i get 1.3 Millon views too so that i can moneytize my channel hahaha
What a great documentary! As someone who just finished the Annapurna circuit track three weeks ago and been researching buddhism ever since, I was expecting a straightforward story about the flags, but you surprised me. Filmmaker to filmmaker - this is great work, my friend! Thank you and I wish you all the best!
Excellent work! I've been binge-watching mountaineering vids for weeks and only stumbled upon this when searching about prayer flags. Loved every moment.
In Tibetan Buddhism these 5 colours of flags represent viz: blue for sky; white for clouds; red for fire; green for plants and finally yellow for soil. Simplest significance which we were taught since school days
Outstandingly beautiful. Love the poetry, holding onto our breaths but having to let go. The glaciers melting and finally becoming free. The astounding sound of silence and hearing your own heart beat. When I heard you say that a rush flowed throughout me. I experienced that exact same moment on Mardi Himal Trek in Nepal when the rest of the gang hiked ahead and I stayed behind to enjoy the view and silence. All I could hear was snow falling from tree branches and this magical moment when a bird flew by and the simple sound of the flap of its wings was like slow motion. One of my favorite videos, thank you. Wonderful film maker and exactly what you strived to do - be different. Keep being unique my friend :)
Mountains are absolutely full of magic in every sense. It feels like more deeper you go into the mountains, better we know ourself. Thank you for taking time and writing these beautiful words of encouragement. Definitely fuels me up :)
Prayer flags is a Tibetan Buddhist phenomenon that is adopted and seen in Tibetan Buddhist areas of influence in parts northern Nepal, Ladakh in India, Mon Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and other places in the himalayan ranges of India, Bhutan and Nepal.
Salute Dai! I respect your thoughts, the way you describe what we are. I watched this while i'm high af, and its like someone letting me know what we have to know. The music and those effects on vocal were awesome. The way you present is awesome as f$$k. Hoping to watch and learn more from you dai. Lots of respect kichaa dai!
Someone on Facebook posted a picture of prayer flags on Mount Everest and dozens of people got all up in arms thinking it was a bunch of garbage. I tried to explain the cultural significance but sadly people are content in their ignorance and refuse to understand
For lots of people they look just for aesthetics and decoration and don't bother to look into the cultural significance of it. Regardless it surely served its purpose, I believe. :) Thank you for your precious comment and recognition of it.
@@KichaaKichaa I’d love to trek through the Himalayas one day and wish people had more appreciation for others culture. Thank you for this amazing video, very well done!
