Shorter than my regular board? My current regular board is meant to be surfed shorter than my regular board which was also meant to be surfed shorter than the board i had before that. I'm now surfing 3'6" boards.
I am wondering if concave decks will make a comeback? Christian Fletcher and stretch have been doing them for years and swear by them. Glad to see you add it to your models!
Great review, thanks, saying its similar to the Gremlin, I have an Astro Pop, how does the Precious differ to the Astro Pop, which I also heard was similar to the Gremlin, thanks 👍😊
looks fun, would love to try one, do you have any distributors on the Big Island have a test model? and what size would you recommend for a 55 yrold, 5' 10" at 175-180 lbs , decent surfer...
Really nice design , Recently had Shoulder surgery and went with the Seaside Baked Twice , went my Height at 6'1' for the floatation and after riding it wish I went smaller . 5'9 probably better or 5'10. Rides great , paddles like a longboard and people trip . He's made a nice board here and great traveler for all waves . There aren't a lot to try before so listen to your shaper on size and weight .
Yes, a round tail would aid top-end handling for sure. we used to make a board called the Nugget that had similar outline and came mostly in Round tail
@@PyzelSurfboardsInternational I'm on a (dying) nugget right now, love that board! How do you think the precious compares to a nugget? I'm thinking to try one after the nuggets dead. Thanks!
I prefer the volume in the middle or middle and a little bit towards the rear. I don't like the gremlin style model with the volume towards the front. I'm not a "top heavy" person, I train legs, so my weight is more on my butt and legs area. And when I pop up, I dont like having to ride on the front of the board. Great concept tho.
@@PyzelSurfboardsInternationalSo is the thickness that you report still the max thickness at the stringer? Or is it the max thickness somewhere out towards the rail? Nice board!
--Online shoppers beware.newbie surfers too-- commenting because I found some major materials faults in a pyzel board and they are not worth buying... After taking apart a snapped pyzel board I found multiple materials reasons to avoid them... What happened was yesterday I found the nose half to a new pyzel short board and while stripping off the fibreglass the whole left side of the foam blank has dislodged on its own from the stringer (which is the wooden bit in the middle of the board). Me thinking that it was odd to see a (blank) disintegration of this proportion I further investigated 🧐and what I also😊 found was very shocking too. What I also found was that the stringer which usually provided strength to boards was instead made of something other than the usually hard rigid ply wood and there was a soft black oil based, (smelt it) material the consistency of paper mashay as a (wood) substitute. Yes you read correctly...a soft paper mashay board strengthener (stringer) made out of something oil based (plastic mashay??). And yes... I recently made a paper mashay pot for a pot-plant so I have an idea of what I am going on. So online shoppers beware of the pyzel boards (blanks) with the black stringers. They are a bit of joke and will not last long. For newbies don't dare pick one up for yourself and tell everyone that you know that I said they are a joke.😊 Boards need to be strong not flexible. Having flexibility is a bit of a new one in the surfboard marketing game and I see through the stringerless (they crease) thing but paper mashay wow maybe hopefully time to look at other ways to feed off of the bottom of the pyramid.😅
I hate to have to be a dick here, but your comments/ideas/theories are complete bullshit. What you are saying doesn't hold up to logic and simple facts--- not a single blank that we use would have anything other than a top quality wood stringer (usually Bass 3 Ply, dyed black) and we would never, ever try to save a few dollars at the expense of the quality that our customers know us for! I actually can't even begin to figure out what kind of material we COULD use to make a board so shitty. You obviously don't have experience with blanks or you would understand how flexible they are without a good stinger and you would know that what you are accusing us of is a joke- JP
