I know a French shaper in the Basque country that made two similar shapes that I considered for my first custom. I like that yours combine both elements of those to make up a good intermediate level board.
Only cuz I asked too, and was told, Gremlin has a bit more rocker, White Tiger is flatter and faster... BTW, Gremlin is my favorite overall, Astropop second, depending on the waves. I am stoked to get my White Tiger and give it a go!
@@orlojones8004 Thanks for your feedback. Since I already have a ghost and mini ghost I figured better get a gremlin as I am more used to the rocker of the ghost family boards.
Hi Jon, I purchased a WT and RT, two incredible boards for the European West Coast. I’d like to know if, and when, you’re thinking of making a similar video for the Power Tiger? Thank you so much Greetings from Europe!!🤙
@@brianfleming1310 it paddles real fast into waves and gets up fast on slower section. I surf East Coast and Costa Rica and it is perfect for 2 - 4 feet. Really fun board and packs great volume for the size, so it moves.
This board is more "fishy" , while a Gremlin is more performance board-ish. If you saw a White Tiger with a swallow tail you would call it a fish. Flatter overall rocker than the Gremlin too
Just bought it, and it’s a really nice shape thank you :) actually the half front is like a performance fish and half back like a groveler. For France it’s perfect, you don’t take it when it’s big and hollow, but for the rest of the time, it’s very nice, fun but with still some performance.
Looks amazing! Would it work as a pin or would that completely change the board? I'm looking for something to get me off my fish when the waves are slightly bigger but still want a fun shape with the wide nose and a ton of volume. Surfing predominantly in New England.
This actually reminds me of this board Todd Proctor shaped about a decade ago (Pyzel’s shape here is more modern and actually has a sharper outline than Todd’s though). Look it up(just for fun) on YT, Todd’s shape was called the Hideoscillous. Bet this White Tiger model is super fun.
Hi there As I’ve only ridden short boards I say to just try and decrease the volume of each board over a period of time would be the best way to transition. Rather than getting frustrated as I just had a long time out of water . Then you will still have fun and I believe the transition would be smoother. This is just my two cents ….
@@louiepillari7796 hey I live in Australia surf at cronulla beach’s where occy surfed in his younger days , can get good but mainly crap banks , short rides , did u buy 1 yet , liter wise it’s good . Still get back to you on the fins and waves .
John for goodness sake will you start making some double-flyer-swallow channel bottoms please? Why are all your boards no hip, no swallow, no channels? You know they work. They work better. We're not all surfing hollow and powerful Ehukai etc every day.
pie zzeellll i love the outline lowentry rocker flatness for speed 5 fin system mine will be 3" thick im 185lb 64yrs old' and i will give this video to my shaper so we can try and duplicate it thankyou so much GOD BLESS
