Kalimpong was originally part of sikkim from 1642 foundation of Sikkim monarch. In 1700 Bhutan invaded it n in 1865 British invaded from Bhutan. It's originally belonged to lepcha. During 1700 to 1865 dukpa bhutias settled before British annexed. Darjeeling had interference of lepcha n limboo n kursyang was dominated by limboo historically before Nepal n Bhutan annexed parts of Sikkim. Beside there r some Magars expelled by tibbetan to present east Nepal for resisting formation of Sikkim a Buddhist monarch in their land shared with lepcha n limboo.
