It really is looking amazing with each new bit being completed. Rather a fan of the “repetitive” videos as it’s both cathartic to watch this beautiful old building be renewed and you also always find a way to make every video interesting. Thanks again for sharing this renovation project with us all!
For me, next to the chapel, the library is the most exciting. I can't wait to see natural light filtering down what will certainly be a very elegant space--a space in which to display rare items like the garden artifacts. I hope some historic pictures of the place in service can be found. I think relatives would be glad to have them showcased in such a thoughtful project.
Watching each video may be a bit repetitive, but it is so rewarding when the changes happen. It allows us to feel a small part. Thank you for bringing us along❣️
Cindi, I like all of the team ... but Simon is very special to me as well. I would love to see an interview with him and find out more about his life and career and what he does when he goes back to the UK.
Billy is the driver of the project and he's currently the only one who seems capable to take it to completion which is his mission, he has had several workers including family members on the project who have added to the Journey and made it more interesting, however as the project may have a further ten years to go things are "most probably" going to change during that time as people's lives change due to expected and unexpected reasons!?!
Get well soon Handsome Simon 💚 💐 really hope you feel a lot better tomorrow. We will super miss you when you’re away - watching and listening you work is always inspiring.
It's only a month and he won't want to get project fatigue, it also increases Yanis's skill set, a big project normally has a turnover of the workforce, the guiding factor is Billy himself to complete the project, he is the driver so hopefully he can see it through!?!
I really enjoy how Billy likes to keep his work areas tidy and clean....one really does work better in that type of environment. Great job Simon and Yannis! We will miss Simon and look forward to his return....always!!
Billy you don’t do anything easy🤩😁 I just want to say your videos help me to get out of my head and the world and just enjoy watching your wonderful video🐥 Thank you for all you do to keep the videos coming I love them👍😎🍦🧁
I can't wait to see the simple beauty that the hallway will be. It will almost be like a room was made just for the chandelier. What a great entrance to a fabulous place with so much history that you all are now a part of. I love this channel. 🧡
Having these areas sealed off for the winter heating will be a relief. These are massive rooms, so finishing them off over the winter will be a pleasure- with heat.
I am so glad that come next Monday you will not be on your own Billy, but will have Yanis to work with you. I imagine it is daunting to be left alone after having so many workers/helpers for so long. I know that in that situation it would be incredibly hard for me to keep up the enthusiasm and sense of accomplishment.
Simon, looking forward to your return. It seems like time passes quickly so best wishes to you and stay safe. Of course I will still watch these hard working characters still on the job. Happy Days to all.
I'm going to miss Simon but understand he's got other work to do. Also, hope his cold doesn't get worse. Yanis is adorable as always. And Billy is a workhorse. Not one to stand idle when there's even something as simple as sweeping to be done.
I wish Simon would be around for your infamous Halloween Blast! I know Simon will be back before we know it, he’s so interested in the convent and all its secrets! Plus he’s gotta lot more to teach Yanis! I love their dynamic!
It was interesting hearing you talk about properly heating the large library space. It got me thinking about the books. I don’t know if you’ve already mentioned this, but have you acquired books yet?
Get well soon Simon, will miss you. I love Yannis hair😄🥰Billy, don’t worry about repetitive work, it’s so nice to watch, you’re looking amazing btw xxx💕💕💕
Tell Simon I watched a guy put the “mud” on the walls with a roller. He then used his trawl to take the extra off. He said it saved time and repetitiveness.
Too me...repetitive just means meditative. The "process" of renovation has a rhythm and a time to it. As we enter the cold and darker months of the year I cannot imagine anything more appropriate than "cracking on" with the guts of this project. Heat will be lovely and make the experience more pleasurable for those still working and it is lovely to be able to walk to the kitchen - is their a refrigerator and espresso maker?
We can "put up" with repetitiveness as long as it achieves overall progress, that's what we are really investing our time in, the milestones (Office complete, Kitchen complete, Hallway nearly complete etc.) and the end goal, whenever "that" may be!?!
Billy, You guys do a lot of sweeping! Have you ever considered getting a Shop Vac? It would pick up so much more of the "dusty" stuff, and take less time.
Hey Simon- stay safe ok ? hate to see you go- come back quick. :D Billy- I love it when you do 2x's the speed- Never seen you move so fast. :D stay safe guys !
