This is the day I was born. At this episode, Barker had been hosting The Price is Right for almost 10 years, and he would continue into my adulthood. Amazing.

I love that the TV ads are left. It brings an awesome feeling and nostalgic feeling and for a moment it brings you back to the good old days, and I literally forget any worries. It's sort of like a therapeutic relaxation tv. It helps out way more that I was not born on the 70's but 80;s I didn't get to enjoy this but which I could.

I was a freshman in college when this show aired. I air conditioning in cars being an option a lot of people couldn’t afford. Now AC is pretty much a standard feature.

When this was aired on CBS daytime, I did not watch this episode because I was at Sutherland Elementary School with Sally Case as teacher and Lynette Larson as coteacher.

Alberta was one of the best contestants they've had. I was rooting for her from the second she made her first bid!

In 2022 that Ugly Mustang $6000 price would be $24,000. Glad she didn’t get. Could get a nice Caddy or Lincoln (when gas was only a cheap $1.35/gal)

I find it weird watching these 80s Price Is Right episodes where 3 strikes is played for a cheap car. From the early 90s, till now, it's been played for nice cars, but seems to get played less, in recent years.

They must have had some cheap (inexpensive) prizes then; $299 was an overbid (here lately, that wouldn't even come close to being one).
