This game is usually winnable by saying either 20 30 40 or 25 35 45 for the three items. In the 70s and 80s, the third prize would be over $50 from time to time, but not in the past two decades or so. SOme of us remember in the 90s a $700 bid on a kid toy guitar in this game , and a $475 bid on a movie video in Spelling Bee(which also uses small prizes between $10-$50, and the player as most people know has to guess the price within $10 high or low to get a card to help them spell CAR).

The first one is the cheapest. 20/30/40. It's never more than 25.
