This is one of the episodes where the producers were attempting to conceal Holly behind props and prizes due to weight gain.

This business with concealing Holly was absolutely ridiculous. Holly was so beautiful and looked better than ever. What an insult it was that she didn't appear until the prize for the second game, which was a car. She was the second model after Janice in seniority. Then for the Hole in One game they have Kathleen in Holly's place. Holly always did the Hole in One game with Janice. Bob was just doing this to spite Holly, all because she wouldn't support him in the sexual harassment lawsuit brought against him by Dian. Such unfair and cruel treatment.

I thought Holly was fired because and only because she gained some weight?? I thought Janice was the one fired because SHE wouldn’t support Bob in the Dian lawsuit.

@@trevorbayers2175 Holly's weight gain was just an excuse Bob used to justify firing her, although he originally claimed that she was let go because the production company was downsizing, and they wanted to go from four models down to three. That was just bogus. He knew that he couldn't fire Holly because she refused to perjure herself, which is basically what he wanted her to do. But that would've been against the law. Janice on the other hand, she and Kathleen were fired because they supported Holly in their depositions in the case against Barker. Anyone who crossed Barker and didn't support him...they were gone. And there were a few staffers on the show who were dismissed as well.

27:02 - oh, a hidden history gem! For those who were around back then (I was in my junior year in college - Joshua Morrow and Heather Tom are about my age)......note the message "due to trial coverage" - we were in the closing days of the O.J. Simpson Trial that ended with the famous acquittal on October 3, 1995.

The 22nd season finale on 6/17/94 was the same day as the Bronco chase though that event happened in the evening, it interrupted a part of game 5 of the NBA finals on NBC

Don't get me wrong I always enjoyed Bob Barker on TPIR and he did an incredible job. But treating Holly like she was Sarah Huckabee Sanders was just plain wrong.

For anyone who has had to deal with weight gain due to medication, God Bless her for standing up for herself! Bob was a mess from 1988 on. Andrew Cuomo probably took lessons.....

Holly was always super gorgeous, weight gain or not. Personally, I like my women with a little more cushion. Honestly, I can’t tell that she gained any weight.

I think Holly was being concealed because the producers knew that very overweight (or obese) models would result in a drop in ratings. I wonder why the producers didn't do the same to Brandi Sherwood-Cochran in 2009, even though her weight gain was due to preganncy with twins? I feel as if fear of ratings may have been a factor in both Holly's and Brandi's instances.

I wonder what would have happened if The Price Is Right embraced and perhaps celebrated Holly’s weight gain… they would changed the way the world sees bigger women for the better… and not for nothing Holly looks amazing here, she always looked fantastic, I miss her

I heard holly hallstrom to say lose weight because of her guidance of the side effect of the medication of hormone menopause and bob Barker fired her to gaining weight.

And furthermore, do you happen to have the September 15--25, 1995, episodes of _The Price Is Right 👉🏻,_ as in an already concealed Holly Hallstrom, as well as the September 28 and October 2, 1995, episodes of the hourlong CBS game 🎱 show 📺 with still a concealed Ms. Hallstrom?

Because Holly Hallstrom had gained weight as a result of her medication, Nathan, that's why. Beginning with the September 14, 1995, episode of _The Price Is Right 👉🏻,_ every accommodation 🏨 was made for Ms. Hallstrom to conceal her weight by standing behind props and prizes before her last episode of the hourlong game 🎯 show 📺, which was October 27 of that year, followed by two ✌️🏻 postponed episodes, which were October 30 (postponed from October 3) and 31 (Halloween 🎃, postponed from October 12).
