This is an episode where TPIR producers were attempting to conceal Holly behind props and prizes and not giving her many prizes to show due to weight gain.
Cindy Margolis is substituting for Gena Lee Nolin who is absent while filming Baywatch.

It was a sad time for TPIR fans, including myself when Holly's run on the show was almost over. But Thank God the show still had Janice and Kathleen & later, Chantel and Nikki!

Yes, it was very sad when we found out that Holly was fired, and that her nearly 19-year run was over. I really missed her for a long time. I couldn't watch the show anymore after that. It just wasn't the same without her.

@@jasoncklose Let alone Janice and Kathleen getting wrongfully dismissed in 2000 and that sent many of us fans over the edge.

@@graigmellon7874 Absolutely! And the irony is that Barker suing Holly and them supporting her is what cost them their jobs. But Holly wasn't a quitter and she was courageous to do what she did...countersuing Barker and losing everything she had. She sacrificed more than anyone could possibly imagine.

@@jasoncklose She did finally win the courtcase for a large settlement. She actually said she had to live in her car for a while. Unbelievable what happened to her.

@@millenniumman75 Yes, it is. I never knew just how bad things got for Holly. I stopped watching TPiR not long after Barker fired her. I hated what he did to her. I missed her so much, and the show just wasn't the same without her. But I lost track of what was going at some point and didn't know much about her ordeal. I can't imagine how much Holly suffered through those years. But I'm so glad she got that settlement. She deserved every penny of it.

In my honest opinion, it was MESSED UP on how Holly was treated in her final weeks/days as a Barker's Beauty and for the life of me, I NEVER understood this silly attempt to hide her "weight gain" whereas she STILL looked the same as she did since she's been ON the show.... If they weren't "hiding her weight", they were purposely squeezing her OUT of the show by giving her VERY LITTLE to do

She wasn't even seen until the third item up for bids? As the "second" model to Janice, by this point, she should have been in the first item up for bids (the catamaran) and the first two prizes of Poker Game. Both were done by Cindy - model #4. I thought it was pretty bad when Queen got the showcase with the swimsuits.

The crazy thing is this isn't even as bad as it got for her...she had 5 appearances this episode but there was one episode I watched on RU-vid from around the same time which she had only 4 appearances and only 2 of them were prizes to be modeled. Such terrible treatment.

I didn't know they were concealing her. There were four models and they seemed have Cindy all over the place. Though Holly wasn't even seen until the third item up for bids? As the "second" model to Janice, by this point, she should have been in the first item up for bids (the catamaran) and the first two prizes of Poker Game. Both were done by Cindy - model #4.

Yeah, it's really telling that they had Kathleen run the Check Out "calculator" as opposed to the usual Holly.

The very last Check-Out with the original display and the .50 range - it would be out of play until next spring.

Check Out returned on the April 3, 1996 show with the range doubled to $1

@@Rewindium I guess so. “Check Out” did came back by Spring 1996 with a new price range of $1 which was doubled than the previous one since it was introduced in 1982 with a $0.50 price range. It was replaced by the classic egg-crate displays like the one you see on tons of game shows.

Holly was not even close to being fat! She had gained some weight due to a prescription medication she was taking for a hormonal imbalance. She gained 14 pounds, but that's hardly noticeable on a woman 5'11" tall! But she gained it in the right places, and she looked beautiful and sexy to me.

My guess for the Price of each of those 5 Grocery Items would have been the following. 1st Item: $2.19 2nd Item: $1.59 3rd Item: $1.19 4th Item: $1.96 5th Item: $2.50

Plus ➕, do you have the October 4, 1995, episode of _The Price Is Right 👉🏻_ with Annette Marroquin---billed 💵 as Annette Quinn---substituting for the absent Gena Lee Nolin who was doing -_-Baywatch ⌚-_- at the time, and an already concealed Holly Hallstrom? That would be awesome 👍🏻. Also, do you happen to have the October 5--31 (Halloween 🎃), 1995, episodes of the hourlong CBS game 🎯 show 📺 including two ✌️🏻 postponed episodes of -_-The Price Is Right 👉🏻---_ one ☝🏻 from October 3, which originally aired 💨 on CBS Daytime October 30 at 11 am Eastern with Cindy Margolis substituting for Ms. Nolin, and one ☝🏻 from October 12, which originally aired 💨 on October 31 (Halloween 🎃) with Ms. Marroquin still substituting for Ms. Nolin?
