Yeah, how dare she respect her children's identity and inner experience. All this respect and love that these children receive is disgusting and abusive. We should go back to when transgender youth would throw themselves in front of a train.

The suicide rate goes way down after gender affirming care. Literally every single study says the same thing, that the rates for suicide and self harm among transgender youth drops after they socially transition and/or take puberty blockers. Puberty blockers are NOT harmful and have been in use for different conditions since the early 80s. A close friend of mine was on them because she started her period at age 5. The benefits outweigh the risks when it comes to giving transgender minors puberty blockers. It prevents the development of unwanted secondary sex characteristics while the child can go to therapy and figure out if they're truly transgender. If it turns out that they AREN'T transgender and had other issues going on, literally all they have to do is stop taking the pills. "In the past" wtf are you even talking about? I'm 34 and there were multiple transgender kids who I went to highschool with and was friends with in the early 2000s. The rates of kids identifying as transgender are only 3% higher than they were back then. The only difference between then and now is that conservatives have made transgender kids the new boogeyman, instead of gay/bi kids. Stop talking about things you clearly know nothing about.

Irreversible? Socially transitioning to the opposite gender and/or taking puberty blockers is not irreversible. Minors legally cannot take hormone replacement therapy or get gender affirming surgeries. Oh, but it's legal for a 16 year old cisgendered girl to get breast implants, which is literally a gender affirming surgery. So in reality, gender affirming care is legal in Indiana, as long as you're cisgendered. The percentage of transgender individuals who end up detransitioning is extremely small. So yeah, not going to happen.

Agree, it is concerning. Possible for the first child, but would think second one is seeking attention from parents.

Considering that there's a strong correlation between being transgender and being autistic or otherwise neurodivergant (which is genetic), it's definitely possible.

@@MissSpaz while what you are saying is likely true, do we know it has anything to do with this situation. Genetics and environmental causes or Genetics alone have so many different gene mutations. There is a vast array making it different for most individuals. There have been great strides in understanding Autism and its causes, but still have much to learn.

​@MissSpaz The correlation should raise alarms, because it's very easy to mold neurodivergent people in the way their brain functions. If you tell a person with autism that the reason they are not socially catching on or feel different from every one else because they are the wrong gender, they will believe it. There are detransitioners who have autism coming forward trying to warn the public of why this is happening. It is like a cult preying on the most vulnerable. At the end of the day, they just have autism. Now they are seeing a significant increase in borderline personality disorder being diagnose with autism. We also cannot ignore the spike of girls wanting to transition as minors. At some point you gotta start raising eyebrows.
