Lifting the pivot is not a travel, putting it down without shooting, passing or dribbling the ball is. So there is a way to do the rip through without travelling and it's not that tough imo.
I haven't been able to play that well after injury because I'm scared that my left hand will break again so I don't finish with the left that often and I can't even dribble with my left it feels weird to dribble with my left the only way I can score now is using the triple threat or post fades so getting those tips is crucial for me until I get comfortable with dribbling the ball with my left

Your jab and pump fake shouldn't be overextended like those guys were doing. You need to stay on balance with your weight still loaded so you don't just give up any space you made by having to reset before you go.. all the coaching there was nice but the examples were pretty poor
