Here’s my opinion on the subject! I completely agree with the not advertising the risks and stuff, and that double clicking is an advantage. Here’s where I disagree though. I think that despite it being an advantage because it’s limited to certain mice, it’s still fine. Here’s why: 1; It doesn’t provide a major improvement or advantage, and its main use is for bridging and looking cool; 2; The argument of advantage can be made about anything, for instance in Rocket league, a controller is easier then a keyboard and mouse, so should we ban controllers? Or when ninja bridging, a mechanical keyboard can be clicked faster then a membrane, thus allowing a faster ninja bridging, should mechanical keyboards be banned? I definitely agree that left mouse button should be capped, but as for right, I personally don’t see any issue with people getting insane clutches or godbridging. As for the whole gate-keeping thing, I can’t really say you’re wrong. But at the same time, that’s just a bridging community. The argument of not having a lot of mice that can double click is kinda meh. If people want to sacrifice their comfort for more cps, that seems fine to me. Everyone has a different list of wants. For instance, you like really light mice that can jitter click well. For me, I prefer a really good drag clicking mouse as it’s a big part of my content. I own both an abedless and model o, so when playing other games I just switch to model o. These are just my opinions on the subject, but lemme know if anyone has other ideas. Oh and a final touching point, if hypixel were to not allow double clicking, it would lose a very large amount of people. Think about it, 300k bedless subs, tons of shotgunraids viewers, and LOADS of channels with 10-50k subs who do insane clutches and bridging.

The most annoying part about double clicking for me as someone who plays competitive bedwars is the annoying meta that is butterflying 20, becoming a brick and winning every fight. This isn't really as much of an issue on practice servers but I feel like it should be enforced better. Other than that I don't really care if you use it for right clicking

Lunar and Minemine often show a message saying that double clicking will get you banned but practically this is not the case. I know people who have been double clicking for quite a long time without getting banned at all. As you said intel servers do not really enforce this rule.

The one point I want to address is that he says that the servers should introduce a cps cap. This won’t be great (in my opinion). There might be a slight chance that they would become like hypixel where RU-vid rank bypasses the anti cheat. And many people would use a future good mouse even if it doesn’t double click because most ppl play other games as well

I see this whole "double clicking fenomena" that has been going around lately as a similar thing that many freestyle sports face as they evolve. In my opinion stating that "the usage of double clicking is an unfair advantage after it can only be done with certain mice" is an invalid argument because the same exact thing applies for example to high refresh rate monitors; playing on 240hz does give you significant advantage against a player who uses 60hz. And actually the advantage you get over a lower refresh rate player is much more noticeable than the advantage 20cps player gets against 10cps player in a real world situation. Going back to the "freestyle sports" argument I made: For example RC drifting (drifting radio-controlled scale-model cars) has evolved a lot since I originally joined that community in 2015. At first everyone was just using 4WD touring race cars with hard slick compound tires to make them slide around, RWD rc drifting wasn't really a thing back then. People realized that making the cars rear-wheel-drive makes them handle more like real cars. Plus it makes the whole thing look way cooler which kind of is the main goal of freestyling. At this point some people started using a component called "gyro" basically its a G-force sensor attached to the car and programmed to steer the front wheels to the direction of motion automatically when the rear end is sliding (If you know something about the physics of real life drifting this makes sense). Usage of these "Gyros" made it much easier to maneuver the car around Plus they handled and looked even more like their real sized counterparts. Many people criticized the Gyro back in the day and stated that using one was "cheating" and "unfair advantage against people who don't have one". Nowadays everyone is using a gyro in their drift rc car and its considered as a required component in competitions. I know that Minecraft is not a real freestyle sport or anything but this double clicking situation does have a lot in common with them. Just wanted to share my point of view on this :) Edit: I would see that if double clicking became bannable on every server and people couldn't do it any more the game it self would lose many of its mechanics because clicking fast just is a big part of the game. Also jitterclicking is really unpractical for many people as it can be close to impossible to do consistatly for some due to for example body shape etc.

I think that it would be great to add a debounce time changer to every mouse with mechanical switches. But The Problem about that goes with The razer mice because their optical switches are built in a way that doesn't allow a debounce time changer

it all starts with the minecraft pvp concept. the fact that clicking fast can be a huge advantage itself is just dumb. it not only makes people buy expensive mice to get an advantage, it makes people with worst conditions have to play with a mouse that sometimes doesn't register clicks. I think, there should be a cps cap, or an "autoclicker" where you hold left click and get, idk, max 10 cps.

I think that if all mice would have the option to decrease debounce time it would be the best solution, since for example as a part of the bridge community i think double clicking is an important possibility for a mouse to have (which is why i used a non gaming mouse before finding out about the model o)

Well I still use my very old gaming mouse and it just double clicks, it's not faulty, it's just that it is old and there were no debounce time back then. I can't and won't buy a new mouse if servers ban double clicking tho

I have a friend who is really getting into pvp and bedwars lately. He just got himself a Glorious mouse for the drag clicking but he'll criticize autoclicking at 10 cps. I'm glad you made this video and I hope it makes an impact because I agree, it's ridiculous that unnaturally high cps should be valued so much. There's a reason I don't care to get into anything 1.8 related.

7:02 i totally agree, I was watching tutorials on how to double click / butterfly click and at the time i had no idea that clicking 20 would get me banned, before i was banned i showed my brother how to double click, we've been banned about 7 times now from both minemen and lunar after the 3rd time we got banned i decided to buy a superlight and stop double clicking but my brother still kept doing it and kept getting banned and because we have the same ip address whenever he gets banned i get ip banned

I hate drag clickers a lot for the reasons: 1: They can get over 30 cps just from dragging with their finger on a mouse. 2: If you ever knock someone out in for example bedwars, they will place blocks so fast that they will survived by landing on the blocks they placed. 3: (Bed wars again) They will most likley rush you, now I personally hate rushers anyway but that's a subject for another time, and they are there probably before I have even started defending the bed.

I agree, but there's some good things about it too. I personally have never learned to jitter click, and don't really plan to because of injuries it can cause. Also, double clicking has made really cool things possible, such as block extensions. Also in the future I'm hoping that mouse companies will sprout up making mice solely designed for Minecraft (especially 1.8 pvp), because there's definitely a market for it.

Hi intel, big fan here, I was looking for exactly what you say in the video, I have a razer viper mini which is very good but it's very fragile, my side button broke and the left click sometimes doesn't work and it just wobbles, so i was looking for a new mouse and i found the hyperx pulsefire haste in your channel, and i was thinking about buying it, but he double click, and i was wondering if it is still a good choice to make since i play fortnite, valorant and other games, and i was worried about this double click issue.

I absolutely agree with these points, especially as a player who can’t drag click. Though this isn’t the reason I agree with your argument. Due to this issue, and not wanting to buy a more expensive mouse solely to double click or drag click, I also find it an unfair advantage to those players who have the ability to click that way while others can’t. Because of this disadvantage, I’ve had to practice to increase my jitter click cps, though a 12cps doesn’t stand too much of a chance compared to drag or double clickers.

To improve in Minecraft pvp I think cps is really important so that’s why people buy double clicking mouses to get a advantage over other players, this is definitely a bad thing but to get better at the game or having a competitive edge this is really the only way

Hi intel, I understand your points and they are all very important to be thinking about for the future of the community. I do want to comment on a few points where a perspective of a dragclick/dub click player may add to this discussion. Firstly, I do agree that it is quite bad that players have to spend ~$USD50 to buy mice that are primarily used for double clicking. There are cheaper alternatives (reddragon mice) but they have mad sensors/build quality. I still dont believe that it is much of a hard barrier to join the community as there are some games that require a high spec computer to run. I'm not saying that having to buy a mouse for cps is not contributing to gatekeeping in the community, but this community wouldn't be one without these mice. You made a point how dragclickers/double clickers would have to buy older mice without new innovations, but companies such as glorious are making mice for drag clicking that are new such as the wireless model o. I also believe that more companies will start to make more mice for double clicking/drag clicking as they realise the demand for these mice. You mentioned you disliked using the low-debounce mice you own which I respect, but many of these mice are enjoyed by others. Some mice such as the bloody mice may be weighty, but this is good for drag clicking as it reduces the amount of mouse jitter while dragging. Also, the high sides of some mice which may feel uncomfortable in a normal grip can be comfortable while claw gripping for long drags. I agree that youtubers should tell their viewers not to left drag click while playing on servers such as hypixel and lunar, but I do not agree that most people dont know about getting banned for high cps. Many servers have warnings about low denounce, and many people purposely drag on servers such as lunar to get banned (totally not me not at all) I really appreciate your view and I hope that our separate communities can work together to find a solution for these issues. Personally I use the gpro superlight and jitter click, so I don’t use double clicking in my style of gameplay, but I don’t feel that people are wrong for using double clicking or feel it needs to be removed, it’s just different and I don’t really mind thay

I personally like double clicking but I know I ordered the model O from glorious coming in on Sunday I think but my whole life I’ve had an office mouse so I really just want an upgrade and all the mouse that I see are just a cheap company that has a mouse for like 20$ bucks that can’t even jitter because when I got it I jittered and the click button BROKE so I just want to get a mouse from a company I can trust that isn’t 100$-150$ (note this is my opinion that doesn’t mean I don’t support people who don’t double/drag click) also nice video keep going!

yes, but isn't ping an advantage? It's hard to do well with high ping if you click slower, this is because hit reg and delayed kb exists, I think clicking slower is a lot easier for low ping players unlike high ping players are more limited in this area which I think is unfair to judge when based down to cps, but also uncontrollable.

I would like to start this comment by raising that your video here does not look at both sides of the story, the thing is, that mice are always changing, some are good for jitter clicking, some are good for drag while some are good for double clicking. The thing is that all of these click styles require skills, I myself can 10cps drag click, 12cps jitter and 15cps butterfly click, all these numbers you see here are due to my own practice or skill and hence all of these clicking methods should be given value and appreciation. It took me months to get good at double clicking, jitter clicking and drag clicking, its not like I bought my mouse and started clicking 15 cps, when I started out I could barely do 9, then it slowly increased to where I am today. One might counter this point by saying that there are a low amount of double clicking mice and all of them are incredibly old and based upon faulty technology. Though in my opinion if one wanted to double click, there are many options, from roccat, to bloody, to glorious, coolermaster and there are many more mice out there. Additionally, you can get a double clicking mouse of pretty much any shape, you could get a coolermaster mm710/mm711 for an ambidextrous claw style or maybe a model d for a more ergonomic shape. Either way, you can get a double clicking mouse of any shape or type, its just about how much research you do, which has not really been done in this video. Additionally, I would like to point out another flaw in your theory, you did make a big mess while saying that double clickers abuse faulty hardware or the specifications of a mouser (eg switches). Though the same could be said for jitter clicking, I have quite a few mice, starting with my razer deathadder, its absolutely amazing for jitter clicking while on the other hand, my Logitech prodigy is not as great, either way, for a good jitter click mouse you do need a certain shape or travel distance for a good jitter click mouse. Yet again, it can be said that jitter clicking also depends on a mouse in a big way. I feel that overall, double clicking, jitter clicking, drag clicking and normal clicking have their own advantages and disadvantages, most popular clicking methods sacrifice needed accuracy for cps while normal clicking boasts good accuracy though lower cps. I myself have played a lot of potpvp and classic duels and I have friends who are just as experienced as me, use normal clicking and beat me, while I myself have years of double/jitter click experience. Either way, one can easily beat a double/jitter clicker with normal clicking and it can be the same the other way around. Overall, it is a stereotype in a sense about double clicking being unfair, just because it uses debounce times. This video also used terms such as "faulty hardware" or maybe "not many double clicking option" and did single out double clicking especially into a spotlight and did not look at the big picture. You yourself are a jitter clicker and maybe it would be appreciated if you invited a double clicker to share his or her opinion on the subject. Maybe invite Cheetah again, he uses all forms of clicking and is very experienced in all of them. (drag, jitter, double and normal clicking). The way you mentioned that it should be banned is a really bad thing to say. Like instead of BANNING a player for double clicking, one could just implement a server side cap or double click prevention like Hypixel, rather than just using banning as an excuse to get people to buy 30 dollar unbans or new Minecraft accounts on servers like lunar etc. Just really badly phrased, I'm kind of disappointed in you right here. I myself have no issues with this whole thing, I broke my double clicking mouse and have hence switched to jitter clicking, I personally prefer it due to the additional stability along with high cps, though I feel a sense of sympathy for double clickers who are getting banned for a reason so stupid and just feel that there has been a bad negative stigma created around double clicking. One of my friends was banned for double clicking, and was forced to spend 30 dollars for an unban on the lunar server, which is just kind of extreme, though he did not want to loose his progress and was forced to make the purchase. Overall, banning double clicking will cause people to loose money they cannot afford to spend again. Another big thing to think about is how you made a video which clearly highlighted double clicking as bad, unfair or immoral to use, while saying for a few shot moments that "this is just my opinion". When you make a RU-vid video, its bound to create influence for the ideas showcased within. Hence maybe you could have weighed out pros and cons or considered some of the points I mentioned above. Overall, by posting this video, you may have created a huge negative opinion towards double clicking, which is not good for people who spent large sums of money on mice which may double click, same thing for a jitter clicker if he or she was concerned here. I would like to mention here that I love your videos, they are always logical, well organized, and a pleasure to watch, I just hope that maybe you are able to talk about this with someone like Cheetah who may have more knowledge about said clicking methods. Overall, to summarize, each clicking method is essentially a skill, the skills themselves are different and entirely unique to each other though the similarity between all of them is that they are skills you can sharpen, or make stronger. Hence all of them should be considered allowable or ok to use. Eventually, double clicking (at least on left click) should be bannable; the amount of cps that you get is a sometimes stupid advantage that can sometimes get people banned. As you said, right click double clicking/drag clicking is not as commonly used competitively, so I think that that's fine. At the very least, it should be something that shouldn't really happen. As you said, again, it was originally a FAULT in older mice; there's no reason that it should be a feature. Let me know your opinions!

As a less competent butterfly clicker, averaging 15-18 CPS, unlike the famous 20cps players, here is my opinion- I thank you for not saying “doubleclicking is basically autoclicking” and “drag clicking is basically autoclicking,” because using your own skill to click fast is different than using a computer program. Second, i personally disagree with your idea that double clicking mouses are uncomfortable, but it’s all personal opinion. I have mained Roccat Kone Pure Ultra for the past year, and it fits my hand very well and is comfortable to play with. Also, it’s a lot harder to drag on left click than right click. In the past, i have dragged 50+ cps on left clicks in bursts on hypixel without getting watchdog around my head or getting banned. Also, the double clicking mouses aren’t that expensive, you can get one for cheaper than a minecraft account- saying that some people can’t afford or won’t afford one is innaccurate and completely wrong- if someone wants to cry about not being able to click more than 10cps, it’s their fault they don’t spend a few dollars on a gaming mouse that clicks well. Finally, I can jitter click 14cps but choose to butterfly even though the KB difference isn’t that big because it’s a lot easier to aim with.

Certain mouse has lighter switch, different shape and even for jitter this can affect the feel. So if you sacrifice some things to double click, other jitter clickers might sacrifice a lot for a mouse with a certain shape or switch feel. Also, I believe you can customize a mouse a little bit, with grips or even changing the switch for people who jitter.

i agree with intel, i see those clicking methods as a disadvantage, i use a razer deathadder essential myself and i keep encounter some people clicking way faster than a usual pvp-er

I can't agree more with the fact that drag clicking is limited to specific mice with terrible specifications, and it's kind of unfair for people with better mice to not even be able to start using their skills to drag click in the first place, this video needs a bit more attention on a lot of servers.

Most people who happen to double click are the same people willing to use vpns to spread out their packets. I am not saying this with an intent to judge or hate on a specific group of people I am just saying things from my personal experience. Also, it’s illogical that you should gain an advantage over someone for buying a specific piece of plastic and tapping on it a certain way.

As someone who drag clicks and butterfly clicks (although not well) I think that a lot of people don't understand that you can't just buy a double clicking mouse and instantly get 500 cps, like drag clicking and butterfly clicking is a skill. Also I don't think drag clicking on hypixel is likely to get you banned as I do that a lot and i haven't been banned or kicked or anything. Most servers that do ban drag clicking have a warning that it can get you banned like lunar or minemen club (which i got myself banned from lol). So I think if someone gets false banned for drag clicking or butterfly clicking on there they're just dumb or they see the warning and ignore it (like me). Also for the problem that many mice dont double click I don't think that's really a big problem like there are plenty of mice that do it, although it does limit your options a bit. I think that mice companies should have an adjustable debounce time thing like with the model o. There are plenty of cheap mice that can double click (though they probably aren't ideal for gaming, but like they work). Also I just want to be able to play the game without having to jitter click cuz it hurts my hand and I don't want to have to resort to normal clicking. But even though i disagree it was still a very well made video :)

In reality double clicking is just clicking in a smart way, you click with force to cause it to physically bounce twice, having low debounce time shouldn’t be considered an advantage, just something that should be implemented in more mice

Ok, so this is a point that i don't see anyone bring up. 20cps is really not necessary, the only gamemode that needs that that high butterfly is bridge(the gamemode). And even jitterclicking works in bridge, SpeedToggled, one of the top bridge players jitters. Also people like cetahh(idk how the hell to spell it) can click like 15 consistently with 10 denounce time. Personally I can get 14 consistently but that is still more than jitterclicking(for most people). Another point is that you don't say people need to have the same specs, you pay more you get a better experience, higher refresh rate monitors increase you're tracking, mouse pads get better glide, keyboard get a better experience, mice that double click can grant a higher cps if, and only if you know how to get that high of a cps, I can't butterfly 20 consistently, and I have the model o for about 8 months and I get 18. The problem that you said that you said that the model o is inedial for YOU doesn't mean that nobody likes the shape, I love it. The facts that logitech and razer are moving on is worrysome but glorius and rocat and bloody are reconsidering that the pvp community is huge. Razer is probably done with boubleclicking but Logitech may not. In conclusion even If you are correct and all mouse companies will move on from double clicking then the old mice will be there, like old speedrun games need specific hardwere to be played at the top level.

I agree with double clicking, my mouse used to double click basically every time by accident. It was great for pvp, but when I tried to place down obby, it double clicked and i placed obby in the wrong place. Also when block-hitting, sometimes I would block twice and it would ruin my timing even though I wasn't that good at it in the first place but I was good enough.

1 thing I never understand is y certain mouses double click like I double click on a classic office mouse (getting 15-18 cps and I’m not good at butterfly)

Although jitterclicking is in my opinion, is the harder clicking method to learn (vs. butterfly) There are also many other benefits in pvp if you jitterclick. Also, if a mouse you are buying is old, it may not feel the best. Newer "endgame" mice will feel at least six-fold better than some 2015 mouse just used to double click.

As someone who mostly butterfly clicks when playing minecraft, this has definitely changed my perspective with drag/double clicking

I rushed and bought a kain 122 awhile back because i thought it was the coolest thing at the time but i 100% agree with you and now im stuck with this mouse. Even when you turn the debounce time back up it keeps double clicking so i have to use my old $10 mouse for shooters and its super annoying because i have to keep up with my wire management. Basically the drag clicking/double clicking community screwed me over

I feel like its really unfair to german servers and overall mlg servers. The entire concept of getting mice that can and cant double click is completely the persons choice.then again some mouse companies cant afford to get newer switches. So uhh yeah there will probably going to be dc mouse and ndc mice.thats my opinion on it.

Usually if u get banned on hypixel for drag clicking u can appeal for unban but in all honestly as a a60/model o user i agree with this video if more mice have adjustable debounce time then it should be better but i dont think they will cuz its exclusive to minecraft overall great video :D!!!! i will continue drag clicking and double clicking but i will not promote it to my friends or nearby people unless they ask

in the clip 5:51 thats not actually hypixel, its a copy of it, as u can see from the info or leader board, those two look nothing like the ones on hypixel, hypixel is also proven to only ban players with high amounts of cps (like 50+) on the left click button and only whilst clicking on an entity for example a player or an npc, you will get banned, but as the clip shows when u get 50+ cps on ur right click button, hypixel wont detect that. not hating or disagreeing with anything u said just wanted to make things clear and ur points r very valid

Any method is fine it’s just about how well you play with every different technique

Hey I like watching these for help. I’ve only been playing bedwars for a month now. I’m not a Steve or Alex noob, I’m not decent but I think I’m good just not pro. Lately I have been doing bad at the game I have no clue why, maybe burn out. Because I’m usually good and can get like two or three beds and kill three people more than once. Just a little proud of that lol. Anyways, I do have a question, when you place a block and you’re ready to bridge, why do you attack or left click that block before going?

i completely respect ur opinion but imo i think the model o is one of the best mouse i used cuz its good for anything. you can make it double, you can disable double clicking on it, and it’s also pretty light weight and a good grip and feels nice. so it’s not only a double clicking mouse it’s a mouse for many other things.

I think i have been butterfly clicking a long time that when i go back to switch to normal clicking i cant aim time blockhits or w tap...

I think that double-clicking is pog, it reduces strain on hands, and has helped a lot of people. HOWEVER, it can provide an unfair advantage, but a minor one and most older mice cant adjust the debounce time. And also a lot of people already double click so adjusting would be unfair for them. And people like intel don't double click, and some are better than people who don't double click. So overall I think double-clicking is fine.

I disagree, because people can buy better monitors/pcs to get an unfair advantage. If everyone thinks that that was to much of an advantage, they would ban it, but it still Is allowed.

I started butterfly clicking before I even knew double clicking was a thing, just because I couldn't jitter without hurting my arm. I bought the Model O because my G502 mouse feet tore. However I am avoiding drag clicking because I don't want to abuse my mouse that much.

To be fair its really an in game advantage because compared to higher refresh rate or a mice with higher pulling rate it doesn’t get your input better it changes it but also just get the mice.

yeah I miss the days before these scummy butterfly clickers came along, cps used to be skill based, now it’s mouse based, it’s even similar to hack clients except you pay for a mouse to give you an unfair advantage instead of a client and it doesn’t require any skill

I think a reason why the model o is still a top mouse is because it has the option to double click but it can be changed. I think the best way to please both Minecraft and other FPS community’s,etc is for company’s to add a feature like glorious adjustable debounce I also do not understand why in Minecraft we take advantage over a bad or faulty mouse

Ngl, I’ve been learning single click (can’t drag cause mouse) gb for a couple months now, and I can get about 16 blocks consistently with shifts every 8 blocks. I can get 30 blocks occasionally, so drag clicking does make it a lot easier than single. However… a lot of great bridgers such as bedless, and cake can single click bridge as well.

Recently I got the Razer Viper as I have a larger hand. I tried out both Butterfly Clicking and Jitter Clicking on it. Although I don't get anything above 15 CPS, but I find Butterfly Clicking less tiring and suits me better.

I had 2 big jumps in how well I did. One was an increase in cps and the other was an fps boost. The fps boost was a bigger advantage than the mouse, but costed way more.

If this unfair, Owning a good PC could be classified as unfair as you will have more FPS than a person playing on a 2010 laptop getting 30. Owning a good Wi-Fi connection could also be unfair as you would have a low ping advantage. So many people will have an advantage over others, no matter what and you can't really control that. I see people complain about double clicking all the time but have never seen someone complain that owning a better PC gives an advantage. Other people can't just buy a whole new PC or router, but you can buy a mouse that double clicks for way cheaper. I have seen some Mice than can double click at the price of $3. So to be completely honest, others will have an advantage no matter what and you can't really do anything about it.

In my opinion, They should just add software for mice and add a debounce feature just like the model o. That way, people can adjust it for certain games.
