Yeah so I meant to upload this video like a week ago but exams are really hard so yeah. The Traveler kinda sucks in this game, which is a real shame since buffing him would be a universal gain for literally every single player. In this video, I talk about why the Traveler is mid and how to make him better.

Like what other's said, dendrotrav is already really good at their role of applying dendro over time off field for bloom based reactions. Alhaithem isn't really used for that Now nahida is just better but he's still really great if you compare him to most 4stars and even some old 5stars.

@@thiagoleonardo2484 Which god? Osial? Ning did that with her house. Andrius? They had a friendly spar in the story that you can repeat as a weekly. Raiden? You lose to her and get outside help from her old bestie just to convince her not to obliterate you. The closest you come is resealing Azhdaha and Morax did most of the heavy lifting for that one.

Just let him mix and match elemental bursts and skills, then make him count as both elements on the team. He'll provide bonuses to the team and have insane utility.

Im srsly hoping they dont mess up pyro traveller , cuz geo and electro travelers arent that good for battle ( maybe electro as battery ig ) , hydro is just bad over all , anemo has it's problems and dendro is the only useful one , if pyro traveler is useless i think we should start to do what the chinese did with zhongli

Geo Traveler is probably the second best after Dendro, what are you on about? For sure now crit rate is not really a concern but it's only for Fontaine units, the only crit rate buffers are Rosaria and Geo Traveler, and they also deal a lot of damage.

@@axelvinicius3365 geo traveler's support utility is bad. 10% cr and bad damage (idk where u got the dmg from) is way less useful than nearly any other support. Geo traveler's best playstyle is as a main dps and he is basically a meme character. Anemo traveler is instantly better than Geo because it can hold VV.

I think I remember a cutscene where the Traveler makes use of multiple elements in the same fight: why can't we do that also? I'd love to see Traveler be able to choose a skill, a burst, an A1, and an A4 from any elements unlocked, or some way to access 2+ elements at once. Would make building a pain, but would let Traveler fill a unique strategic niche and validate the weaker stats (jack of many, master of none).

The main change I would like is they being able to use all weapons. I kinda like jack-of-all-trades characters and I think that given their playstyle is centered on changing elements, changing weapons would be very cool. I know that designing bow and catalyst animations would demand a lot of work but I think this would make people using they more, not only in combat but also in exploration by simply changing the Traveler weapon in the character menu instead of changing your party everytime when you find an exploration feature that demands or suggests a specific weapon like ores suggesting claymores or balloon flowers suggesting bows. Especially in early game since the player haven't many characters by that point. But both won't happen because the Traveler do not generate any revenue for Mihoyo. It will be a shit character for all Genshin Impact, sadly.

As a traveler main myself and have triple crowned every element and built a set of artifacts for each one, ye its a pain I just kinda hope that one of the future elements of the traveler is dps so I can actually have them as a on field main

Love the traveller. I hate how people dunk on Luminee. All of the travellers are actually good, speaking as a Geo trav user myself. Also its pretty much inevitable that we will eventually get the Traveller sword, which might have the "all element dmg as an effect" . Also at first i was upset that each traveller needs to be re leveled, untill i realized it made sense. Afterall it iss a completely new element/power they are getting

I know it wont happen but i really think they should add an artifact set that is obtainable via quest completion that is tailored specifically towards travelers kit that increases overall elemental dmg based off of elemental mastery (as if the traveler is quite literally learning to "master" the elements) and provides some sort of elemental infusion based off of the travelers element, allowing them to perform as an on field infusion dps for each element kinda making them a "master of none" character that they are supposed to be

I like that you went with the realistic approach, Hoyo doesn't buff/nerf characters and if they want to, they just make specific artifacts for them. Maybe the custom furina artifact domain will come with another set for him? Doubt it.

Traveler only exists to force players to spend. His kit was designed to discourage players and make them feel like they have to do pulls and not stay in his kit. I hope he is as strong as in the cutscenes.

Hopefully pyro is where the traveler shines due too the pyro element being mainly focused on attack scaling and hey traveler’s ascension stat is attack so I’m coping really hard.

What? Man, Electro Traveler and Dendro Traveler are pretty good, like really good. Dendro More so, but Electro has been my most reliable omni battery for all elements if I need one. Though yeah, Traveler does feel like a 4 star and not a 5 star.

Dendro Traveler isn't "really good", he is decent, but not very powerful. There are really good dendro units, but those are 5 stars. For him to be really good, he should be able to consistently support your team, yet he is limited in those options. He would only be really good if he was exemplary in something, but currently he is at best a middle tier 4 star

I was really hoping for a healer-hydro traveler since every other element was just elemental support (and electro as a battery) but we got an attempt on a main dps hydro traveler which flopped 💀

I think the way i would change it is actually implement the lore into his kit: With each element you unlock you get extra buffs. Keep the stats as a 4 star at the start, but when unlocking anemo you gain dmg bonus, Er for electro, crit dmg for geo and so on as well as just some base stats. That way the more elements you unlock, the stronger the traveler becomes. Next, allow us to have loadouts for the elements, and allow us to switch in the character screen between elements, rather then having to go to the statues. If, f.e. i want to use Dendro MC, but at the moment i have Anemo MC, i dont want to spend the time to teleport and then 10 minutes to search for decent artifacts. Or even better, make the seperate elemental travelers completely different characters. You already have to level up the talents and co eigher way. Then you could play multible travelers in one party without coop. Because MC is a free character, Hoyo is afraid of making him good, but thats actually the oposite of what they should do. I dont think MC should be Bennet XQ XL level busted, but at least enough to be playable without handycapping yourself.

I think a super easy way to buff traveler without changing his in game mechanics is by giving him his own exclusive 5* sword and Artifact set. Basically both the sword and set will have abilities that work only when the traveler has them equipped. We technically already have two weapons in the game similar to this. The Travelers and Aloys PSN weapons have atk buffs that pnly work when they equip the weapon.

As a traveler main I really wish they'd buff the traveler a little more. I mean, I get that it's for marketing purposes, but still, hope they make atleast 1 element for them which will be broken. Ppl will still get the other characters cuz they're a bunch of simps. xD I'm mainly a traveler main here bcuz lumine is cute and I wanna keep it lore accurate in my head with keeping them on the team.

i have been working on traveler since the beginning, and I found that the best way to build them is physical. Now I am basically f2p, so I only have 2 5 star weapons, but I was lucky to get aquilla favonia, which is amazing on traveler combined with 4 piece gladiator. I love physical build because it allows you to swap element at any time without having to change artifacts. Currently I am using electro for the electro cryo proc, but anemo is also really good when jean is on the team for the anemo resonance. Jean is essential for traveler in my opinion because of her constellation that allows her to increase attack speed of party members. My traveler now does about 5-8k damage every basic attack which I think is pretty decent for a physical character. I am max world level by the way, and the talents are not maxed out. I understand that physical isn't the best damage in the game, and I was genuinely suprised about those stats in the video.

The only way for that to be addressed is if people show dissatisfaction and sales decrease for an extended period of time. Genshin’s banners have been mediocre or bad in terms of earnings in the past 5 months and they noticed given the recent surveys. However, I think that this should keep going for a few more months for them to actually do something and, even then, given how stingy they are, they would probably do the bare minimum.

If u ask me, making the traveller trash is more of a merchandise strategy. I mean, worse MC means u need better alternatives, which means you go to the wish system and try to get the character u need.... and if that doesnt work, for the low price of 100$ that character in this "casual game" can be yours!!! :) Good video btw

I have a close friend who's a dedicated Traveler main. His Hydro Lumine can do some good damage when she needs to. Nothing special, but he's very dedicated to Traveler.

His skill and burst resetting in level is acceptable. I mean it IS a different element, he needs to learn how to use it...... But there is NO excuse for the basic attack needing to be levelled again. He knows how to use a sword, it's literally the same attack pattern. Not to mention he doesn't even get a burst animation which is ridiculous.

Electro Traveler is basically Electro Xingqiu, with a focus on ER and Energy Regen instead of HP and healing. They're a little clunkier, a lot less flashy, and Hydro is a more useful element than Electro, but they are still basically among the top 2 or 3 batteries in the game.

As a Traveler Main.. its sad.. when his Hydro element got released and lacks the QoL like Neuvi has.. The other 4 element has found their niche, Dendro being the most universal, Electro being niche in Hyperbloom and batterying, Geo for DPScreenshot, and Anemo for one of the most underrated early game.. If something like Hydro Traveler continues, i.. i just.. im just gonna be sad..

I think the only reason that we got a ray of sunshine with dendro, because we didn’t have any other characters, so he had to be good. And he is, dmc still holds up. And has a very viable place in the meta. But I feel like they made HMC particularly bad to remind us. That traveler is not supposed to be a good character. So I just have mine permanently locked to dendro and i double crowned him.

I just want an ability to use all elements I have altogether. I don't know how they can make it but I want it! Then no mater how bad those elements are, it's just fun to have a character who has so many different abilities and can use all of them in battle. And trust me, it won't be broken or something that people will stop spending money on other characters and will always take MC in the Abyss. Come on, we know that's not what will happen. Also I want my Aether to have his own sword! I really hope that somewhere in the story we will get his original sword... And I hope it will be better than Mistsplitter that my Aether has now 😭 Hoyo please! Make that sword work only for MC but make it good! It can be something like "a 3* sword on everybody else and a 6* sword for MC". But I doubt that it's gonna happen....... 😢

My guess on pyro traveler will be, a copy paste of Bennetts burst. But without the Atk up buff or healing, and will give pyro infusion similar to C6 Bennett. 26 sec cool down. E skill will give a weak sauce single flame blade slash that travels though enemy's with a 18 sec cool down.

Make it so that holding the Aim button brings up an Element Quickswap wheel (and let you have a different Artifact Set per element. Also, the Hydro Burst should catch onto large enemies and geography, rather than passing through everything unimpeded.

funny my anemo traveler aether along with barbara they just only 2 can defeat many heavy bosses(with a balance artifacts build not meta but they can fight) and gave me 36 stars in abyss(dendro). Building traveler still depends on the players way to play

The thing is that the traveller is the only character you can get everthing for free including constellation wich means that hoyoverse can’t get any money value from him/her. While the other free 4 stars you can’t get the constellation unless you pull on a banner. And Kaeya,Lisa and amber are the hardest character to get constellation out of any character.

These people gave/will give the travelers 7 elements, 7 skill sets, and programmed chunks of the game and gameplay exclusively for obtaining new elements and constellations ( Statues, Oculi, Stella Fortuna in Quests ) and yet we’re supposed to believe that they’re bad so as to incentivize people to pull? Had they truly not wanted people to use these characters, they either wouldn’t be playable at all or be relegated as the only element-less character. Yet they went far beyond. The notion that people don’t pull or pulls less if something free is good was debunked by their own products and even by Dendro Traveler. In my opinion, they simply don’t care about balancing.

@@Twinkle0610 They could have achieved that without making them playable or giving them several elements. Brave Frontier had no playable MC until the Third Arc was released. Plus, let’s not pretend that, even if that is largely true, said units still need a huge amount of investment and cracked supports to be able to do that. And even then, some may not make it. And considering how the Artifact and Grinding System works, it’s not worth the effort.

My traveler is cracked out on the Anemo element and between him and my Neuvilette they do a bunch of damage. You really have to just focus on physical builds for him to make him useful till we can get a decent buff on the twins

my theory is they are making traveler's kit for all the elements bad for now, but when the traveler gains all 7 elements they will unlock abyssal power (or something different) i guess like the one dainsleif uses and that one will be broken

Honestly I wish they went with the dendrotrav approach for every element. Make him genuinely function as a weaker, more bare-bones version of the archeon while still keeping what makes said archeon good. Like, dendrotrav exists to apply off field dendro, nahida exists to apply off field dendro, both can be used interchangeably to an extent. Yes nahida is better but dendrotrav gets the job done for f2p players perfectly fine, and are an integral part of many f2p's team comps. Now compare this approach with anemotrav, if anemotrav pulled enemies into a STATIONARY tornado in front of him rather than yeeting them across the place, he could work as a mini venti. If geotrav created a shield with his skill or even exclusively had shield creation be his whole skill, he can work as a weaker zhongli. If electrotrav had the kind of batterying, burst boosting and off field electro applying ability that raiden had, he'd work in way more comps. If hydro character isn't based on a fringe hypercarry that is neuvillette, making his team comps stat oriented and unable to pull off what neuvillette does since he straight up doesn't have the stats to back it up, make him based on furina and what allows her to potentially fit on any team she wants.

Sometimes i think traveler was ment to be a 4 star that will eventually ascend to be a 5 star where he/she will be able to control all elements and switch elements at by using a elements wheel or something, but ithink this was thought about but probably ignored or not ment to be. But we definitely need a neutral artifacts that for traveler only cause this one we got it not t especially hydro they could make them a better support then electro atleast

The problem lies in Gacha system - every action must make profit! Traveler gets for free = no money = no buff Remember Geo Archon and his Buffs because people pays money for him. We live in Capitalism. No logic needed just make money, bro

Makes no sense because they didn’t follow that logic with Honkai Star Rail’s MC. A good playable MC is good as a marketing tool to attract more people into the game and ease their fears that they’ll have to spend to be able to beat it, leaving spending a choice. The Genshin devs simply don’t care about the player base. Zhongli was buffed purely because of a massive outrage, and, at first, they outright refused to buff him. Dehya is another that want liked but they did zero to buff her. So, it has nothing to do with marketing or sales.

Furthermore, the story is around them, not around Paimon, who acts as the MC’s best friend rather than the MC itself. 2) Wrong. Not only for what I said prior, and the Dehya example ( regardless of being a minority or not ) but because if that was the mindset, they would have directly made them not playable in the first place so that people is yes or yes forced to pull. Not to mention that, if they didn’t want them to be played they would not have wasted time giving them 7 elements and 7 different skill sets and programming part of the game exclusively to them ( Statue of the 7, Stella Fortuna in archon quests, Elemental Oculi ). 3) “Asian” racism ( or should we call it Chinese racism given that dark-skinned Asians exists ) is speculation given that Kaeya is not nearly as bad and Candace at least has her niche. Also, the origins of the Swastika come from India ( a predominantly dark-skinned area ) and it represented the Sun in several Asian religions. The symbol has been in use as back as 3000 BC and it has been seen even in (eastern) Europe in ancient times. In Asian context, it has nothing to do with whatever the German National Socialists did with it.

2 words: Microwave Team Geo trav is really nish bc if you have Albedo and Zhong, they usually are the "Golden Duo", if you really like that specific team, yeah go for it, a well invested Geo Trav can do so much damage you would be surprise Dendro is also a very good version The other versions are veru very bad :(

lol. traveller is the doormat in his own story, he's meant to be a 3 star actually. it's funny how mihoyo unintentionally made dendro traveller a decent util. i used him as dendro applier until i got nahida on both of my accounts. I don't have any hopes that cryo or pyro can get any better for him, because all the strongest characters are from those elements, he'll need to compete with the likes of Bennett diona shenhe and other if he wants to squeeze into the team as a utility shieler buffer or healer, hydro was last chance for him to have any good usability outside dendro, because hydro is such a good element that you migh need it in both abyss teams.

1) Traveler being good doesn’t decrease sales or hampers them, as we could see in Honkai with their MC and with Dendro Traveler ( as Nahida was top 3 highest earning banner ). 2) Mihoyo doesn’t care about balancing in general period. Zhongli needed an impressive amount of outrage just to he addressed and they even refused to buff him at first.

Nahh... i wouldn't get my hopes up on a fire or ice travler. He already is one of the worst char. in the game. The amount of ressources you need to build him in every element are insane. And to make it worse it's like you already said. He is even worse then most of the 4 Stars and you always need specific artefacts for each of his elements if you want to make him shine.

Well, Traveler being the worst in any element is actually "by design". You are not supposed to get the strongest character for free right at the beginning of the game. Otherwise what would be the point in getting any other characters? What his kit is designed to do is fill the specific slot (element) in your team until you get someone who is better (basically anyone). So by design, the Traveler should be even worse then a 4-star!
