Alan Ball junior, a remarkable English midfielder, story portrays the heartbreaking reality of the soccer industry which will leave you speechless. Soccer is often considered one of the richest sports careers an individual can enjoy in this world. But have you ever wondered what happens once they leave the sport? Let’s take a look.
Born on the 12th of May, 1945, in Farnworth, Lancashire, in England, Ball had soccer flowing through his veins. His father, (James) Alan Ball Sr. had been a renowned winger for clubs like Bolton Wanderers and Everton and he was the one who encouraged his son to make his first kick as a schoolboy. Growing up in a household deeply immersed in the sport, Alan inherited a natural talent for football and gathered crucial insights from his father, who was also a mentor for the kid. It was not so long before Alan knew about the strategies, rules, and techniques of the game more than any of his friends.

So sad to hear all this. Bally was a brilliant player, one that I admired very much. I had no idea of the true extent of his struggles in his latter years, but I did know that he had to sell his caps and medals due to financial problems. Sleep well, mate. You were an amazing player and, by all accounts, a true gentleman. This comes from the heart ❤️ from an LFC supporter.

Alan ball was a brilliant player all throughout his career for club and country. As a soton fan he played for us during the twilight of his career and he was still a class act. And during his time as manager he built the team around matt le tissier. He said he knows class when he sees it. R I P BALLY.

I’ve met one his daughters and the way she spoke about him they would never say a bad word about him. This is bollocks … he’s a legend on the south coast and everywhere else he’s played or managed ❤

Playing Saturday morning school football for my school Eccles Grammar School, against Alan Ball's school Farnworth Grammar in 1962/63/64 we both played at inside forward opposite each other; we were both 5'6; and we both had red hair; and we both thought we were Denis Law. After the first game against each other I realized I had met my match - he was a real super star in the making. Later I was to admire him as he won his world cup medal in 1966 playing for England. My peak was playing for Kings College in London from 65-68.

What a load of bollocks. Dodgy pics, random players and an insult to a wonderful player. Who wrote the script? The AI commentary is nonsense too.
@barley4813
@barley4813 15 дней назад
There are hundreds of other similar AI bullocks stories. So far, I think every single of them has some sort of sad, tragic or miserable angle. Not one happy baller amongst all these legendary players, that's just pathetic. Those late heroes had deserved way better than this complete nonsense.

Sure miss those days when football was football. Obviously because the game was played by the players feet, not their g'damn socks.

Some bizarre photo selections with Bobby Charlton, George Cohen and Malcolm MacDonald all being tagged as Alan Ball.

Not sure why a picture of George Cohen appeared at the start when speaking of Ball; tends to make one think that the whole piece is inaccurate.

Exactly what I wondered. Pics of George Cohen in an England shirt appeared sporadically in this video without cause or reason. As a Pompey supporter I often encountered Bally when he passed through the ticket office and he always had the time for a quick chat which he initiated. He genuinely came across as a really nice guy and so down to earth.

@@alana7259 Great player; two memories: '66 World Cup Final where he covered every blade of grass and some + watching him play against Palace at Selhurst for Arsenal where every time Palace equalised he just went into another gear and created another goal ... best player on the pitch by far.

Loads of inaccuracies in this piece including the reference to Ball senior playing for Everton. I can assure you he didn't.
