Forget Messi, forget Ronaldo. The true GOAT of football might just be a man named Kenny Dalglish, and it's time the world knew why.
Kenny Dalglish's journey began in the east end of Glasgow, where he was born into an engineer's family on March 4, 1951. He grew up in Milton, a neighborhood in the north of the city, and then moved to a high-rise near the Rangers stadium in Ibrox when he was 14. Rangers was the team he supported as a kid, and he had no clue that one day in future he would have to play against it.
As a youngster, Kenny started his schooling at Miltonbank Primary School and initially played as a goalkeeper. He later attended High Possil Senior Secondary School, where his talent in football really began to shine. Kenny was a standout in school football competitions, played for the Glasgow Schoolboys team, and even helped them win the Scottish Cup. He was also part of the Scottish schoolboys' team that dominated a major tournament.
