I didn't realize the differece between Darren and Blaine until I saw this. Beautiful.

Darren is really amazing. It's incredible how he transformed in Blaine so quickly. He is fantastic

Not necessarrily. Like Darren said he is very different from Blaine. For instance he curses like a sailor and is generally "rougher" around the edges. and while they share alot of the same qualities Blaine is younger than Darren and has a very soft mentality when he isnt performing. It makes sense that his voice is softer. Personally, I love that Darren goes to that level to distance himself from Blaine. It gives Blaine so much more character.

It's pretty amazing the way he became Blaine...they are so different Darren is goofy and Blaine pretty serious.loved how he transformed from Darren to Blaine and back in front of my eyes pretty amazing.gotta love Darren criss he is deffinetly the coolest and most talented guy I have ever seen!!!

god its actually insane how different they are! like ur really dont notice it that much, especially when darren turns blaine when he's talking but that was crazy; like when he took off the glasses, buttoned his shirt and channeled blaines voice it was insane to see the difference!

Awesome. When he's changing his voice I'm thinking…wow is this his voice? It's so great! :) I love Blaine, I love Darren. :)

I like how Darren "transforms " into Blaine, it kind of reminds me of the technique Christopher Reeves in Superman II when Lois finds out he's Superman. All he does is take off his glasses and straighten his posture, so simple and yet so affective.

Ok, I'm a huge Darren/Blaine stan. But I usually don't see that many differences between the two besides the obvious ones. (Gelled hair and preppier clothes etc.) BUT when he says "Yeah, I can" and then proceeds to become Blaine and raises his voice an octave, I was like "Ahh! It's Blaine!" It was so cool to see that like right in front of me. Darren, I will eternally love you. That is all.

Darren drops his voice an octave when he's "becoming" himself, and also notes the higher voice for his character. I think this speaks to our social perspective of what it means to be a gay man.

I think another part of it has to do with Blaine being a genuinely "good" character with pure intentions. There's never really been a time where he was manipulative in a situation. He's also very oblivious in situations, to the point where it is almost childlike. He's not perfect, but he wears his heart on his sleeve and genuinely believes the best of people. So maybe Darren chose a voice to match that personality?

Now I realise it wasn't on the actual show, it was an extra that is on the website (along with a Chris Colfer interview.) They actually interviewed Dean Geyer on the show. :D

i don't think thats why he did it. 1) they might have told him to do it, and 2) I think Blaines character is suposesed to be a sweet sort of softer character, that came into Kurts life during a horrible time, when he was being bullied by a big "masculine" boy, and Blaine was suposed to be the opposite of all the pain Kurt was feeling. I defintly don't think it was suposed to be a sterotype.
