Been doing this diet for 5 weeks, losts 30lbs and feel 20 years younger. Joint pain gone, skin issues etc. And.. just like Dr says... impossible to binge on this... there comes a point while eating you just don't want anymore.. the food literally stops tasting good. My body feels like it's working as it should... life changer

Telling my N=1 story to help get the message out there: During the extreme lockdown here in the Philippines, January 2021 I was obese type 2 with pre-diabetes and high blood pressure. I was suffering from metabolic syndrome. I understood the comorbidity I had as a 58 year old would greatly affect me if I contracted the Rona. I had to lose fat, reverse hypertension, reverse my NAFLD and reduce my HbA1c. Sitting in my armchair at the beginning of lockdown I saw that the keto/ketovore/carnivore diet claimed it could ‘cure’ my ailments. I watched a bunch of videos and tried to make sense of the linked papers supporting the claims. End result was that it simply made a lot of sense to me. 8 months later, whilst still sitting in my armchair (most of the time). I had lost the 30kg/66lbs of fat that was required to get me down to a ‘normal’ BMI, I GREATLY improved my blood pressure to the point it raised my wife’s eyebrows, she’s a First Responder. My blood sugar was well back in to the ‘normal’ range and I vastly reduced inflammation. I also reversed IBS that had controlled my life for 40 years (I lost jobs because of it), got rid of decades long debilitating heartburn, my Testosterone went up drastically and I stopped snoring … my wife is happy 🤓 I was ‘foggy’ & forgetful, possible early stage MCI, I sometimes also slurred my words and forgot what I was talking about mid sentence, this has completely reversed! Undiagnosed but recognised by my family I got out of a bad case of lockdown depression. A few months ago I further decided to cut out most vegetables from my meat heavy Keto WOE, only adding on occasion a little onion, garlic, green peppers and tomato for some flavour… always salting to taste. Improvements are continuing with a pace with better mental health, blood markers, skin condition etc. Simply eating nutrient dense meat, HEAVY in animal fat, eggs, seafood, salmon … single ingredient real food is all it took … Whilst cutting out processed food, sugar/carbohydrates and seed/‘vegetable’ oils and most dairy. Eat as little as possible that has a label on it! (Mustard, Tabasco, pickles, butter, yoghurt, sour cream) in my case) We THRIVE when eating our evolved, species specific Proper Human Diet along with some intermittent fasting to mimic the way our ancestors survived. I’m sure there are thousands upon thousands of people that have similar anecdotal stories to tell … Please tell them … get the message out there!

just turned 70, trying to quit eating my normal diet is almost imposible becaus i lived off of it my whole life. i am 265 at 5' 10". its easy to quit foods when you are young but when you are 70 you have a lifetime of eating a certain way. i am trying the carnivorous diet, but i end up buying black bread to make sandwiches once a week. and eating pizza every third week. i have a huge stomach. my back is killing me. i can only walk half a block and the pain is unbearable. i need to lose weight now and fast. i am also an alcoholic and i am on the wagon. i pray to god carnivore will help me.

I encourage you to keep at it. When you make a poor dietary choice, move on and get back to carnivore as quickly as possible. There is a detox process and that’s when you want to bite the bullet and peer through. You won’t want to do it twice. That’ll be your encouragement to stay strong. Once the weight starts falling off, you’ll be able to walk a little farther. Also, be sure you have good shoes.

At least for me, I never think of food after my meal and never snack. I have been thinking of going Carnivore but do alot of protein already. I would suggest don't control your portions. You can do this!! I have gone from XL 18/20 to 8/10 petite M. I also have never stepped on a scale through this process. That's just me, though. Keep it up 💪 ❤

I can attest to the variety thing. I enjoy eating the same thing all the time. I find that when I add various other things into my diet I start to crave sweets and eventually eats all the sweets. Lol. So I’ll stick to my small list of food.

Same here. I find that the world of food is like an amusement park, so mentally stimulating--recipes, cooking, food channel, etc, that it simply overstimulates my appetite whether I'm hungry or not. Simplifying my menu and "demoting" eating to a utilitarian activity has helped the psychological side of my overeating immensely. Occasional fasting also helps remind me of what real hunger feels like.

I am not a great liver lover, but I will add a few rashers of smokey bacon to the pan. If you haven't tried liver and bacon together, give it a go. You may find it more palatable. Thanks for all your help.

I am a carnivore but added fruit and ended up gorging on the stuff, until I had a huge portion of fruit one night and had a sugar overdose and woke up like I had a bad hangover not going back to fruit for a while, feel lighter and better without the fruit...only beef, eggs and butter and tallow, twice a day and I'm good to go,im 52 and ripped and tanned as I train outside almost every day,so sun and connecting to the earth via grounding is also part of my routine

I don't usually eat fruit or juice, but I one evening made a mistake of drinking a glass of blackcurrant juice thinking it was unsweetened, it wasn't, but I thought well what is the harm. Woke up with a hangover worse than any alcohol induced one. I probably became much more sensitive to something in the juice after doing carnivore for a while, but it is not a feeling I want to experience again

I am interested in your seasonal fruit eating. For some time I have wondered about only eating fruit and veg in season (preferably organic, locally grown and freshly picked). I have been low carb with lots of meat, fish and dairy. Many people do time restricted eating (one meal a day etc) but season foods are overlooked.

If it works for you, that is awesome. Carnivore is about those with carb addiction, autoimmune, genetic variations, IBS, Crohn's, obesity,.... If you don't have any of those issues, and you feel great with great blood work, and great lifestyle of sun, sex, sleep, nutrition,.... Then have some fruits and vegetables with a meat base.

Sure, but look at how lean Ken is. You gain some leeway when you're that healthy and metabolically flexible. Also--keep in mind that our modern fruits are distant relatives to their natural versions, selectively bred for enormous size, less fiber, and more sugar. Fruit is nature's way of putting on extra body fat for the winter, something we don't need for survival these days.

Thanks Dr. Berry. You have been a wonderful mentor on the keto-ketovore and now carnivore way of eating. I had reflux as well; and our current month on BBBE has completely cleared it up. No night-time acid attacks that go into my lungs!!! May it never return. I love meat; I am a salt person. I miss salads; so I will ketovore at some point, and run some kind of balance to keep inflammation away. Love seeing you and Neisha.

@@darlenecarter7859 After I started the BBBE only diet 27 days ago, I just have not had acid reflux from the first night! I am sure that not having wine with a meal or a cocktail has also helped; but I have taken nothing and I often had to have alka-seltzer at least 4 times a week, no matter what I ate. I am thinking of adding back some kind of veggies next week, but I am sure going to watch and see what might trigger it. I love the BBBE, not tired of good red meat at all. I cook burgers, roasts, steaks, tri-tips, lamb shanks, meatballs and meatloaves made of hamburger and ground lamb. It has worked for both of us.

Fry livers (mid.to.high temp) one side few mins, turn over add crushed garlic, after few minutes has passed and they are more.or less cooked, squeeze lemon, add pomegranate molasses / syrup (approx teaspoon per 200g], leave to sit for few minutes, add a couple table spoons of greek yoghurt

The owner said she didn’t know how to get her dog to lose weight as it only eats one meal a day! The vet said doesn’t it have breakfast? No, the owner said, but I give him milk, he drinks lots of milk, he loves it! 🤦‍♀️

So I know Dr. Barry will not answer questions unless you agree to pay him on Patreon. But I’m interested in a couple items that you guys did not discuss. I’d be interested in knowing what Dr. Barry does as far as intermittent fasting? Or if he limits the hours each day that he eats within. The second thing that I am extremely curious about the people that he is treating that go for carnivore how many of the men start creating a high levels of estrogen and progesterone when they go on a meat only diet?

Unfortunately I ate too much, I eat too fast and eat too much before I notice I’m full. Btw I will be staying carnivore just try to eat slower but keep to how much, I roughly should eat, until I learn to eat to satiety. Ps I’m almost 10 months in now
