@@bwyyc2886 You see. There is some mindset in you because of media propaganda against China in the past. You are not going to disappear as what you read or heard in the media for people who spoke against China. When i'm in China Nico the last thing i want to see is Western food! With all the amazing cuisine everywhere in China, i always scratch my head in bewilderment when i see Chinese persons eating Western food over there lol! Keep the videos of China coming Nico. I cannot wait to get myself over to China and experience this for myself ❤️ 🤗.. I have always been drawn to China. Every country is going to have some bad points, its silly to travel anywhere thinking there are only good points, but I think it's important to experience the country for yourself and keep an open mind.. I personally love the Chinese culture, the people, the food, so China has my heart ♥

narrow minded people cannot understand this simple philosophy: there's no such a perfect thing in the world, people, country, everything has pros and cons. hope your video can educate at least some people to open their mind. last thing, i'm curious to ask you, do you think bread in China is too sweet?🤔 how does it taste in the UK? Chinese people usually think bread is some sort of snacks, people don't really think it's a formal meal, and as you know most Chinese dishes are salty, so Yin and Yang...

For thousands of years, the native Chinese developed a system of Yin-Yan(Tao), a native originated religion which describes every single thing, matter, particle on this planet and in the Universe. Chinese people are aware of that everything has its pros and cons, this mindset can strengthen their endurance. Yin and Yan can mean Pros and Cons, bad and good, - and +, darkness and light. Like the big ban theory, Tao also believes the entire universe is originated from 0 -- nothingness Those who simply view something as good or bad are either too naive, simple-minded, brainwashed or "bad" individuals who serve a certain political purpose, b/c political is all about lie, cheat and steal

Great unbiased video! Keep up with your good work! I spent all my life in UK.I am retired since 2002, I spent totally 3 months a year in China. There are so much to see in China. The sceneries are so different in China. There is always a surprise around the corner. China has worked so hard to stop polutions, Sometimes, Beijing cars are only allow to be on the road on either odd or even days. There are so many electric cars, electric bikes in China. Solar & wind powers everywhere. They planted lots of trees in deserts. They tried to purify their rivers. They produced more wet lands for the wild life. Divert water from the south to the north where required. Good infra-structures, great highway systems & high speed train systems throughout the country. All these happen in the last twenty years. Chinese are not selfish or war-like. Chinese are peace-loving. Chinese like to share & help others when possible, like "one Belt one Road" Project, etc. It is ashame that all these Western Media push out anti-China views!

Yes, your complain about breads is genuine, maybe you can find better ones at ikea, carrefour, walmart's bakeries. I've no idea why these sweet tasting breads suddenly became dominant in the marketplaces since few years ago. Also over-development or over-utilization at natural parks is actually a problem that the government is addressing to. But I'm not sure whether installing a lift on a mountain is really good or bad, because some elderly people who have weak knees and joints will love that. Communication between people is influencing, changing and shaping our society. So, many many years later people on this planet may forget about what cultural shock means.
@Nicofilms
@Nicofilms 4 года назад
Thanks for this comment. I have found a few loafs but it's the treats in bakeries that get me every time, like why is my cheesy garlic bread sweet haha. I totally understand about the lift being more accessible but I guess I just find a lift or an escalator outside odd where as a cable car up the mountain is less invasive. Maybe it's just what I'm used to haha and as someone who has just had an accident I will probably have to use them soon as well haha

Agree with most of these, apart from the Disneyfication criticism. I think it much every country in the world commercialises a lot of their tourist attractions. I'm yet to find anywhere in China that has been particularly spoiled by this. And yeah, Westernised food in China (and elsewhere in Asia) is normally always shocking, particularly their obsession with sweetening bread! But thankfully the food is so good here that I pretty much never crave any "home comforts". I could live off Chongqing food for the rest of my life and not get bored, let alone all the other regional food in China!
@loongsiu4766
@loongsiu4766 4 года назад
well some people like, some people don't. i think more and more young Chinese also don't like disneyfication, it feels not natural enough. but yes, it makes these places accessible to more people, especially welcomed by people who like to travel with their family.
@Nicofilms

Yes I do agree there are many places in the world like this and and it does make it more accessible. I guess for me if I go to visit a beautiful temple in the middles of a serene mountain I don't want there to be KFC and Subway etc. Literally couldn't agree more with the sweet bread!! It's a pet peeve here like Russian roulette every time you try a new breaded product haha. I've not been to Chongqing yet but hopefully soon!

Last November I went to Huangshan (the Yellow Mountain). I climbed all the way from the bottom to the summit, and by the time I arrived at the summit, it was already sunset time and I was exhausted. I spent the night on the summit and next morning when I woke up, my legs were so sore that even walking became a challenge. "Thank god we still have the cablecar" was my thought when I started walking down the stairs towards the cablecar entrance. You can't imagine how devastated I was when I found out the cablecar was put under maintenance starting exactly from that day. I had to walk down the stairs in my crooked footsteps, with no intention to appreciate the beauties surrounding me. That was probably the longest 3 (or 4?) hours of my life. I'm a 30 year old average guy, so I think I can speak for a lot of people in terms of energy or endurance. I do think that these kinds of constructions somewhat ruin the authenticity and even beauty of their surroundings, but I also think without these constructions, a journey might sometimes become difficult or even painful for some people. Anyway, nice video! 👍
@Nicofilms
@Nicofilms 4 года назад
Yeah I agree I can see how they can make them more accessible for people. I actually don't mind a cable car this makes sense to me it is convenient and not that offensive to the area. But I find elevators and escalators outside just a bit weird haha Maybe I'm just more used to cable cars in places. As someone who has just had an accident and can't walk properly I will probably have to use some of these soon even if I do hate them haha 🙈

As a Chinese I agree with your comments on China, but China's culture is not developing independantly. It was deeply influenced by the Buddhism which is from ancient India, and there are always trade contacts with Europe and Mid-Asia and it used to be the center of Asia so both Korea and Japan used chinese characters and learnt chinese culture for more than 1000 years.

Interesting content! speaking of bread...even I lived in Melbourne for about 2 years I still can't accept the taste of bread. Just feel it's a bit...tasteless. Maybe I'm spoiled by the sweet breads in China lol Finally I realize that people in Westerns regard bread as main course but Asians mainly regard bread as dessert probably.

According to my experience passenger planes often delay because of military trainings. Usually when the airforce is training in an area, civil planes have to wait until military planes leave. Some of the lines are usually on time while some others are usually late, the late ones are very likely passing a restricted airspace. (Well that's only part of the reason there are also other reasons like insufficient airfield capacity)

Very well and honestly said. Love your point that the natural or cultural sites should remain original and authentic. I was shocked by the escalators outside and lifts inside Leifeng Pogoda in Hangzhou and really hate those shops that ruin the authenticity of these places. I think our aesthetics should be enhanced.

I think the idea of making places more accessible is a great idea, as my legs and feet aren't all that good, so I wouldn't be able to go to some places without lifts, escalators, etc. Also you need to remember there are those who can't walk at all.
@Nicofilms
@Nicofilms 4 года назад
I think places should be accessible but there are less intrusive ways to do it, like a cable car instead of an escalator. I guess I just find them odd outside maybe because I'm not used to them haha
