I remember when I would work in a kitchen we would blast this album during the morning shift to keep us all very alert and to keep our shit head manager out of our way. This was working music. Literally the battle drum while we fill breakfast/brunch orders. Lots of skilled short order cooks listened to this to keep them ready, willing and prepared to fight.
dude, i literally did the exact same thing at work in the mornings. just pump the speaker to full volume and play act 1 and 2 of the protomen back to back.
Wow, it took me a while to realize the Proto Man took down 4 out of the 6 Robot Masters after that "ATTAAAACK" part. I needed to watch the video 0.25 speed, but it was worth it.
From what I've gathered, He shoots Fire man, I think he throws Bomb man's Dynamite back at him, Shoots Ice man, and straight up Decapitated Cut man. Meanwhile Guts man shook the ground while Elec man charged his Kamehameha or whatever tf that was.
Maybe if you make it number 1 in Ather Raids they will finish Act III... I kid but at the very least they are saying they are making good progress on it.
Words cannot express how much I love this video, and my favorite thing about it is how crudely animated it is. It makes everything much more nightmarish, disturbing and powerful. That scene of Proto Man being mangled in 4:26 in particular gives me the chills every time because of the way it is animated. His legs and head are just separated from the torso. No wires or bolts or even blood, they just... Disjoint. All that while the vocalist screams "We are the dead" in the background. And the use of real life footage throughout the video is also damn unsettling in a way I can't really explain.
They serious need to do a full length rock anime in this style for the entire MegaMan series. There's a loose enough plot to build around like this. You guys are brilliant, icons of a generation presenting a future we may one day be faced with. A.I. is real. The war is coming. ROCK ON!
I wish there was a way to get this video at a higher resolution. Or at the very least get high res art of all of the robot masters. Their designs here are awesome
2:48-3:02 I thought protoman died because of a glitch in his power supply system (assuming he even died. Was he actually killed by Wily's robots or that glitch? OR was this all made up by the protomen?
Indeed they have, the first single from it has also been released, look up Father Of Death, and also look up Breaking Out which they officially released the Demo for
@Nebetsu Try to find the lyrics, and read along, a lot happens that isn't told to you in the song. also, try to keep an open mind until you get to Act 2, because they get A LOT better with that album.
@@WrightOnTarget Yeah I love how gritty and powerful it is. Act 2 is incredible and has stronger individual songs, but I find myself returning to the first album more.
In the year 200X, Dr Wily took over the world after the public shaming of his once friend and business partner Dr Light after the murder of Emily Light. Dr Light was warned as to the horrors of Wily, who armed his robots to control and subjugate humanity. Light had been exile, but returning now, he sends a custom built robot to help humans know that there still is hope, that the Wilybots can be defeated, that their so called utopia supposedly free of scenarios where an innocent woman would get killed by a madman's robot... That it's choking them, oppressing them, making them stagnate as a people in the name of security. But, Proto-Man... failed to win against the robot hordes... He died... Or did he? Dun dun duuuunnn (TL;DR: Megaman games' plot, but with Orwellian overtones.)
Is megaman a tool only following orders? or is it the opposite? so in Megaman X, even when the other robots are all infected by the viruses, megaman is not infected, and he was created by Dr.Light. Why is this? why makes Megaman immune? all robots then become bad and are "infected" but not him? all of the robots around X continually defect; but Megaman never truly does, because he always fights to do "the right thing" it's the opposite in that he's not fighting for any specific organization, he's fighting on behalf of good everywhere. I think that the organization X works for does turn bad, but he never does, think about it. Often times, it's just to protect regular humans and robots.
ryshenton in this universe wily built the robots and protoman was brutally destroyed in an effort to give up light tried destroying his workshop and he accedently made MegaMan
ah yes. Well I haven't listened that closely cuz I haven't bought the music yet and i don't want to continue listening to it for free. I shouldn't criticize, I just have a lot to say I guess.
@@macrocosm2778not quite accidentally but more so, he is a builder at heart and not a destroyer. It's why he felt so sorrowful when his creations went awry. He built Protoman to destroy Wily's armies and couldn't bring himself to destroy his own workshop, creating a second son out of grief instead. Thomas Light is a man of creation, while on the other hand Albert Wily believes in destroying all that opposes him.
@Nebetsu Your really just contradicting yourself, by something isn't good in anyway means it's bad but you say it's not bad so how about making up your mind before you talk down about a song, I'm not saying don't say anything I respect your opinion but make sense and don't sound like an idiot. Also this is just one song out of many, try doing more research an less assumptions.
featuringfranklin Well, the whole idea behind these songs is that you can't just wait for a hero and hope. You have to become the hero you need, you have to put everything on the line for your beliefs, because if you don't then your halfhearted effort of showing only what support you can get away with in a crowd means nothing. You have to stand up on your own, be Joe. Protoman was RIGHT: "why should we save them if they stand for nothing? if they deserve life, let them stand for themselves." The idea isn't "humanity sucks", it's that people need to make a stand for what they believe in, because if enough people chose to be heroes even over their very life there is nothing they could not do. But for that to happen, you can't just wait for others to stand for you, you must stand for yourself.
@@camolotthe42, But he's right, everyone in the USA expects someone else to lead them, hence democracy, if heroes are men that realize they are free we would not need a govt, federal or state. The heroes of today are corrupt capitalists. There are exceptions to every rule but this is prevalent even in rural settings now. This doesn't mean everyone can be a hero, but if truly free men took lead of situations that demand it, it would inspire other people to do the same. The age of heroes is long gone and now illegal. Words and courts aren't enough anymore.
BUT DR WILY IS THE BAD GUY, HE'S BASED ON ALBERT EINSTEIN. Ahhahaha, I guess that's the point, Zero and Protoman were always the good guys. They truly had free-will where as Megaman was just like "wha" I guess we're all the "players" and since we are the observers, "players" we are "megaman" is that why they make the games so hard? because they won't you to stop playing video games? ahahaha. That's the problem though, Dr Wiley is kind of bad, he flies away in a god damn space ship all of the time. He makes creations of perversion in a way. His robots are meant to serve him. It's harder to make good robots. Megaman and Roll were just simple and peaceful household bots, they were never meant to be fighting robots. THE FIGHTING ROBOTS, MEGAMAN, THE FIGHTING ROBOTS.
this is a cool song, cool vid.....but am I the only one who doesn't like how they changed the look of megaman? like protoman looks nothing like he does in the games. I know its a small thing, but I thinks its a respect thing. Just leave the characters and the world looking the same at least.
