To be entirely fair to Carini, I do think she might have been a little dazed from the hit and didn't properly register the shaking of hands. While I haven't watched footage, from what I heard they slipped past her guard, so she got hit square in the face with zero force mitigation (like moving with the hit or deflecting some of the force) which even if you WERENT up against a pro boxer is a NASTY hit. That is absolutely something that could rock your brain inside your skull just enough to make everything kinda fuzzy. And if that is what happened, I have even more respect for Carini, too many fighters would try and keep going after eating what could ABSOLUTELY end up as a serious concussion but she recognised that she absolutely should not and tapped out, that's respectable as hell. And if that is what happened, I'd be surprised if her vision wasn't a blurry mess, so she might not have thought to shake hands and stuff, not to mention the emotional weight that is, while yeah she got to represent her country in the olympic boxing, to go out so early has got to be absolutely heart wrenching. Regardless of Khelifs biology or whatever may or may not exist that isn't the completely normal 3rd grade biology of "woman", I do believe Carini had no malice or apathy. It might have taken a few days for her to even get past the emotional pain she was going through before she could even properly look at what Khelif was dealing with, and I think he statement was very succint, sincere, and should have shut everyone up. She outright states she's not refusing to fight her and would do so again, she just had to pull out of THAT specific fight cos she took hits she absolutely could not keep taking. Overall I don't think Carini deserves any hate or even frustration, nor does Khelif, they both seem like wonderful women who love the sport, it just turns out that Carini wasn't prepared to take an unguarded face hit. And just so we're clear, this isn't even a sex thing. Most male boxers would also tap out after taking completely unmitigated facial hits at full strength. It is not something the human body can deal with and only in MMA will you even remotely see people actually eating them, boxers are trained to block or dodge, never eat. And even in MMA, you don't see many eat full strength ones. They're the hits that usually are the OHKO punches. I'm reminded of Mike Tyson v Reggie Gross at Madison Square Garden, 1986. Mike took plenty of headshots but most were blocked or glancing blows. Yet when he deals a headshot, Reggie hits the floor. The human body just can't take those, and that's basically what Carini ate. The fact she wasn't knocked out by a full force uppercut right into her face and slipping between her guard is honestly kind of impressive in itself.

7:56 - Yes, SRY can get moved to the X chromosome. The most common way for this to happen is a translocation. SRY is towards the end of the Y chromosome, so it's relatively likely to get whoopsied (the standard biological term) like this.
Almost all elite athletes have genetic advantages that range from longer limbs all the way to Phelps who literally gets less fatigued due to a genetic mutation.

So, it really seems to me like Khelif's opponent took one straight to the dome, (which having been sucker punched once or twice, ((Not that she was sucker punched, this is just how I've ended up taking one to the face))) will absolutely rock your shi*. Not seeing that she was supposed to shake hands, having trouble hearing the ref, or just being physically and emotionally discombobulated are _all_ pretty normal after affects to any hit like that that hard. And yes, it is possible for the SRY region (it isn't a single gene, but a set of genes in a region of the SRY) to be transposed to the X chromosome, resulting a a 46XX male.... there are even cases discovered a multi-generational 46XX Males, because some handfull of generations back an entire SRY gene got transposed to the X chromosome, and then that person fathers a child...... all their children will be 46XX irrespective of the sex.

Why did you leave this part out, I wonder. Why not mention it at all, that the boxers themselves don’t dispute the test results? Amputee sprinters have been banned from nondisabled competitions for flipping decades, because sport scientists are not able to come to a conclusion if running blades are providing an unfair advantage against biological legs, or not. Compared to this, we already have a pretty good understanding how testosterone in a female body can be a powerful performance enhancing substance, and there are established rules for the allowed levels. Someone with a disorder that makes them ineligible to compete in the women’s category most probably went through puberty with a much higher level of testosterone than other girls, and maintained an abnormal level ever since, affecting their physical development; and boxing is one of the sports where the male physique has one of the most prominent advantages over females. Muscle and bone density, lung capacity, larger heart and so on, these are pretty much deciding factors in a boxing match. It can’t be reduced to a superficial statement of “who hits harder”. And the fact that Khelif and Lin did not win every time in the past? Yes, of course, even people on performance enhancing drugs can be beaten on occasion, since other aspects like their momentary lack of focus and their level of preparation for the competition also plays a part. Doesn’t mean doping is fair and should be allowed, does it?

Yeah, I've heavily criticized Ron DeSantis, I talked about Trump in my recent video about the ass. attempt, and as a Democrat I criticize Biden because he's supposed to be doing the stuff I voted for him to do.
