@@ThePunggolHandyMan @ThePunggolHandyMan Nope. The gunk you had to clear, made me 🤔 think: he's there to repair a leak, he shouldn't have to deal with clogs... Unless you already charge for it in your standard rate. By the way, is it safe to use caustic soda with modern pipes?
Well in my experience all pipes have debris to a certain extent and this was a scheduled appointment not a emergency call. So no I did not charge for the clearing as I actually did not need to go out of my way to clear it. Yea and I usually flush the whole system with a bucket of water before i begin work. Err hygine
Silicone is a sealant and yes it will prevent water from going in into spaces you don’t want water to go in. Now that’s not going to really stop the sink from being loose it will keep it in place for a bit but the sink will come loose again because is not glued into the counter top also I believe the opening they made for the sink is kind of big and you have space for the sink to move from side to side.
Silicone can be an insanely strong glue. I bought an old van with a heavy old solar panel that was just held on with silicone. It was a huge ordeal to remove because it was so well glued down.
