The third part of the Epic Cornish Romance of Tristan and Isolde, which I have called "The pursuit of Tristan and Iseult"
The first part, "The Morholt out of Ireland" which I told on this channel over a year ago, can be found here:
• The Morholt out of Ire...
Tristan and Iseult (or Tristram and Isolde) is a medieval chivalric romance of a similar courtly tradition of the legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the round table.
Like those stories, the story of Tristan and Isolde comes in many versions and is most likely based on earlier Celtic folklore in the oral storytelling tradition. It features love potions, battles with giants and dragons, Irish magic, pirates and witches and a tragic end.
The tale has parallels in the Welsh Mabinogion as well as the Irish myth in the Finn cycle, 'the pursuit of Diarmuid and Grania'.
It also has parallels with Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet as well as Pyramus and Thisbe.
It comes in many versions, by Thomas of Britain and Joseph Béroul in the 13th Century, to Richard Wagner's opera, to a great version by storyteller Martin Shaw, which I borrow from a little here.

You could just as easily be called the medicine crow because your stories take me out of my stressed and anxious state, and they take me to another world, and soothe me and calm my body, mind and spirit. I can't afford to donate anything yet but I will when I can because your stories are worth their weight in gold. Also I'm really grateful for the fact that your beautifully told tales take me out of the dominant, logical left hemisphere and into the imaginative creative part of my brain, which hasn't been stimulated by storytelling since I was a child... and that in itself is very healing ❤

Absolutely love your videos. Such a natural story teller like it was something you born to do. In days gone past it would of been done around a campfire in front of dozens of people. In the 21st century it’s done on RU-vid in the homes of thousands. Please never stop making these videos they’re amazing

Ahh, thank you for the kind words. Round the fire is better, that’s for sure, but the hearth of RU-vid has more wings, it must be said ✨

Lots of shagging and shenanigans for a courtly, chivalrous, medieval, early Celtic myth/Bronze age era fairytale, lol. Reminds me of the Tristan stone near St Austell. Thank you, very interesting. Always a pleasure.

How the actual fornication is your channel this slept on? I have come to understand the hyperbole of folk tales and how it can translate into being. As always thank you for the content! P.S: its really cool that your last/family name translates to storyteller and ever that be true!

So interesting with the bronze age reference at the end. Iseult reminds me a bit of the norse goddess Freya as well. She too has the golden hair, takes form as a bird of prey (falcon), and is connected with the sun. Maybe some shared ancient sun worship connections there perhaps? Fun to think about 🌞✨️
