I like to think that Aleksandr Pushkin is alive and well in another realm acting as a muse to some current writer of ghost stories - someone not unlike yourself! Such a sad ending for him, and so young! Anyway, liked this story and your closing remarks so much, had to revisit it! Many thanks for all your hard work! You’re amazing!

Yes, I love a ghost story in which the ghost comes for revenge -- especially when the ghost is an old lady, as I am in the minds of some! Perfect reading and extremely interesting closing comments!

This story is not only a work of art in itself but has inspired other artists. It was adapted into an opera (known as 'Pique Dame') by Tchaikovsky in 1890. And it was made into a terrific movie in 1949, directed by Thorold Dickinson and starring Anton Walbrook as the officer and Edith Evans as the Countess. It's faithful to the story and I highly recommend it - good, spooky watching on a cold winter night!

Your narration made me search Elexandra Puskin. The images of him portrayed in portraits and banquets match the aristocratic lifestyle settings of his novel. I also love the images that you choose for the videos of novels that you narrate. They compliment the mood of the stories very well. In this one the rembrandt lighting technique exoresses the dark mood of the novel very well by creating a diamond shape under one eye of the darker side of the gypsy looking girls face. On another note maybe you can experiment with different microphones to express different moods. Finally coffee is good accorfing to my doctor as long as we grind the coffee beans ourselves because they contain antioxident chemicals that keep our cells healthy. So enjoy your coffee Tony. If it interferes with your sleep then drink no later than 4pm. However i drink after this time and i have no major problems.

I wonder if come-uppance stories are satisfying and popular - especially those that utilize the supernatural as the agent of justice - due to our belief that there may not be any true justice in the "real" world. Aside from belief in heavenly judgement, if one feels that humans most often get away with things they aught not to, it is a comfort to imagine supernatural intervention.

The Queen of Spades or Swords represents herself differently to each person. I often use her for a self card or , if she comes in a self reading, I know that I am the one who has to drive the outcome.

After listening to your interview today of the man who wrote the men in the snow, I was wondering is it always required to have creative writing or training in general in order to become a writer? I would like to write spiritual material which is channeled (don’t laugh! Okay laugh! I don’t mind) but there is such a lack of spiritual fiction! Except for the Celestine Prophecy which is fortunately free on RU-vid now, it’s quite rare! This question goes out to anybody who knows! If somebody can recommend me something to listen to on RU-vid I would be most grateful! Anything good even from this channel, (still a newbe) many thanks and blessings!☯️

@@ClassicGhost That’s explains the attraction to ghost stories! Unless you’re a sceptic! LOL! I’ve been in relationships Where my boyfriends were sceptics, and it was awkward because they clearly thought I was insane, having hallucinations and they didn’t believe in ghosts! It’s a flawed premise though to believe that you need to have the same belief system in order to get on with somebody!
