@@darwin9098 "Congratulation on giving a review for a stolen item (Kohinoor diamond)' Get off your high horse, the diamond featured in this video is the Cullinan II.
@@darwin9098 The Crown The Queen is looking at is the Imperial State Crown, the one she wears for the State Opening of Parliament, and does not have the Kohinoor diamond set in it. The Kohinoor is set in the Queen Mother's Crown, which is worn by Queen Consorts and not Queen Regnants (the reigning Queen), which is what Elizabeth II is.
Wrong. The one in the video is from Africa. The kohinoor is in the tower and is not set in any crown. It used to be used in the crowns of the consorts to the monarch, but not anymore.
may be thinking about how many millions of people are tortured, looted and killed to grab this wealth from the rest of the world and shamelessly keep that on a head.
The crown is just junk. The diamond on it is Priceless and when that pork belly elizabeth wears it, that becomes a clear example that Uk is the biggest thief /beggar of this earth.
@@liubovpiano9573 you mean almost more than 200 years of slavery of British monarchy ruling of all those countries and the people in it? .. yes that crown costs more than just one life.
I remember when I first saw this interview some years back. I loved how she says "there are some disadvantages to Crowns but otherwise they are quite important things" with an ever increasing radiant smile. It is a beautiful moment because through her one feels that for her it is not the thousands of jewels or value but the meaning, symbolism and history that is important. 💖💔
I agree, she always cared about tradition, I've never felt any materialism from her. Extraordinary Queen, I only wish Prince William was her successor insted of her spoiled brat son.
@@Thefire591 The diamond(s) were a gift. Who else would even have today? They’d been stolen time and time again. The British Crown is magnificent and safe for always. “Once a gift is given, it is no longer yours”. This pertains to all gifts we give and to those who receive.
I know, so much history, the kidnapping of an Indian prince, the 'great' British empire, the integrity of the monarchy, oh and of course the stealing of the money from the people and the jewl of the people.... History yes, pleasentries no
Clark Kent firstly you might want to look up the word history in the dictionary and then you should be able to find the history that concludes it was mined in 'old india' and belonged to the people, and you should also find the 3 words British monarch and thief's quite close to each other, lots of love, a knowledgeable pigeon xxx
Michael John Dennis The same. I live in the United States and I really appreciate the symbol of the queen and what she represents to her respective nation. I hope she continues to reign in full capacity as the monarch of the UK.
She was always very mindful of the impression she would make for anything she ever said or did, but she had a great combination of decorum, kindness, and gentle humor, combined with a very deep awareness of her status and responsibilities. People expected a great deal of her as the ruling Queen, and she delivered an always impressive performance.
I’ve never heard the queen speak before, so this is my first time hearing her voice. She seemed quite relaxed and kind during the interview and seemed pretty open to the questions. Seems like a nice person from what I can tell!
I actually hope that whenever the UK crown their new King/Queen, they still have that ancient ceremony. I mean, some traditions are weird and even destructive to modern society, but some are definitely still worth practicing.
I agree and even if they don't do it the same way for the next coronation, hopefully there will be, someday in the future, at least something of a reenactment so that people could see and feel what it was like back in the day. Hopefully we get to see something grand like how it was for William and Kate's royal wedding.
*The main diamond in the Imperial State crown is NOT the Kohinoor. It's the Cullinan 2 diamond, part of a larger diamond found in a SOUTH AFRICAN mine. It remained unsold and was bought by the South African government and presented as a gift to Edward VII on his 66th birthday in 1907. The rest of the gems date to CENTURIES before England had an empire.*
@@DonS-ff2yt It is in another crown, the Crown of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. There are many crowns in the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom. The one that @golden63 is talking about is the Imperial State Crown, which is the one worn mostly by the monarch, if they want to wear the crown, and is used for the annual opening of the parliament.
Sweet grandmother, we will miss your smile. You will be forever in our hearts our dear Queen Elizabeth.👑 we are sending our heartfelt sympathy from Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

Fellow Indians please try to understand, India was a British colony then! They were the government. Queen Victoria was head of state including India. Kohinoor was not stolen. It was presented, those were different times. Present queen inherited this and they keep it with great respect. It always makes me feel good when she delivers speech in Westminster with that crown on that had some Indian element to it. So please chill its well kept.
The stones in the crown are spectacular. And I had no idea there was a Sovereign's ring. I hope someone uploads the documentary so we who are outside the UK can see it.
I love hearing about the history and realities of the monarch. There is so much tradition behind every little detail. Its quite interesting to learn about it all.
It is actually pretty amazing to think that in the 1000 year history of the monarchy this is the first time you’ve ever heard an actual monarch talk about the Crown Jewels. It would have been equally interesting to hear what George IV or Charles II would have had to say on the same topic.
Crown aside the Queen seems like a lovely, elegant, and very proper person. Even seeing her on television she commands undivided attention and respect. I could even imagine what it would be like to just sit and chat with her. The stories she could tell and share must really be something.
Nothing of own😂😂 Everything is looted 😂 Greatest thiefs of all time😂😂 Wear thing of stolen as pride Oh god we are poor But happy that we never looted and became rich We worked hard to be rich Not like your country 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕
There isnt any innocent history out there. So it is a waste to focus on negative past. Nor is it the responsibility of future generations to pay anything back. Germany focused so much on its negative past that they forgot the rest of their history and identity.
@@Garother do you not understand, imagine your country being stripped of it's wealth and everything it had stolen away from them, something that were so precious to some countries, they looted. Of course people are going to be mad, there are somethings that are just unforgettable. the Nazis aren't here now to apologise nor is Hitler however they have the gems which belong to certain countries that have longed to have them back for decades and decades, they have the ability to restore what's rightful to who but still they decide not to do it, ridiculous
@@stanwinx1144 India was not stripped of its wealth. Its percentage in world GDP fell because Europe went thru the industrial revolution. The UK trebled Indias population through the introduction of sanitation and better healthcare and education.

After watching the video and hearing Her Majesty’s comments about the crown and how uncomfortable it was to wear, it looks like she’s having a PTSD flashback when she sees it at 0:38 lol
No. The Kohinoor is not in the crown. The large diamond is the Cullinan 2 diamond, part of a larger diamond purchased by the government of South Africa and given to Edward the VII in 1907.
Not even the smallest small diamond will be yours it's that which make England what it is , I think the gold one should return to the gold coast to develop the place other wise the fall of the empire is eminent

After 100s yrs gap of her ruling, From the part of her land only famous Kohinoor diamond was theft by some body and reached the British due to their divide n rule policy...Jai Hind.
These jewels were a gift to Her Majesty Queen and Empress Victoria from her grateful subjects in India and South Africa. They wanted Her Majesty to have them.
It was a gift from Ranjit Singh to the British for help with the Sikh wars. The Government of India has publicly acknowledged this. What would they do with it, anyway? Use it to fund more rape of women & girls? Buying more child brides? Purchasing acid for maiming & killing more women because of inadequate dowries? I think India & Pakistan have a few other issues to which they should attend before they worry about an inanimate object which was freely given as payment for services rendered.

Kamila Szopa What queen Elizabeth I did in her reign isn't a quarter as bad as what her sister Mary or her father did in there reigns. Her father's reign was like a sad romantic story! Her sister's reign was about killing anyone that wasn't Catholic! She killed so many people by being burned at the stake (including children) that the streets of London smelled of burning human flesh for a MONTH! She also killed lady Jane grey because she jealous that people wanted her to be queen instead!! Elizabeth didn't want Mary Stuart to be executed! It was a order from one of her advisors that Mary should be executed. When Elizabeth found out that Mary was executed she was so devastated That she CRIED! Elizabeth didn't start the first slave trade...So that's a lie. And who cares if she barely showered (which I doubt). That's her personal life. What matters is what she put out as a Ruler. She also led a army against a Spanish king and won! She brought England into its golden age! She also had to clean up the mess that her father and sister left behind! Over all you two are brainwashed Hypocrites with a bunch of false facts. Now I will gladly say BYE. Edit: The Portuguese started the African slave trade and Britain wasn't involved in it until 1640 which was WAYYY after queen Elizabeth 1 died. So please check your facts.

She used to have difficulty keeping the crown on and reading her shopping list at Tesco. One time it fell in someone else's trolley. That customer had a difficult time coming up with enough money to pay for it at the register.
American here with paternal roots from Scotland in 1773. She was proclaimed Queen in February of 1952. I have studied her life and find her a fascinating woman with an extraordinary life's dedication to her royal position, her nation and her people. Although she's a petite woman, her presence, even at her age, commands respect and admiration. When the nazis had occupied Guernsey, she and her family stood their ground on British Soil, never fleeing in fear to America. God bless and keep her and her family! These so-called "feminists" today are whiney little losers not worthy of paying attention to. Her Royal Majesty, Elizabeth Regina will be remembered as one the greatest of Queens! Her dedication to duty in these times has NO equal.
She was a brilliant Leader who comported herself with grace and dignity though at times her wit and laughter broke through and that’s when I loved her most. I will miss Her Majesty. 🌹
I love her royal majesty and I’m American lol. She seems like a really sweet person and has an amazing sense of style. So many colors. She also has one of the most difficult jobs as Queen. I get she is a figure head and the power is in Parliament, but she still has a massive amount of power and she looks over her people.
Much of her power is influence. She has some real power but is blocked (she has it but can’t use it). Her job is more likely to assure that the government (that is in her name) works. She signs every Law (everything is done with her power) and represents the country (diplomacy). Also, the royal family does a lot charity and social labour. And tourism. Some critics talk about how much they cost (salary and the cost of official duties), but they get into the country Millions in the form of tourism, an example is a royal wedding, when is televised, it can have more viewers than Eurovision (just the 2019 edition in tel aviv had around 180 million viewers). I Remember the wedding of Prince William…, here un Mexico was around 3 am and yet, people waited for it. She also represents: unity and nationalism.
Fan of Queen Elizabeth England/New England /GreatBrittain(UN) /Rome/Italy /Dutch/and other places of commonwealth that worship those animals along with their sister the World Bank(and family members ) , can suck the worlds dick for what they have done and are doing.
