When you play a whole game calculating tactics against an "undefended" queen that is, in fact, fully protected the whole time. Trial by fire in 1.d4 with another unconventional line, the Budapest Gambit. Sorry for saying the queen was undefended about 1000X in this video, even in the analysis I didn't catch it. Unreal.
In this video I play the white pieces and open 1.d4, facing the Budapest Gambit against a 1530 rated player on chess.com. Stick around for the analysis after the game and as always your comments and analysis are welcome!

Hoping to catch a stream one of these days and maybe give you a game, we’re around the same rating. Not sure if you’d mentioned it - had to cut watching the analysis short, but another reason your queen tactic fails is due to the placement of the knight on e4. When you give check on f6 with the discovered attack on the queen, the black knight can step back and capture the knight on f6 while simultaneously protecting the queen, so the bishop didn’t necessarily need to be involved either. Seeing some ghosts this game but well played!

Thank you for your comment, I literally laughed out loud after reading it because it's hilarious that not only was the queen protected, the tactic wouldn't have worked anyway even if it was! Backward knight moves are hard to see, cant remember which game it was recently but a super GM was missing one in an endgame that wouldve given a win but the result was a draw. Hope to see you on stream sometime and thanks for the sub and comment!

maan don't be lame and accept the gambit! :) By not accepting it you just gave your opponent the opening advantage for free, it's an online game anyway, best time to learn from mistakes. Nice win though
