You're wrong. How could you get it wrong even with Lord Simon explaining it? He says "I assumed that as a consort...". Daemon is Prince Consort he is not a King, same as what happened with Queen Elizabeth in real life, her husband could not be called King otherwise he would be above her in hierarchy. The correct way to adress Daemon is as "Prince", Your grace is for Kings and Queens. The scene was depicting that Daemon does not accept to be below Rhaenyra he wants to be adressed as your grace as if he was a King.

Vhagar has killed many in their attempt to first fly with her. And they had precautions. Aemond did it, alone, with no body to follow, and no saddle to handle. Team Green 💚 earned a powerful ally. Shouldn't Cole technically be her sworn protector, though? Erryk/Arryk mentioned that once Helaena became Queen he should've switch to her & how weird it was that he stayed with Alicent.

@@sproductionsinc I think it’s normal for someone on the Kingsguard to stay with the person they’re guarding, regardless of their position of power changing. Especially if they are fond of them, and Criston obviously does feel that way about Alicent.

@@sproductionsinc Yes, he should have. However, Cole is not qualified for these job titles and responsibilities they keep heaping on him. The man is unhinged as it is. We saw him snap at the wedding. He is being socially promoted just for being in the room.

I don't think he didn't appoint anyone bc he was with Alicent, since he did appoint the Night's Watch. I think he just didn't think it necessary for them to have a guard.

@@alicentcore Exactly, which is beyond absurd of course, Criston is very competent and a skilled warrior in the books, He beats Harwin Breakbones, beats Daemon, beats basically everybody who ever fought him 1v1. The series reduced him to that we're seeing, but I think they'll save his character once the actual war beings. On the books blood and cheese enter Alicent's room through a secret passage and hold her hostage knowing that Helaena always takes the kids to see her before sleep. They kill Alicent's bed maid and kill Helaena's guard cause she did have one with her when she arrived, then they take her and make her choose which of the boys to kill. The tv show makes everybody seem stupid and useless. Sorry for the long text.

@@jvdpc7 idk why your went on that tiraid glazing Cole when other then being a good fighter he isn't anything special, he's still a skilled warrior that hasn't changed, he only beat daemon by hitting him when his guard was down daemon won the initial fight , that's debatable he hasn't had many 1v1s to really tell but again being a good fighter doesn't make you a good character.

If you mean that in the series he is displayed as a somewhat skilled warrior and that’s all he is there then sure, in the series that is what is depicted, and not even his win against Daemon is a true win, in the series he just hits him when his guard is down. And all of that is exactly what I complained about in my original comment, the fact that the series destroyed Cole’s character.

Exactly what does she think alicent could do ? She's only dowager queen her power is limited aegon lost his son and he thinks rhenyrea killed him the time for talking ended after Luke died idk why the writers are wasting our time on this .

This is the reason why her council wanted her to be away. So they can actually make plans for war rather than do nothing. This is pretty much adding to the point of why Rhaenyra wouldn't be a good queen.

They had to control the narrative in a way that made Rhaenyra a protagonist. Too bad, because in the books Criston is the Ultimate Chad, very competent fighter, competent leader, he is the one who convinces and actually crowns Aegon, being known in history as Criston Cole the Kingmaker. He beat Daemon, beat Harwin breakbones, and beat basically everybody who ever fought him in a fair fight.

Bruv, westerosi society is inherently classist. Its not even a hidden fact. It is common sense that you would be suspicious of anyone who rose to such a high rank in one life time when you live in a feudal society.

@@Persephone_Personified he got beaten by Harwin in the yard, literally the opposite of what happened in the books, Harwin Breakbones became known as Harwin Brokenbones after Criston beat him up. In the show he throws a tantrum and kills Joffrey while in the books he killed him in a melee on a tourney. In the show he did not play much of a part in making Aegon King except finding him, the ones who ploted and convinced him were Alicent and Otto. He is displayed as a fucking hypocrite with incel levels of frustration in the show.

@@YaBoyRockLee Criston told Aegon that he had already appointed the Night’s Watch and Arryk asked Criston why Helaena wasn’t given a guard. Criston probably didn’t appoint her a guard because they’re lacking some guards. So Alicent isn’t responsible for Blood and Cheese at all.

Theres not much that can be done by Alicent. Her son Aegon is on the throne. Hes not stepping down. His son was killed. More reason to expect him not to step down. Basically too much damage has been done for Alicent to stop it. She doesn’t have enough power or influence. She has a lot of power but not enough to the people that matter. Such as Aegon the current king. You cant kill my loved one and say my bad this was all understanding…. Rhaneraya should be queen. She is right. AND its too late for Alicent to help her. ​@@ethelannBook Ser Criston Cole is meant to be the greatest of his time. Nearly untouchable. Absolute top-tier with a morningstar. One the the best warriors that had existed and Jaime Lannister considers him a great. Only great fighters of his time he has no interaction with is Cregan Stark, Dalton Greyjoy, and Bloody Ben Blackwood, but I still think he could take nonetheless. He trained Aegon II. , Aemond and Daeron, and all turned out as brave and skilled warriors. Thanks to him Aemond became what he is - nuff said. I personally would put him amongst the top 10 Kingsguard fighters of all time, alongside Ryam Redwyne, Gwayne Corbray, Jaime Lannister, Barristan Selmy, Arthur Dayne, Gerold Hightower, Duncan The Tall and Aemon the Dragonknight. During his 1v1 with Hawin Strong, Criston hits the man's shield so hard with his mace that is breaks Harwins arm. He beats daemon in 1 on 1. fair and square and not by attacking him in the back while he's gloating like they did in the SHOW. The show seems determined to get rid of all his achievements. Also did try to challenge all 4/5 of the Black commanders to single combat prior to the Butcher’s Ball to avoid a battle and save his men since they were pretty much surrounded and basically guaranteed to get slaughtered. Imagine a group of commanders shaking in fear and didnt accept and promptly shot him with arrows until he died (and butchered his men anyways), but the fact he was willing to fight all of those men at once showed he was pretty confident in his combat skills.
