What kicks off someone's car fanaticism? It can be a moment during childhood - someone's car in the neighbourhood, a family member or a moment in motorsport. Maybe something from TV and film? There's always a car style, sound or smell that acts as a catalyst for this fascination we share.

In a way, this is probably the best collection of cars I've ever seen. Every single one is one I'd love to own, work on and use all the time. It's like a smaller more budget friendy version of Jay Leno's garage. Some of them are cool cars that ended up there. Some were bought cheap simply because they were good, and are now worth a lot more.

Dad had one when I was early 20's. Dad and mum did Wales in it. Sadly, it was a rust box. However, it could go! When my brother became old enough to drive, after a couple of Chevettes , he got the two door version. He loved it until it rusted! Both Dad's and my brother's Suds were red! Great movie, as always.

Beautiful ‘Sud! It was a pea-green ‘Sud TI (also an earlier chrome bumper) which first fuelled my love of Alfa Romeo - one used to scream down our road twice a day, and I thought it sounded glorious. A later encounter with an Alfa GTV6 when I was 11 got me fully hooked. I’m on my 3rd Alfa now, having had all sorts of German and Swedish cars over the years - the Alfas are still my favourites.

Great show. I grew up in a street when someone owned an Alfa 6. Red similar to the stunning car. What he did was unfortunately I hate to say familiar thing to see in the 70's. Take out a paint brush and hand paint it black. So it's really nice to see one looking like this. I'm not sure if I'd say no to any of his collection lol. The Metro reminds me of my mum and how she had 3 of them lol never a GTi model. The last being a 5 door yellow beloved car. I once borrowed it for work I'd just got a brand new Saxo VTR went out to work and the accelerator was going to the floor. Turned out a coil pack failed. I borrowed the Metro trying to make up time hammering the small Metro on the motorway I then notice the Police!! I hear the engine roaring away lol and I think sh!t look down at the speedo and I was doing 60 lol. Love his collection very personal , very private. Thank you again Jonny Kind regards Paul

This chap is doing things right, his other half has no worries if she can't see him look under a car. Most of us have either no storage or no money.

It’s great to see a fellow E36 guy. at the moment i could only afford to run an E36 318i (M43) but in the future I definitely love to get an M3.

Loved my Alfa Sud (;YUT 121Y ) 4 dr standard , in cream. That flat 4 sounded amazing at high revs ! I remember the steering wheel wasn't straight , so took it to get the tracking checked at local garage , they pulled off the center part of the steering wheel , 3 bolts held it to the column, they loosened the bolts , strightened the wheel , tightened up said bolts , and gave me a bill ! I felt stupid ! I too waxoiled it at 3 years old , loved to know if it's still alive ? Great episode Jonny 👏

My first 'proper' drive at the age if sixteen was an Alfasud, I've never forgotten it.

Super show Jonny. What a great mix of cars. The BMW six cylinder engine is so smooth. A mate of mine has and old one. He bought a new Beemer some years back and gave it back to the dealer, as he just couldn’t get on with all the new technology and just loves it.

That’s some serious usage on the E36 M3. Good lad.

That 318 compact is really clean. There weren't nearly as many sold in the US as there were 2 and 4 door e36s. Of course M3s of any vintage are treasures. Whats strikes me as funny now is how valuable the VW micro-bus is now. When I was a kid they were just an odd choice of van as the full size Ford and Chevy vans were much more common. Now a good one can bring as much as a house!

Harry’s got a proper 90’s studded belt on too. A man after Jonny’s heart even before the cars.

I like this guy's taste in cars- my first "hero" car was a (US) E36 M3, 2-door, of course. Not a cup-holder in sight. I just found an old photo- mine was the relatively rare Avus Blau, which I describe as "shocking blue metallic". Wish I still had it.
