This is hilarious and I love it For full disclosure, the Spike% speedrunning scene wasn't actually quite as dramatic as the video makes it seem lol. Also I beat my run by 1 frame after analyzing yours and noticing that the room transition from Start Point to First Cave was a frame faster for some reason, and replicating that in a run of my own. B) I didn't look too much into why that extra frame was there to begin with and where it disappeared off into, but possible reasons include new vs. classic graphics, choice of soundtrack, the update that dropped not too long ago.... Also fun fact, the category was originally intended for you to die to specifically that one spike that everybody dies to (the 4th one, I think?), but then thunderzap didn't quite get the memo and just died to whatever spike, and so when the rules were eventually clarified, the requirement was loosened to just any spike and not just that one spike. Oops!

I was like "This is a Cave Story channel so what if..." and then you just showed your run and I was like "I KNEW IT!"

My first death in Cave Story is from the spike to the left of the Spike% one 😛
