Someone should buy Cave Story from that dude: evidently shows not respect for that OG that is CS; truly a shame as for it is the beginning of the great ones, another one that is almost as dead as CS is Off, Undertale really buried everyone.
I hired an artist to recreate iconic Cave Story artwork in their style. The video and artwork don't imply any kind of inappropriate tones, so how about we just not sexualize a feminine thing having feminine anatomy, yeah?
@@Nerdieo Ay, don't worry about it, man. It's a nice art and all, but I just want to poke fun at something funny. Anyway, you have any source to the artist or this specific artwork? Thinking about making it as my wallpaper Edit: Ah nvm, found it in your description
I actually would like to throw in something, I was playing littlebigplanet 2 as a run revisit. When you idle for a short while in the pod. You see random clip montage. I dont know if this counts, But if you look closely on the top left score while the montage is happening. You can see a player nametag named "C_Story30" and I guess thats somewhat a reference I missed years ago somehow. I guess I never idle'd long enough to see the full montage to catch that nametag clearly saying Cavestory.
Misery is crazy easy. Took me like 2 tries...... on my no health capsule run with the mimiga mask. Doc is defitely harder he can teleport right on top of you and the oposite side of the room, muscle doc is easier than regular doc though.
Lowest point in the game? Nah thats being sent to lab, you get to see Sue and Jack alive you have something that lets you fly and dash in any direction, plus you meet an "engineer of considerable talent".
Spur best weapon in the game? Machine gun:allows you to move more efficiently, basically a booster you dont need to land to recharge although it runs out of amo blade:way higher damage per second at level 1/2, 1 blade is allowed on screen but as soon as its gone you can hit again, so if you are close to a boss you can just spam, snake also more damage per second. Spur is only good for a casual run with sword you can just camp hitboxes and spam, and with machine gun you can efficiently complete all the platforming in lab/sandzone and also avoid drowning in the core fight.
Talk to Chaba AFTER getting the Spur. Chaba is the Gaudi in the Labyrinth who typically offers you the ability to turn the Polar Star and Fireball into the Snake. If you have the Spur, they'll claim they can't offer you anything as you've already obtained the ultimate weapon. They'll then offer you the Whimsical Star instead.
Hey, I'm just now realising something... Spoilers below! With how the devil flowers (as I like to call them) are described to affect Mimiga, having them completely lose all their mental faculties after they eat them, while also becoming unstoppable killing machines several times their size prior, what is the deal with Igor? He's the only Mimiga-turned-Ravil in the game, that does seem to retain some of his. As far as I've seen, nothing in the game, or extended lore of the game seems to explain how he managed to do that. Adding to that, we have one of the fan interviews with Pixel, that you, or some other Cave Story youtuber mentioned, in which Pixel was supposedly asked about how King and Arthur were able to become the warriors they were, specifying if it was in any way related to the devil flowers, and how they could safely eat them. The answer was that yes, they indeed consumed the devil flowers, but after cooking/boiling them. This allowed Arthur and King to gain a moderately weaker boost, but let them stay in Mimiga form. On the other hand, we have the Ravil that we encounter in the game, and rabid Toroko, none of whom can seem to be able to speak, since their minds aren't there anymore. That shows us, that a fully transformed Ravil is a lost cause and can only be put down. And with that we have a dilemma: Igor seems to be fully transformed, but also seems to retain some of his mental faculties! Being able to not only speak, but also fully comprehend the situation he's in! Being under order to protect dragon eggs, by someone he calls "master", thus understanding the concept of servitude! All that goes beyond simple primal instincts, because he really wouldn't care about capturing Sue, or guarding some eggs, that are in no way related to him! He would just be a giant attack dog if only primal instincts were involved! If you read everything, thanks. Now here's my question and topic for debate: How could Igor be fully transformed, and yet somewhat mentally still there?
Yes! I should start doing this for all my videos haha Submarine - Rockfish OST Mizuno - Ikachan HD OST Living Waterway - Cave Story OST Labyrinth Fight - Cave Story Encore OST Submarine - Rockfish OST . . . Again!
Ngl, I remember playing it a LONG time ago. And after finishing it, hearing about alternate paths, decisions, secrets, and endings. I am struggling to remember: but I believe my ending wound up with me fighting some mad doctor character, some big machine (may have fought that first, idk, I also think I had to fight 2 brainwashed characters as well), and the island falling with you needing to escape. I should honestly get and replay it, as I remember it being insanely challenging and fun.
8:15 I found out you can technically get all four in one save. First: bad ending Second: mimiga mask ending Third: (after back tracking through final cave with mask) good ending Fourth: normal ending
Love both Running Hell and On to Grasstown, not only because of the upbeat BPM but also because of what they convey, Running Hell starts as an aggressive theme and then switches to a more melodic, soothing melody, which is in itself a symbolism of our relationship with Curly through out the game, and On to Grasstown is just so melodically pleasing, giving you the feel of getting you hyped for an adventure while making you emotional about it at the same time. Amaya's not only a musical genius but also is the GOAT (or Mimiga) of conveying symbolic meaning through it. Btw, banger video man.
In the Beta, technically the character is a feminine android that was originally a design for Curly Brace. Quote never came around until the development reset.
I know this is like 3 years old, but the chapters would be better if they were based on when you talk about the weapon rather then just when you drop them into the tier list.
I cant help but be a little sad that no reference to the gunsmith's speech was made. The extra bit of dialogue after speaking to him a second time paralleling Pixel's experience as a game developer. It would have made a wonderful epilogue piece.
