The wisdom coming from the Guru is profound, simple with depth and yet how many times does one find they are doing something of a lower nature instead of connecting with and coming from our natural higher nature?

If there is no such thing as eternalism then can someone explain why near death experiencers often encounter Jesus in the afterlife and they are told they can be with him forever? Also near death experiencers report having an eternal soul...so?

The soul is eternal and therefore never dies, we all have the capacity to become enlightened beings, even Jesus was resurrected in order to become a figurehead for Christians in the same way Buddha as reincarnated many times in order help liberate us and help us Buddhists achieve nirvana

The same as many other enlightened masters, out of compassion Jesus created a 'pureland' for sentient beings, called Heaven. We enter Heaven like a drop of dew enters a lake...from our perspective we last forever. But from the perspective of the enlightened master / from the perspective of the lake, we merge with the primordial consciousness / unify with God / the dew drop merges with the water. The dew drop thinks it is a separate entity, the lake knows there is no separation. Jesus said we are not separate from God. When we merge with the infinite, there is nothing of 'us' left to call our 'self'. The Mahayana talk about the 'relative truth' and the 'absolute truth'. From the 'relative' sense there is a being who transcends to a Pureland. From the 'absolute' sense no'thing' / no'one' is separate, and therefore there is noone who transcends. Of course this is confusing for the dew drop to think about! But it will make sense to the dew drop when she merges with the lake. Consciousness is eternal and does not reside in the body, so when we have a near death experience, we can perceive things from outside the body, and can get a sense of the eternal. No 'thing' is eternal. The eternal exists not of the physical realm. The physical realm exists within the eternal. God, Jesus, Padmasambhava, the Buddha, Amitabha, all exist beyond the physical realm. When we 'let go' of our body, either in death or through deep states of meditation or prayer with strong faith, we have a chance to meet Jesus. May you find eternal peace my friend. 🙏🥰
