Plan B is hatched and GetOutside explores the rainbow ski field area just outside of St Arnaud. Located 60 minutes from Blenheim or Nelson the rainbow ski field has been running for 40 years but we visit in early summer and have the place to ourselves.

What a grand day out! I've ridden the Rainbow/Moleworth loop several times on a dirt bike, but never realised what a hidden gem lay waiting up the ski field track. Time to get some serious cycling practice done and then retrace your route. Many thanks for the inspiration, Paul.
