i live in terror this video will disappear from youtube and I won't have access to it anymore because this No Side to Fall rendition in is best ever live performance i have seen by any band, ever, and the studio version doesn't hold a candle to it.
I remember The Raincoats from the 70s... a couple of them were at the same art school as me (Hornsey) and seemed to do a lot more music than art... obviously time well spent!
I fucking love that DIY anybody can make music punk thing. There was a potential then. Where is it now? Women dancing in their undercrackers with autotune switched on? Fuck a Duck. I stand by the Raincoats as part of a new dawn, which I am waiting for still.
Enjoy it for what it is. They didn't have a million dolars to make a video that would pass muster in 2013. Which is good. I hate he 2-sceond cut style of music video. It is utterly, utterly, crap.
