I sent a rare master cylinder and booster to him and that was received 4/8/24. I called beforehand and was told it would take 3 weeks. It is now 8 weeks, and I cannot get them to answer the phone. The one time they did they put me on hold for 30 minutes, so I called from another line, and they said they'd call me back. Never did and have never answered the phone since.

Well that sucks, sorry to hear that. I know he goes to a ton or off-road events and I think he does all the repairs and work by himself. Hopefully he’s just busy and will get to you soon. I didn’t have any issues when I called but that was 3 years ago and people only get older.

This is a VERY helpful video, especially the part starting at about @10:29 which discusses that these are reworked Ford SuperDuty pickup front unit bearings.

I'm surprised that the Ford Super Duty pickup unit bearing assembly has the same knuckle-side flange bolt pattern as Dodge (which also means it's the same as GM HD pickups).

So basically just drill the rotors ..add spacers (washers)..to the wheel studs so air flow can keep the bearings cool..and not overheat..instead of buying this?...damn..i got 2016 ram 2500 4x4..with 22x14 wheels and ive replaced the wheel hubs once..with 184k...im good

Yeah pretty much. And get an adapter for the stub shaft to go from ram to ford or maybe just get a ford stub shaft with a special u-joint. My plan if one of these bearings fails is just go get a timken ford wheel bearing and take it to a machine shop since I have the adapter.

I bought the kit for my 1500 Ram, total junk, they told me two weeks delivery, took over two months, ok I get it. Opened the package, one spline was machined wrong, they used zip ties on cv boots and the cv shaft are China junk not OEM like they say on their website. They won't respond to my emails. They also have ALOT of complaints.
@Halffast719
@Halffast719 3 года назад
I saw all those bad reviews but for the Ram 2500 I haven’t seen any negatives. I just didn’t want something that stuck out a foot like Yukon and those other companies. Plus there’s no maintenance on these bearings unlike Yukon’s. If I owned a Jeep, Toyota or 1500 dodge I’d definitely not go to Ram man.

I hope you can still reply to this. I got a truck that has this conversion kit on it and the manual lockers have bother snapped and broke. Seeing as they are reworked ford front unit bearing hubs, youd assume ford replacment lockers would fit..... Except they dont. So now what the hell do I do?!?! Am i stuck with useless reworked hubs now>?? lmao this is fucking awful. Have you had this issue and have you ever had to replace them, if so do you remmeber the part you found to fit!?? 2012 ram 2500 6.7 35 spline axle, but when i get the dorman manual locking hub 600-220 for 35 spline ford replacement hub, it will not fit inside the hub assembly. wtf did this guy do, make custom lockers so youd be fucked if they broke and need to order from him to replace?!?!? last thing i want to do is send that guy any money seeing as he has the worst reviews of any business ive ever seen online. Some one please help

So there’s an adapter inside the hub from fords stub shaft to our shaft. Really simple actually. I installed warn hubs on there and just had to swap that adapter. Hopefully that’s what you’re talking about.

I don’t see the point of all that $$ and not having rebuildable bearings like Yukon spintec dynatrac I have had a lot of Dana 60s danna 44s never over heated bearings no spacers. Not trying to be rude. Seems kinda cheesy to use Ford unit bearings. Good video.
@Halffast719
@Halffast719 3 года назад
I looked into all of those. I wanted a low profile look. These are a timken Ford bearings. I’m hoping that if I keep them greased they’ll last a long time. All my work trucks were fords that I’d put 250k miles on a year and never had any issues but we’ll see. I’m not taking it rudely because I thought the same exact thing but we’ll see.

I was really intetested in the ram man stuff till I seen all the bad reviews about him on pretty much every forum and a bunch on the BBB site too so there is no way I would buy his stuff.
@Halffast719
@Halffast719 2 года назад
But I think that’s more for the 1/2 ton dodge, definitely the jeep, his older version where he basically just glued a hub on the bearings. Mine seem to be holding up pretty good. 40k miles. I’d rather go with spyntec if they could go a lot smaller. Even their smaller version low profile,still sticks out past the wheel practically.

I googled him a bunch. I saw all his crappie products. That why my stock bearings are in my toolbox in the bed haha. He sells a lot of junk and I’d like to think these ford bearings will last since all my work trucks over the years have been fords that I put well over 250k miles on each one of them. That’s 5 trucks dang 1.25 million miles.

It’s just a Ford super duty wheel bearing. If it goes out all I gotta do is take it to a machine shop and have them drill out my lug pattern and swap the spacers and adapter over to the new bearings. Doesn’t seem that horrible considering I’m saving money on MPGs.

I have only had one issue which was the cheap hubs they come with, one of them blew up. They Warranty them but I paid the extra for premium warn hubs and haven’t had an issue since. I don’t have any vibration, noise or abs issues and am getting around 3-5 MPGs better and the truck accelerates quicker. And I’m not sure how to describe it but the truck feels lighter on the steering too. I like them.

Thanks for making this video, it clearly shows what a jury rigged POS this kit is. You just saved a lot of people a ton of money and disappointment. Washers between the hub and rotor only a moron would make it like that. How’s the brake pulsation?
@Halffast719
@Halffast719 3 года назад
I have no pulsating going on. I got 10k miles on them with no noise. But when I get to 50k miles if they last that long. I don’t mind being the Ginny pig haha. If they blow I’m sure I’ll let everyone know.
@videopipeline6419
@videopipeline6419 3 года назад
On the GM kits, there is nothing holding the CV output shaft into the unit bearing, because the threaded end had to be eliminated to have a splined end for the locking hubs. RamMan thinks that's not a problem because the CV axle can't move inward far enough to disengage the splines. But the male splined shaft and female splined hub aren't designed for axial movement.
@videopipeline6419
@videopipeline6419 3 года назад
@@Halffast719 ...and if that happens, it's not just the replacment cost, but also that you're dependent upon an "eccentric" (to put it mildly) guy to still be around to provide new replacement unit bearings.
@Halffast719
@Halffast719 3 года назад
If that happens then I’ll just buy Ford bearings and drill machine out that lug pattern I guess. I’d like to think I’ll get 100k miles out of these if I maintain them properly and stick with this wheel and tire size or stock size.
@Halffast719

@@Halffast719 your whole wheel bearing is going to fly off one day, Ford which this dude claims his design is based on does not use spacers an washers. An I have timken bearings also, all are high quality parts. Toyota has used the same design as SpynTec and they dont have problems. You already showed slop in the half shaft in your own video. That alone eventually will snap it off. My friend has ran the same brand as me for 100,000 miles towing backhoes an not one failure.
