The rambi is almost done. We still need to add curtains and paint a few areas. We also added D-rings on the inside so when the doors are open that Sam and Trini are leashed and not able to run out. D-rings on both sides of the outside for the dogs. Please leave a comment on what color you think we should paint the inside walls. We also love suggestions. Rambi history as best we know it:
2000 Ford E450 with the 7.3 diesel engine with a PL custom ambo box.
Rambi was in service in Long Island, NY and then sold to Granville, NY as rescue 51. It was then purchased by a gentleman named Peter who worked for the City of Troy, NY. Peter turned it into a tool truck to service all of the fire and ambulance vehicles for the City of Troy, NY. Then we bought it and turned it into our rolling home. Besides doing the interior, we had to put a new transmission in it, which we weren’t surprised was needed. Rambi then got new tires and shocks.
