No,the Rapture Theory was concocted in England in the year 1830.( Supposed to be based on a vision of a 15 yr old girl!) Did not gain popularity until the early 1900's ,during WWI, Many thought the end times were upon us. ( The carnage, and the devastating Spanish Influenza that actually ended the war!) Converts embracing the Theory believed that they would not endure any suffering. The Fearful were drawn to it, like a moth to the flame!

It's funny how the pre-tribbers always say WHAT WOULD BE THE POINT OF HAVING US SUFFER TRIBULATION? Ummm the very reason you are so dependent on the pre-trib rapture doctrine, YOU don't want to suffer for his name's sake, even though he PROMISED us tribulation, persecution and even death for following Him. It's a purging process to weed out the fake saints, that don't really love Him enough to lay down their lives for Him. How tragic to value life in this fallen, broken world over eternal life with Him. The second ironic tragedy, is most people who buy into the pre-trib rapture have this escapism mindset, that this earth is not our home, that we are just passing through and they just stare up in the sky waiting for Jesus. However, Jesus told us to occupy until He comes to establish His Kingdom HERE. So yes, this IS our home, and we are to advance the Kingdom HERE as commanded. This escapism mindset has made so many Christians passive and completely detached from the affairs of this world, and we've taken this nation founded on God's laws and principals and turned it into the Roman Empire. So ironically, it's their pre-trib belief that tricked them into bringing on their own persecution, in a nation founded to be a safe haven for them.

I don't think a true Christian can lose their salvation, but it is possible for someone to think they're saved and be denied in Heaven (Matthew 7:21).

The Church(the Bride of Christ) will definitely not be here for the seven year tribulation period. That is a time of God finalizing his prophetically appointed dealing with the Jews, the nation of Israel, and it is a time of his judgment and wrath being poured out on the unbelieving world. The only Christians during that terrible time will be those who have believed after the Church, the true believers have been caught up to Jesus to escape that horrendous time. We will not be here for the tribulation. God has not appointed us to wrath. Jesus took God's wrath upon himself so that we would not have to. @jsteele650 none of your anecdotal comments ate scriptural. The BIBLE says the tares are gathered first, not the wheat. And yes I have the Holy Spirit (the real one) and He has born witness that there is no pretrib rapture. The Father Himself has told me there is no pretrib rapture. Sounds like an argument spawned by satan and I have heard it many a time before. The wheat will be threshed from the chaff with a "tribulum" during the wrath of satan, the man of sin. If you endure and overcome, the crown of life will be yours.

Yes I agree it is simply stated in II Peter 3 and I Corinthians 15 and Mark 13. He will take us up at the last day. No one will be confused by this event everyone will see Jesus coming. The great Tribulation IS God's wrath and the Bride of Christ will NOT go through it. There will be Tribulation Saints but we are not part of that time. Rightly divide the Word.

Jesus himself tells us we will be in the tribulation, and that we will be persecuted for his name sake, for the testimony that we give because Satan hates us. Revelation tells us that Satan will have control over us to do what he wishes. That’s where the patience of the saints will come in in the overcoming of the persecution that will happen. This is why we were warned about the great falling away, because so many people believe in that faults fables that they were taught I think it’s second. Timothy four verse four. Actually just go one through six. Don’t believe the fables. If you actually really and truly dig through the Bible, I am into it now 3 1/2 years and just the end times the last days with Daniel, the Prophet and revelation the gospel there is no pre-TRIB and when you hear people say those are the tribulation, Saints show me gods verse that says that. Show me the verse that says the churches and the Saints or the elect aren’t the same because through the gospel some places they say were called the saints and others they say where the church . Look up John Lewis Derby there was actually three people who started the fables of the pre-tribulation if you dig, and I mean dig into the older churches in history none of them believed in pre-tribulation. Just prepare your hearts. This is why there will be a great falling away.

Why do you think God would’ve allowed millions of people to die, for his name sake for his testimony, even his own apostles why are you so special that you don’t have to stand with the testimony for him as he did for you do you really think in the new world that God has created for us? Wrath is not the same as tribulation. I think many believers think the two are the same. Tribulation is hardships that we will face and many believers are facing it now in some countries. Wrath is God pouring out his righteous anger onto the earth and cleansing it. Believers will endure the tribulation but not the ultimate wrath. Think about the disciples… they all had the Holy Spirit but were martyred as are many believers. I think we can forget that Christians are being murdered in other countries as I write this but it hasn’t happened here (yet).

These people are biblically ignorant. We are not appointed to wrath.

Also, if Jesus resurrects all believers at the end of the tribulation, and the wicked are slain, who populates the earth in the millennial reign? According to Isaiah 11, children are born during that time. In my opinion this debunks the post tribulation view. I should know, I used to hold that view.

Jesus did not teach we would not have tribulation, but quite the opposite. John 16:33 says, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." NO part in it? 1 Peter 4:12-16 "Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. I've also thought this but where I am struggling is about the dead rising first, the first resurrection happens after the devil is put away just before the 1000yr reign, now 1 thess 4:15 says the living will not proceed the dead. The first resurrection is in rev 20 after the devil is put away....so how do we know then the rapture is before the tribulation? I am struggling with this? Tribulation can only happen with the devil ans Anti christ and then he's put away and then the dead rise so how is it possible. Even tho I understand that the marriage supper discussion why do the dead rise after the devil is out away.....and the living do not proceed the dead?

Are you reckoning all the church gets in behind the seated 'elders' in heaven at Chp 4? So far, each time I read Revelation, I get the impression we form part of "the great multitude" in Rev 7. Then another batch comes out of the tribulation in Rev 14 (which could just signify the last 3.5yrs of Jacob's trouble with everything the AC beasts will do, not a full 7yr last week of Daniel's 70th week prophecy exclusive to Israel). Just to help clear up misunderstandings from semantics, there is no generic biblical problem in identifying saved sinners, who dont make a practice of sinning without remorse and correctio, as 'saints' of God (this is not in terms of works nor by our own righteousness but in just keeping on His cloak of righteousness, washed in His Blood, having a living testimony of that primarily). Those who take refuge in Him are all saints of God Most High. Saints are not a reserved word in meaning attached exclusively to the jews in Jesus' day or today.

Christ is saving the church from apostatizing. The idea that the ENGLISH word "church" is not found in the Bible after Rev.3 is apples and oranges. 1) The English word "church" was translated from the Greek "Ekklesia" which means "CONGREGATION of the ELECT." It ONLY applies to either a specific congregation or members of a home fellowship, or the universal church. Individual redeemed gentiles were called "the elect", "saints", or "servants." NEVER is a single or a few individual believers called a church. (Actually, the word 'church' originally referred only to the PLACE where religious meeting and ceremonies were held, not the people who made up the congregation.) The words saints, servants, and elect do continue to appear, because the focus in Rev. 1 - 3 was on the congregations of 7 churches in Asia Minor. From Rev. 4 it is focused on events, rather than congregations. Once the Beast empire is in power, churches will be crushed and the saints. elect, and servants will be scattered. ************************************* It is interesting to note that all 7 of those churches were destroyed by the very same empire that followed Rome (The Ottomans/Islamic caliphate.) According to Rev. 17 the final Beast empire will be a Latter Days revival of the same empire that followed the Romans. Erdogan of Turkey has been actively working to revive the Ottoman empire/Islamic caliphate.

Because we're raptured before the bowls are poured. The bowls are God's wrath, the Great Tribulation is Satan's wrath.

That's called rejecting Christ.....Every aspect of dispensationalism is a rejection of Christ.... the end conclusion is that Christ is no longer the way, the truth and the life... but somehow we can make it to the Father through the mere man Paul. If Christ directly told us that He comes after the tribulation.... Matt 24:29-31... shouldn't there actually be Scripture that suggests that He comes prior, before its even a consideration? The "dead" are "asleep", and I don't see where they have a "body". I believe all saints are "awakened" and receive their new bodies at the same time ( return of Christ ). A lot of people misunderstand what "endure to the end" means. They think it means you have to do some work to earn your salvation. The verse is actually a warning to us to continue in the faith, and not be deceived or quit loving one another. Context is everything!

No, Christians are not excluded from persecution, trials and tribulations, death, and martyrdom. They are not excluded now and never have been, nor will they be right up until the harpazo when He catches us up to be with Him. Then, the 7 year time of Jacob's trouble begins. The time when God will finalize his prophetically determined dealings with the nation of Israel/the Jewish people. The time when God will judge the unbelieving world. We will not suffer the persecution and distress and tribulation of that time because He has promised to keep us from it. He has promised that we will escape it. We will be with Him. We will be celebrating the marriage feast of Christ and His bride(the Church). Then we will return with Him at His second coming at the end of the 7 years. The Harpazo(the catching up, the rapture) and the Second Coming of Christ in judgment are two separate events. At the rapture, believers will meet Christ in the air (1 Thessalonians4:17). At the second coming, believers return with the Lord to the earth (Revelation19:14). The rapture is an any-moment event (1 Corinthians:50-55; 1 Thessalonians 5:2). It could occur at any time. It is imminent. We should be watching, waiting, and ready. The second coming will clearly take place at the end of a seven-year tribulation (Revelation 6-19). Believers will be removed from the earth in the rapture before it is judged (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; 5:9). Unlike at the second coming when unbelievers will experience judgment (Matthew 24:40-41). The rapture will be instant and secret (1 Corinthians 15:50-55). The second coming will be visible to all (Matthew 24:29-31). From other scripture passages, we know that Daniel’s 70th week will begin with a perception of peace (Daniel 8:25), which will quickly be replaced by war. Therefore Paul’s reference to “peace and safety” points to the beginning of Daniel’s 70th Week, not the end, not the actual day of the Lord’s return. He said believers should not be surprised by this and changed his narrative from the third person (they) in verse 3 to the second person (you) in verse 4. He did this to distinguish between the unbelieving world, who will be surprised, and the believers who won’t. Being sons of the light (having the knowledge of Scripture), we will be able to see the signs of its approach, and when we do, we should be awake and alert. After expanding on that thought (Vs. 5-8) he came to verse 9. “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.“ It is obvious and understood that believers will not suffer the eternal wrath of God that awaits unbelievers. But the context of the scripture in 1 Thess.5:1-9 is the Day of the Lord. It is the time when the end times judgments will fall upon an unbelieving and unsuspecting world. In Rev. 3:10, the Lord promised to keep us from the “hour of trial” that’s coming upon the whole world. A different Greek word for “from” is used there. It means > out of the place, time, or cause of the event being referenced. So, His promise is to keep us out of the time and place of His wrath since we’re not the cause of it. If the rapture can take place at any moment, then believers are urged to live holy lives with a sense of urgency to share Christ with other people. Not one single time. Strange if the Church is here during that time. The most likely explanation for this omission is that believers have already been rescued from this time of judgment through the rapture. Both events are distinct from each other. When Christ returns at the rapture, He will come in the air to take His people to be with Him. When He comes at the second coming, He will return in judgment and defeat the Antichrist and those with him. The denial of the rapture is a false teaching. The Lord does not want you to go down into the bed of tribulation. His bridal remnant will speak to warn the church and the world but will be rejected by all. The Lord warns his saints to let no man take thy crown. Mans doctrines will steal many crowns! The church has the opportunity to not go down into the tribulation period, but their doctrines are going to take them there. They should have had crowns, but now they are holding palm branches. @Kman. The Church doesn't need to be gone during the Tribulation for Israel to be drawn during that time. In fact, I believe the Church will be instrumental as the Holy Soirit works in and through us to bring many saints into the fold. Jesus tells us in Matthew 24 exactly what will happen. He doesn't comfort them by saying, "But fear not, those who have put their belief in me will be rescued before any of these difficult things happen." No. He tells His followers they will face the Tribulation of those days.

The kingdom is for Israel only. If you are not descended from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, you will live til you die. You will sleep til you are called at your appointed time post reign. There will be humans. There are those who will remain neutral, who refuse the Mark but are not believers. There will also be children born who survive into the millennium. Understand that "The whole world" was a term often used to describe the whole nation, the whole land, or the whole empire. Not every nation will join the Beast. There will be survivors. The kingdom is for redeemed Israel. Just as the kingdom of David was for Israelites, but David himself was of Moabite descent as well as Israeli. He was fully Jew, as Ruth became a Jew by choice. Believers will also be spiritual Jews by Choice and adoption.

No, the 2 witnesses will be testifying to the lost, as will the 144,000 Jews who are sealed by God. They will be pointing to Jesus- especially to the unbelieving Jews. The rapture will provoke the Jews to jealousy (Romans 11:11) The church is the bride of Christ. We will be in heaven with Him, and then come back to earth with Him at the Second coming (Revelation 19).

There is no such thing as a rapture. If there were, it would be clearly stated in Mark 13, Revelation, and Matthew 24 where God tells us how the end times will happen and there is no mention of any rapture. In fact, the Rapture is refuted in Isaiah 52:12 and Ezekiel 13:20.

The crop must be ready before it can be harvested. Barley and wheat are both grain companies that are both planted at the same time, in the autumn. The final company, caught up at midtrib, before the open door is shut, are the grapes that are gathered at midtrib. The grapes are the 144,000 Jews.

Tribulation and His Wrath are 2 separate events. They are not synonymous. That is the first major failure of pre trib understanding. It is you that needs to wake up, or you will fall away as Jesus describes in Mathew 24-25

In Matthew 24:29 Jesus is not referring to the rapture. Please read my rebuttal to this that I posted here today.

I know about the 1260 days ( mentioned in Revelation ) and the 1290 and 1335 in Daniel chapter 12, but I"m currious how you came up with "cut short" = 1263.5 days. I've never heard that before ( and don't see it in the scriptures ).

If you see it happening with Christ you will see it happening with the two witnesses. The entire purpose it to remind the world of Christ. They are “the two anointed ones.” He is “the anointed Prince.” It all looks exactly alike.

The biggest problem is that some do not make the distinction between the tribulation and the wrath of God. They seem to be confused. While we are not appointed unto wrath, does that mean that the church will be removed? Perhaps we shall be covered as Israel was covered during the plagues of Egypt? I question your argument regarding chapter 24 in that it speaks of the gathering of the elect after the tribulation (v. 29-31).

So, answer this. Why should we keep watch over the signs of His coming?How can Jesus come unexpectedly "like a thief in the night"? Jesus directly quoted Daniel 12 when He refers to the "abomination". But the rest of the verse that He was quoting says :Daniel 12: 11 “From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12 Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days. Now, the context of Daniel 11 and 12 are prophecies about the last kingdom that rises to power, and the two figures that rule in this kingdom,just prior to the coming of Messiah. Daniel 12 is about the end of this kingdom rule,when Messiah returns.All the Jews knew this prophecy,that's why Jesus quoted it. So,Jesus CANNOT come at any time. He comes,1335 days after "the abomination",and the daily sacrifices are stopped. That's clear and straightforward. Now why do we even have to keep watch over "all these things",when we only have to watch for this one event? The church hasn't been mentioned since Rev.4. But if this is the church, do you really believe that the whole church just FALLS ASLEEP!,while they're being hunted down and slaughtered? Again tell me how this is possible? You see,it's only a PreTrib rapture that can unexpectedly. What Jesus is referring to in Daniel is "the Day Of The Lord", when the Messiah comes to judge the earth,destroy Israels enemies, and begins His thousand year reign. The bride/body would not, and cannot be broken. If only PART of the church goes up @ the rapture, & then bits & pieces go up (as they're killed in the tribulation?), then you'd be lobbying for a partial rapture, & some form of purgatory on earth for some (for w/ever reason) would have to endure while the "FIRST" load is enjoying heaven.

The Great Tribulation isn't God's wrath - only the bowls are His wrath, and we're raptured immediately before they're poured. Those who populate the millenium consist of the remainder of Israel, which is protected from God's wrath, and the many gentiles left alive who didn't take the mark.

You don't have to divine some leading by the Holy Spirit when the Bible clearly states the order: Martyred Tribulation Saints > the First Resurrection > and then the Rapture. Numerous other verses confirm it, but here are the only plainly stated, absolute indicators that the rapture is post trib. 1 Thess 4:16-17 plainly states that the dead in Christ rise FIRST, THEN we who are alive and remain will be caught up with them to be with the Lord. At this point we don’t know which resurrection (if there are multiple) or when that resurrection takes place. But, Rev 20:4-5 Tells us plainly that the FIRST resurrection includes those who were beheaded for their testimony and did not worship the beast or take his mark. So obviously, if the FIRST resurrection includes those who were killed by the beast, the first resurrection takes place after the martyrdom of the saints in the great tribulation. Then as mentioned in 1 Thess 4, the rapture takes place after the saints are resurrected. Clearly there can’t be any resurrections prior to the first one, so therefore, the order can only be as stated above, Tribulation > resurrection of the tribulation saints > and rapture. God isn’t trying to keep secrets from us. He WANTS us to be prepared, and He makes it as simple as possible. He doesn’t expect us to ignore plainly stated scripture and divine hidden meaning on other scriptures that would directly contradict the plainly stated ones. This would be malevolent deception at best.

Since we are raptured at that last Trumpet we do not partake in the Wrath of God. So THAT fits perfectly with all the other scriptures.

The three legs of a solid Christian foundation are Time in the Word, Time in Prayer, and Fellowship with the Saints. If in your time in prayer you feel the Holy Spirit is revealing some truth to you, that isn't actually from the Holy Spirit at all, then you've got the Word and/or Fellow Believers to bring you back to the truth, by showing you scriptures that indicate what you heard was from the enemy or your flesh, as the Holy Spirit will NEVER contradict His word. It's scary how many believers hold feelings or impressions they get, above the scriptures. NOTHING trumps the scriptures, but fellow believers can help to make sure you aren't reading something into the scriptures that isn't actually stated.

You could go on and on misunderstanding or you could believe the words Jesus spoke. First of all, it was Jesus and his apostles that taught that the tribulation and the second coming would be in their generation. An honest person if left with 2 options: 1.) Jesus was wrong or he lied. 2.) he was right and you are not understanding something. There is a third options for people who are unwilling to be honest with themselves and that is to change the words of Christ and his Apostles. Jesus was a Jew, speaking primarily to Jews, quoting from Jewish scriptures. You need to study your Bible to recognize and understand the Hebraic context and use of language, or you can bury your head in the sand and keep waiting for something that isn’t coming. Christ is not going to literally on the mount of olives. Christ humbled himself by taking on the for of man and he shed that form when he was glorified. There is no physical earthly temple today. 6.) There is no third earthly temple prophesied or spoken in the Bible. 7.) In Matthew 24 we are told by the inspired writer that Jesus was talking to his disciples. We cannot remove them from the passage. 8.) Jesus said to the people the inspired writer said he was speaking to, that they should flee Judea when they see "the abomination that causes desolation" standing in the holy place (Matthew 24:1 & 24:15). 9.) Luke tells us that "the abomination that causes desolation" is the armies surrounding Jerusalem (Luke 21:20) 10.) Peter said the Judge was standing at the door and the end of all things was at hand (1 Peter 4:5-7) I would suggest that when Jesus, Paul, John, and Peter (James could be included) all have the same consistent message, then perhaps we should believe them. There are many more verses that demonstrate this consistent message.
