yes, kinda likely. maestro returned once for ow remix and that’s when skins were still free, so it could be likely carbon is still rarer, but who knows.
Don’t forget that some OWL teams as change their color such as florida mayhem or valiant. You can’t buy the old color team skin anymore but some players in the game still have them.
The Lifeweaver Cassia Skin is avaiable for 1000 basic coins... id say the Phi Ta Kon Skin (or how its written) is the rarest, cuz S4 was a all time low OW2 time and you cant get it anymore.

Feels good to own twelve of thirteen of this, including Lego Bastion, American Reaper, Fantasma Sombra, Tyrande and Illidan and Inferno Junkrat, to now see how loved and rare they are!
Blizzard is in the middle of a big pool, sitting on a fence that divides the pool. One foot, is on bringing CERTAIN skins back, if they can turn it into a bundle, or reskin it, or if they deem it returnable, without playing into the OTHER side of the pool. The pre mentioned other half of the pool, is keeping most skins that are deemed rare, and would jeopardize their money scheme of "Buy it now, or you'll never see it again!" mindset they, and ow1 players seem to have.
i wish that i had mercy’s pink. i started in 2018 just a couple months too late to get it. sucks, as a mercy main. did manage to get the rerelease of the atlantic all stars one though. love that one.
if u think that's bad, i played when it was out but thought "oh that's so expensive and i don't even play mercy that much so i won't get it". here i am, a 400h mercy main, crying because i was so stupid.....
This skin will come back one day because a lot of skin have come back (great example Mei braided hair skin came back to the market). The only ones that won't comeback is BlizzCon skin and probably the Pink Mercy.
i think the association that received the donations for breast cancer (aka pink mercy sells) said they of course appreciate any donation and would love to collab with overwatch again but I think overwatch themselves said they had no plans to any time soon.
The only rare skins I use are the Pink Mercy, Lego Bastion and Inferno Junkrat one. Even tho I own almost all of the shown skins. But Pink Mercy will forever be my peak skin to use, good to be a Mercy main!
I hope all the rare skins come back someday, I kinda feel mad at myself for not playing the game earlier and getting them but I couldn’t even get ow until later in its lifetime and it never interested me until I played ow2 when it came out. Hopefully ones like Lego Bastion and Oni Genji come back.
@@Casedilla73 most of these have and will return. make sure to go to “owned and unowned” in the skins filter thing after almost every big update. they readd a few they plan to release later on. (except lego bastion. lego doesn’t really like blizzard at the moment)
same. here’s to hoping it returns for halloween this year. last year vampire baptiste returned (which was a skin released alongside inferno junkrat) and elf junkrat re-eleased last year as well for christmas. so i’d say there’s a pretty good chance we’ll get him this year.
All skins should come back. Having time limited skins goes counter to the entire point of having skins in the first place. I guarantee they'd make more money from people just wanting skins and buying them than they now do by psychologically pressuring people to buy skins they dont want because of artificial scarcity.
@@SwishyBros I'm really glad they're open to bringing old limited skins back, especially alongside the new Mythic system. Call me someone who "takes a mile," but I'm hoping they just open up all old cosmetics for purchase or unlock, even stuff like old battlepass titles.
@@legomaniac2530 They made a red recolor of the Sym Tyrande skin that has been in the shop once. I don’t think there has been a recolor of the Genji skin though.
It's a fucking joke. All these limited time event skins that I grinded way back in the day, now purchaseable in the show. Skeleton Genji, American Reaper etc. Only skins that I'm positive will never be released again, is the Noire Widow for preordering, and the Blizzcon Bastion Skin + Illidan Genji.
@@CeoXz First they did it with Oni Genji, back in OW1. Play 10 games in HoTS with a friend to get that shit, 6 months later hes free to purchase with coins or get him in lootboxes. Calling shit limited time event skins should be illegal, if they're going to re-release that shit later, And sell them in the shop, like they do in OW2.
That's a good thing. Weaponizing fomo is bad and no skin should be "exclusive" or "rare" people should get to play with things they like and shouldn't be punished for starting late
The only rare skins that I want to return- *Are old Shock, Valiant and Mayhem skins for DVa* (which I missed out on due to my grudge against Shock or just because I didn't had money and time at that point)

I've been playing ow1 since release every now and then. Just recently came back, and after watching this vid realised that I have the best and rarest skin for Junkrat - inferno. Fun fact, I don't even play him xD
The rarest skin of the entire game franchise are those they dont or can't bring back. You can say old OWL skins that now changed team and colour. However new teams could be aple to adapt the colours of old teams. So its not on the list. I think the zarya skin cant make a comeback due to the allegations. Making it the rarest.
it’s still a neat skin on its own, not saying i’ll think they’ll bring it back with its history, but it’s okay to separate it from its idea/creator. Lego cut all ties with overwatch after the workplace situation (making the first ow2 lego set + the mei mini figure some of the rarest lego collectibles ironically) so it’s entirely possible Lego bastion will never make a comeback as well.
we all have that one skin we regret missing lol. the state overwatch is in now though? i’d say every skin (besides pink mercy, alien zayra, and lego bastion) has a chance of coming back. so definitely keep in touch with each ow2 shop, and do not forget to check the hero gallery and sort “owned and unowned” each update.
I hope pink mercy comes back someday, it shouldn’t have been a 1 time thing, it makes me mad that I saw in the shop and never bought it lol. Blizzcon skins should not ever comeback like the demon hunter sombra did… I’m sorry for those who bought blizzcon ticket for sombra skin. Also blizzard step up your game on blizzcon skins, ever since illidan genji Tyrande symetra you haven’t released something good.
subaquatic zen? that’s one odd actually. not saying it’s a bad skin, just saying there was definitely a certain period of time it was in the shop, removed from the shop, but was still purchasable in the hero gallery along with camo mercy & some ana skin. I guess they aren’t purchaseable out of shop anymore but i’m like 90% subaquatic zen was removed from the shop and was still available in the hero gallery for 700 ow1 credits.
yep. that & ice cream orisa was the only 2 missed skins my friend liked and bought as soon as i notified him they returned. :) mine were elf junkrat & inferno junkrat.. only one has returned tho.
Funny how i have a majority of this skins the skins i dont have were either Blizzcon skins or Overwatch League skins i just didnt cate to get A lot of these skins I enjoy too Like Phantasma Sombra(i swap between, Demon hunter which one as one of the few skins i bought before having it come out in a challenge made me a tad bit upset, and Zhulong), Frosty Hog. Ragdoll Echo (I use Good and Evil just a good skin). That Genji Skin is a skin i wish i got but never came around too. I would say the rarest skin on my account is probably Lego Bastion or that one Mercy skin but idk i dont collect skins really i just get them if there cool or i like the character
I have all these skins except the Blizzcon Bastion and Blizzcon Winston skins. Would love to see a Blizzcon ticket package that includes previous Blizzcon skins so I can complete my OW1 skin collection. My personal favorite is the Mercy Pink skin.
i think one of the developers said past battle pass skins have a chance of appearing again soon. seems like almost nothing in this game is considered “rare” anymore.

Unpopular opinion: let some rare skins stay rare. While there’s some I would like to have, I find it cool to see people with something rare. Showing they’re a veteran player. When rare skins get re-released it makes me want to stop using them.
in my opinion, some skins need to stay rare, but some shouldn’t. Skins like blizzcon exclusives, pink mercy, and legit OW1 veteran skins do not need to come back (pink mercy should only return if another breast cancer charity event is held within the game). What I mean by “OW1 veteran skins” is simply just jester sombra & general doomfist, since those were advertised literally as veteran skins that players of OW1 would unlock a week before OW2. Weekly challenge skins like lego bastion, stone brig & ragdoll echo are skins I think can and should be rereleased at any time since they never exactly stated they would never return what so ever back then, just set them up as weekly challenges. Those felt more in line with Fortnite’s mini battle passes, which release a skin in a short battle pass, then bring it back to the shop months later (Goku, Aang, Shredder) without ever stating it. And you could argue jester sombra and general doom never stated that they couldn’t return either but cmon… they were advertised as gifts for OW1 players before OW2 released… but hey, jester sombra was brought back anyways so…
mistakes: echo's is the owl mvp skin lifeweaver's is the owl home/away skins because u can still buy cassia sombra's is the contenders home/away skins zen's skin was not the first challenge, it was dva nano cola which u literally showed being available in 2018 whereas zen's was 2021
- owl mvp skins return more often than you think. otherwise I wouldn’t have atlantic mercy, midas hog, etc. and have only been playing since 2021. - lifeweaver was brand new when i edited this video, he didn’t even have his owl skins yet. - by that logic, every contenders skin is the rarest, would make pretty boring video. - zens skin was the first challenge to return to the ow2 S H O P, not returned as a challenge.
