Unfortunately Steve would not agree to sell me his ultra rare amp. Bummer. These older VHT Pitbulls from the 90s are becoming difficult to find, I consider myself lucky that I have a friend who owns one, so I can ask him if I can borrow it for a recording session. I had a blast putting this together for you guys, the most fun thing for me a writing the music. In this video I tried to cover all the bases as far as how one could record an amp like this. I feel like the Captor X was the most practical option.
What about you guys though, have you ever played a Pitbull? What's your favorite VHT amp? How would you record this amp if you had one? As always, thanks for watching, liking and commenting!
Also, I found an incredible 3 hour interview with Steven Freyette here if you want to hear more of his story. Super brilliant guy!
