best reason for not sitting over driveline componets is if it breaks where is it going. Your leg. Ever see a driveshaft on a bus break. Other setup was janky but safer on the boys.

If you're going to do a steering wheel it should be a chain steering wheel made from 3/8" link chain in the shape of a U or circle

Those old Briggs carbs have a built in pulse pump to bring the fuel into an upper chamber in the top of the gas tank with an overflow hole so no float bowl was used...!

hey, if you guys are going to keep the karts and stuff in that "shack" you call HQ... go to home depot or online, and order something called a dehumidifier for like 100$... it will make it so nothing will rust.

2 stroke motors are better for high speed go carts plus a 2 stroke wouldn't really fit in with this one

Yes, well sorta. If you want a shifter kart then yes definitely, but 2 stroke engines specifically for go karts are way more expensive than a cheap 5/6.5 horse power engine.

put a Kohler k series from the late'60s early'70s they have a higher displacement then old Briggs they are flat heads and governed they rev to 3600 rpm

chain tensioners work better on the outside of the chain to put more links in contact with the spocket teeth. long chain would have "been fine" if the tensioners were makint the chain tighter around sprockets...

I totally recommended a drive shaft setup when you guys were asking for ideas for the rat rod! Next idea: a grated guard over the drive shaft so you can see it spinning. + you could put foot pegs behind the front tires for your feet. #carsandcameras

You know what would be cool, and add some comfort while riding the rat rod wagon, some foot pegs (kind of like on a harley) on the frame on the outside of the ratrod wagon somewhere near the front, i dont know where exactly, if i could be there i could show you what im talking about. though i doubt it'll happen, i think it would be cool

i hope that right angle box is rated for 3000+ rpm, because the only ones ive seen are for 1500 or less and having one explode right under your nuts would be unfortunate

CarsandCameras no prob. i had the same idea, use a shaft and t box (like a right angle but 2 outputs instead of 1) for a kart drivetrain but the only ones i found in my price range were for +/-1500 rpm and 1hp or less, so i scrapped that idea.

Yo if you want to save as many Centrifugal clutch put some 10w-30 on the outside of the bronze mental bushing must oil every 2-4 hours if you want to keep them form breaking into peaces and the bronze bushing are like 10$ very cheap...
