You would think passenger would have got me into Deftones but it Took this song hearing on the radio now there my second favorite band under Tool.

Anything off the last four albums. Lots of recs for early Deftones, but I think you’d truly appreciate their later work. Love the reaction, nothin like em. And yeah very creative lyrically, speaks in poem and dual/triple meaning

Sure they can go super dark with their lyrics but you haven't really heard DARK disturbing until you go the hardcore metal route. Deftones can go that route but also they're mainstream compared to those other lesser mainstream groups.
