I literally waited 14 years to play this game. I just got my physical copies this week and I can’t wait to hear the end of the story. I’ve waited and waited so long for this. Love every second of it
This is so cool. I’m a huge Alan Wake fan and it’s always cool getting to see he talk about the games. I can’t wait when we get Alan Wake 3 in the future :3
Herald of darkness part is one of my favourites part of the game. Such a catchy song and silly amazing dance. And playing through that section was so cool :3
Extremely impressive! I can't imagine how difficult it would be to match your facial performance to a pre-recorded voice that isn't your own. He's the real deal!
I am a Alan Wake fan since day one (XBOX 360), and i really enjoyed Alan Wake 2. I won't say which moments are my favorite, because if i do it i will most definitely, spoiler the story for those who didn't finished, the game yet.
Its interesting the parallels between Alan and Jessie, Jessie starts off cold and calcuating with finding he brother as her only motivation and she will Lie, cheat, and pretend with Emily, Arish, Marshall yo get there but as the game goes on she grows, and is beginning to see that these. Things are bigger than just her and her brother, she willingly accepts the mantle of Director and is willing to shoulder the burden and responsibility. Where as Alan feel far more Selfish and Desperate now, willing to drag and pull anyone like alex or saga in order to save himself, now we see his fears, his insecurities, and desperation on full display.
I think he voices Thomas Zane doesn't he? Edit: nm Zane was voiced by the late James McCaffrey. So Ilka plays two characters and voices neither. Which is funny because Thomas Zane is Finnish and has a thick accent lol.
Alan Wake is American, and while Ilkka Villi has amazing English, he does still have a Finnish accent. And they probably wanted to keep Matthew Porrertta voicing Alan to have continuity across both games. Ilkka got to use his real for voice Zane though, which is fun :)
@@IceDemonPT Back in 2005, they just wanted to use an American voice because they thought the norm is to have one person as the face and the other person as the voice
Dude. hear me out. For how long will you keep re-posting the same clips of the same interviews again and again? Don't get me wrong, the interviews aren't bad, and sometimes posting these "clips" is okay too (if the things they talk about are worth re-uploading). But this channel needs something more to survive. More content. But different types of content. I mean yeah some interviews here and there, but when you're not doing them just do some in-depth game reviews of the games you've played, even upload the playthroughs of new games that you play. Maybe even do some blind playthroughs of popular games that you have missed out on. Heck, maybe even some live gameplay. Diversity in the content is what you need, my man. Yeah no doubt the interviews are cool but this channel needs more to survive. Take my suggestion. Do some blind playthroughs of some new kinds/types/genres of games and maybe even do some reviews on them. That's what sells. Play some Silent Hill 2 remake, some Resident Evil games, some Fromsoftware games, maybe even, idk, indie games or something. And upload your playthroughs with your facecam+commentary. This channel needs more diversity of content and that is what sells more.
even if you have already played these games, just play them again but now with some audience. I have seen channels with wayy less subs than this take off with playthroughs, especially on the games with more "darker" tone. People love seeing people play a game that they have already experienced and want to re-experience it from a different POV. Start off with some let's plays on some of these- 1. Dark Souls (all 3 of them) 2. Hollow Knight 3. the Resident Evil games (the remakes might be better, and RE:7 definitely) 4. Sekiro 5. Elden Ring 6. Blasphemous 7. Lies of P 8. Maybe even other classics from different genres like Outer Wilds, Undertale, Fallout, RDR(both), Tunic, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Dead Space remake, Hellblade, some Naughty Dog games, etc. Just throwing out some suggestions so that it's helpful in someway or the other because I see that this channel as awesome as it is, has been struggling to get enough interesting content that would grab attention of more people
Idk what you are talking about. Today is this game's anniversary, I posted it for that reason. Also I've chosen moments of the conversation where he's reacting to specific scenes of the game, making this video title exactly what it is. Also if you take a look at my videos, the entire year has never been a 'repeat' as you have said. So no I'm not re-posting these videos, these videos are being posted for a VERY SPECIFIC REASON. While I appreciate your feedback and also your suggestion, I won't be following it because I've done this before and my content is and will be interviews for as long as I can do. As for gaining attention? My interviews have gained the most attention than my own content for the last 8 years.
Just jumping in with my thoughts here! I don’t think your suggestion would actually benefit his channel. He’s already tried some of what you mentioned, and honestly, those didn’t perform as well as his current podcast episodes. Plus, it would really take him away from the niche he’s built up. His channel’s been growing steadily without needing to dive back into gaming like other channels do. He doesn’t need it, in my opinion. He already explored that route and had a rough time with it for years, so your suggestion kind of goes against how his content has evolved. Those short clips he posts actually do wonders for his algorithm and engagement. If they’re not your style, no problem! But asking him to completely change his niche just because you think it might help doesn’t really add much value for him. Unless you’ve got a track record of helping creators grow with similar suggestions, I’d say it’s better to keep those opinions in check. Stuff like this can really mess with a creator’s confidence, especially when they’ve worked so hard to get here. I’m genuinely proud of how far Abhi’s come. Hitting 10k subs is huge, and he’s done it without relying on gaming. He’s outgrown that phase, and it’s working for him!
idk man. just thought it would still be more interesting than milking the clips out of same few interviews over and over that your viewers have already watched a dozen times.
