This actually seems legit to me. I've seen many girls who would love to have *a boyfriend who would crossdress* into the style that they're interested in. But what would happen if he really got into it, then it might become a bit competitive. XD *I actually know a guy who's into lolita and wants a lolita girlfriend,* but he claims that he doesn't want a girl that is prettier than him. He wants to feel like a princess around her. I don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend but I have a close friend who occasionally takes pictures for me and my bestie and this reminds me so much of how it goes!

Beginner's Question: Are Scarves allowed in lolita if they match the coordinate? Can themes outside of the well known substyles like techno, egyptian, pin up, or others be used in Lolita while still following the shape and modesty rules or does that make it to Costume-ish? If we choose to wear wigs, what are some great stores that specialize in higher quality realistic looking wigs that are a little more expensive bot not overpriced? Any other advice? I'm a new wanna be lolita who is working 2 jobs to save up for her first coordinate. Thanks for reading this if you've gotten this far!

My boyfriend is baffled by it all, but that's because he just likes plain, understated clothing, regardless of style or connotations lolita has. Though lately he has seen one or two coordinates he could say were cute, and some casual ones of mine that he thought weren't too ridiculous. I just know he is less keen on prints, particularly border prints. I can understand that as it's a dyeing technique that seems more modern and mass-produced/cheap to him. He's very quiet and a computer geek. Even if he thinks my clothes are weird we have fun playing games and quiet nights in.

Ok so 2 things... I am a beginning lolita (I'm hoping to buy my first coord by August) yet I am also Muslim and I do wear the hijab....how do I do this other than long sleeve blouses... like for my legs and trying to find scarves that would tie well with it... please help !
