My first proper F1 wheel for the sim racing rig, right after exiting the race in Emilia Romagna Grand Prix 👌 Any F1 fans here? 😬 Check out this *1500€* wheel base - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZKjhdXIsLMc.html My T300RS GT review - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7eGDNOAnclc.html and my first sim rig experience - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wd3yjXxjcrU.html
I've tried a couple of other games like ACC, PC3 and iRacing, it doesn't work as of now, only loops logos. I do think they will add support in the future.
@@MattsPaddock If you play iRacing, you might noticed a bug they introduced with the last patch. That one is basically the Thrustmaster SF1000 compatibility being released to early and causing problems as some found out over the last few days. So support is definetly coming which is fantastic!
SO, which buttons do you use with F1 2x - and actually USE? Love the look but new to F1 2x. And, do you look down at the wheel rather than monitor? Ie., is the screen useful in play?
I have a thrust master Evo Alcantara rim at the moment as I used to play GT Sport a lot. I have just started with F1 24 and like the look of the SF 1000 rim. My question is how many buttons and knobs are used in a Formula One race? Is the information on the SF 1000 useful and do all the buttons and knobs make any difference? It certainly looks the business. I have just installed my wheel on a new Playseat and the rim is in just the right place to see the display - just where the on screen display is in the F1 24 cockpit view. Curious from some insight from current F124 players, especially if you use the SF1000.
Wer weiß was? Den Thrustmaster Support erreicht man nicht telefonisch und per Mail antworten die bisher nicht. Liebe Grüße Stefan
In your opinion, is it better to buy it in day one or wait for the commercial release on August 26 to perhaps avoid possible technical problems at the start of the series?
I have the base t300 rs gt set to ps3 for use with my pc. Does this wheel work with my base? Also Will the additional chrono paddles have to be the pc version or the playstation version? Many thanks everyone.
It looks nice but kind of cheap at the same time. The screen is probably the best part of this wheel, but I'm usually never looking down at my wheel anyway. I love all the buttons and dials, but again, too much plastic. It'd be nice to have a third set of paddles, like the Fanatec APM, but that would probably drive the price up even more. And the wheel in general just looks kind of light in weight. Definite upgrade over previous TM F1 type wheels though. I'd still love to get my hands on one to try it out.
It’s £299 what do you expect? They’ve done better than most people expected actually. All the buttons work. The LED lights work on PlayStation and PC. The screen is fully customisable on PC.
@@FormulaProg this isn't better than the Formula V2. It has a screen, that's about the only thing it has over the V2. Everything on this thing is plastic. Good for a budget rig, but nowhere near the quality of a Fanatec rim. Give me a metal rim with decent buttons over a screen that I will probably never actually use in race. My eyes are usually on the monitor, not down at my steering wheel.
@@ccramit I have the formula v2 and the McLaren wheel by fanatec and I don’t know what youve seen but the formula v2 is a full hard plastic design with a carbon fibre plate on the front only. It’s the exact same material philosophy as this by thrustmaster.
Can you change your rotation in the Thrustmaster Settings? I want to use 320 degree, but starting F1 always reset the settings to 360 degrees. Does it work for you?
So the screen doesn't work with other games like ACC so far. But does the rev limiter work at other games? Great review btw, i'm so excited for this wheel!

Seems like there is a lot of latency between info changing on the SF1000 wheel display, and the in-game display. I've paused the video a few times and counted the frames between the in-game display showing a gear change, and the wheel display showing that same gear change. On average that was 6 frames of difference. Which at the 30 frames per second framerate of this video, means there is a 200ms delay (ignoring the already existing latency between the steer input, video card and monitor). This is consistent with what I saw in videos from other youtubers showcasing this wheel. This seems as quite a lot to me in a racing game where milliseconds matter. And this is in native mode, not even in the Wi-Fi mode that presumably adds even more latency. I hope this will be improved with some firmware or software updates, because other than that this seems like a great wheel.
It's a shame for Thrustmaster it isnt compatible with he old T500 RS Base... seems they want us too buy there new Bases too to use this... for me this wheel was a good argument to stay on Thrustmaster Products for more years but now I know i will rather buy a Fanatec Base + Wheel when it comes to
I quite like it but: 1 - it doesn't work on the T500RS, 2 - the buttons are not fully configurable, 3 - The LCD Screen is only useful in F1 2020 at the moment. I'll stick with my current wheels + sim dashboard, which work with ALL driving games, I must thank TM for saving me £350 by making this wheel incompatible with the T500RS.
@@MattsPaddock lol, also on xbox you need the phone app to use the screen (xbox doesn't use Bluetooth for accessories like ps4 can) so that means game that don't have UDP like ACC and assetto corsa screen won't be usable......
not worth much to me if no good with race room or iracing or others, as well that very large dial in the middle does not function?? really??? why the hell not, its like going halfway.
I cant wait for a Sim Racing Garage teardown, and a USB conversion kit is created to use on Fanatec's new CSL DD, and the quick release eco system. CMON Thrustmaster, release this damn thing so I can modify it to work on direct drive!!!!!!!
They did Ferrari last time, kinda wish they’d gone with like Merc instead this time. Especially as Merc have been the most dominant in F1 for the last 7 seasons
Im deeply dissapointed that it yet only works in the F1 Game....I really Hope they will add way more Games (for example ACC) If they Not its a big No No from my side and would be deeply dissapointed with TM
@@Daz555Daz it also needs to come from TM, for the Dashboard, RPM LEDS that you also need to Line Up properly and those three dial switches with what you Change the Dashboard Layouts.
THRUSTMASTER lol ils fabriquent uniquement des produits pour les youtubers je pense lol pas encore en vente qu'il est en rupture de stock bravo thrusmaster bravo ! elle est longue la compagnie de Nvidia
My T500 RS is still running after 7 years and thousands of hrs. Recently bought a new spare Base and was thinking about replacing my Original F1 wheel too. Shame they dropped T500 but apart from the display and a few extra switches for close to $600.00 Australian Dollars I'm happy to go without this latest offering.
@@dumian_ You think Fanatec rims are expensive? They’re very good value compared to some of the actual high end stuff, Precision sim engineering has an F1 wheel RIM ( no base no pedals, just the wheel itself ) for like 3,500 euros
